George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley on Friday said that Judge Juan Merchan’s decision to delay former President Donald Trump’s sentencing could be an effort to avoid boosting his campaign. Merchan had scheduled Trump’s sentencing for Sept. 18, but on Friday, he postponed the date to Nov. 26 “if necessary,” according to his order. Turley, on “America Reports,” claimed that Merchan’s rulings against Trump during his case were advantageous to his reelection bid, suggesting that maintaining the September sentencing date would have further intensified support for the former president.

Perhaps the plan is to sentence Trump to jail in case he wins the election. What happens if Trump is in jail on inauguration day? These people are desperate.

I don't think Merchan cares what anybody thinks about him. He intends to try to do his part in destroying Trump. Merchan is self-consumed with TDS. Nothing else matters to him. He couldn't care less about getting dis-barred and being completely shunned by his peers. Hate brings with it serious consequences.

Merchan cares nothing about Turley's postulates. Merchan knows his case is on eggshells, postponed it until after the election, so he could sentence Trump to jail, and embarrass him. Merchan knows Trump will appeal to avoid jail, and eventually have the case thrown out by SCOTUS---but he will have succeeded in smearing him, and costing Trump time and millions. I hope Trump appoints Mike Davis AG, who has said he would settleup with Merchan and the rest of the lawfare group.

Another foreign born judge who causes election interference on a national scale knowing that the leftists in government will protect him. Time will tell on the last part however, as rules of "discovery" may yield horrifically damaging evidence of "collusion" between WH and DOJ and State of NY to put this one in the "win column" for Kommonlaw Harris.

Merchan and Bragg knew from the beginning that this farce would be thrown out on appeal. Bragg wanted to be in the news to advance his political career. Their mission was to get Trump convicted as a felon and they accomplished that. It didn’t have the impact on Trump that they were hoping for, quite the opposite. Look for this mess to die. The appeal process would expose them for what they are.

In Illinois, they've figured out how to save the planet: They're snatching the mini-shampoo bottles off your sink at that pricey hotel you're staying at and making you use a big communal bottle instead. No more cute souvenirs of your travels for you. According to Illinois Policy, which appears to be a local think tank: The days are numbered for small shampoo bottles in Illinois hotels because of a new law signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker. Hotels with more than 50 rooms are banned from providing single-use plastic bottles of shampoo, mouthwash and other toiletries starting July 1, 2025. If a hotel has less than 50 rooms, the law takes effect on Jan. 1, 2026.

Hunter, it seems, just can’t get a break. First, he gets convicted of all three counts on an illegal gun purchase. That doesn’t sound like much but it carries a potential 25-year sentence. Bad luck, that conviction. This week, his trial for tax evasion was to begin. At the last minute, he trotted out a scheme where he pleads guilty without admitting guilt. (It’s a lawyer thing.) The prosecutors were having none of it, and the judge was skeptical. So then, Hunter just entered a straight guilty plea on all nine counts. They carry a potential 17-year sentence. If he were sentenced to the maximum on both the gun and the tax charges,
