Israel is suspected of remotely detonating thousands of walkie-talkie radios and other devices in a second wave of attacks targeting Hezbollah.
At least three people were killed in the east of Lebanon and more than 100 were wounded in the new explosions in southern Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold, on Wednesday, Lebanon’s health ministry said.
Witnesses and Hezbollah officials said the explosions were as a result of the group’s walkie-talkies as well as motorbike radios and security locks blowing up across Lebanon. Sources told Lebanese news outlet L’Orient Today that devices were detonated inside cars, residential apartments and shops.

Further down the article is report that solar energy systems were among the devices that exploded in Beirut. That has to put a damper on the remote camera and radio systems that Hezbollah operates.

What can one say to this but Outstanding Israel, Outstanding. Looks like the muslim savages at Hezbollah and in Iran will soon be communicating using two cups and a string between them.

I think if I was one of them, I'd be seriously considering retiring from the terrorist business about now.
What next? Doctored ammo for their guns? Replace the gunpowder with something really brisant?

According to the Jerusalem Post this morning A bunch of pagers went off in Syria and kill 19 and wounded 150 IROC soldiers. Syria now knows who the remaining friendly side spies in their ranks are.

Psyops brought to a whole new level. You can bet that terrorists are dumping ALL their electronics into dumpsters and "running scared". They'll be terrified of all electronics for years.
They will be reduced to passing notes via couriers for comms.

The Mosad is awesome. They go after the real enemy, unlike our idiot security agencies who use their resources to harass their domestic political opponents.

#6, had to look up "brisant." You're recommending a modern version of "fire in the pan"?
#10, It seems to be a (planned) battery problem; buy from reliable sources.

This is fantastic! If anyone (ahem: ^^) has a problem with it, let me remind you of the attack by Hamas on innocent civilians on October 7, 2023.
No, Hamas and Hezbollah are getting EXACTLY what they deserve.

Ah, brisance, the difference between exploding and detonating. The shattering force of a high explosive. The difference between cracking a concrete wall and pulverizing it instantly into dust. Sometimes you want to push something, sometimes you want to break it.
This is what led me to believe that there was no mere hack to make batteries burst. The videos I have seen show a high pressure blast going off. Too much force for it's size.

So just thinking out loud here....but could similar tampering be done on other electronics? How about tv's? X box? Laptops? Ring doorbells? Car key fobs? Just in time for Christmas.

Cool.
By the way, lithium batteries can go off pretty well all by themselves, like this E-bike battery (granted that an E-bike battery is a lot bigger than a pager/cell phone battery)

When it comes to targeting the bad guys, this is close as you can get to minimizing collateral damage. And, unlike 80% of Palestinians, the Lebanonese approve of what Israel did.
