There are many people who still do not quite fully understand and accept the role of the Intelligence Community (IC) in the manipulation of American politics. Perhaps this recent announcement by Liz Cheney and her father, Dick Cheney the former Defense Secretary, will awaken a few more.
Go back to the 2016 election and the rise of outsider, then candidate Donald Trump. There was one other genuine outsider in the race, Ben Carson.
Who was moved into position as Carson’s campaign manager during that well-documented “splitter strategy” effort to install the Hillary Clinton/Jeb Bush illusion of choice? Answer: Mary Cheney. Yes, the IC has a lot of ways to wrap their tentacles

A scientist is calling for Americans to cut off air conditioning after refusing to use it for 25 years during the throes of the summer in order to combat climate change.
Stan Cox is an Ecosphere Fellow at the Land Institute who also believes the U.S. military is an "enemy" to mitigating climate change. He wrote a guest essay in the New York Times on Saturday, "I Swore Off Air-Conditioning, and You Can, Too," claiming that "air-conditioning is making our summers even hotter" due to climate change.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that people should judge for themselves if Russian President Vladimir Putin was teasing, trolling, or being entirely serious when he said he would prefer Kamala Harris as U.S. president over Donald Trump.
Putin expressed a preference for Harris while he was attending the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on Thursday.
“I told you our favorite, if you can call it that, was the current President Mr. Biden. He was removed from the race, but he recommended all his supporters to support Ms. Harris. So we will do the same. We will support her,” Putin said.

Prominent attorney Alan Dershowitz announced his departure from the Democratic Party, citing several "anti-Jewish" lawmakers that make up the ranks of the party and the recent Democratic National Convention in which Vice President Kamala Harris became the party's presidential nominee. Speaking with radio host Zev Brenner on "Talkline with Zev Brenner," Dershowitz cited the DNC, which he said gave legitimacy to anti-Israel speakers, and anti-Israel protesters outside the gathering.
"It was the most anti-Jewish, anti-Israel, anti-Zionist convention I've experienced," he said. "I was disgusted at the Democratic National Convention. Absolutely disgusted.”

Rather than focusing on building better soldiers and leaders for warfighting, some commanders of the U.S. Army are using their time to attack conservatives and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
The Gateway Pundit spoke to Army officer Justin Williamson (a pseudonym) who reached out to the author to disclose “the highly partisan and leftist ideology that has become prevalent in the past four years.”
In recent years, Williamson witnessed “the behind-the-scenes workings of political bias being exercised by senior leaders.” He said, “There are significant examples as they relate to the leadership professional development

In Illinois, they've figured out how to save the planet: They're snatching the mini-shampoo bottles off your sink at that pricey hotel you're staying at and making you use a big communal bottle instead.
No more cute souvenirs of your travels for you.
According to Illinois Policy, which appears to be a local think tank:
The days are numbered for small shampoo bottles in Illinois hotels because of a new law signed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker.
Hotels with more than 50 rooms are banned from providing single-use plastic bottles of shampoo, mouthwash and other toiletries starting July 1, 2025.
If a hotel has less than 50 rooms, the law takes effect on Jan. 1, 2026.

On Friday, the Biden White House announced it would write another multi-million dollar check to Ukraine in addition to the $113.4 billion it has already given the country. U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced that the United States would provide Ukraine with a $250 million aid package that includes missiles, armored vehicles, and anti-tank weapons. Austin said the aid package will “surge in more capabilities to meet Ukraine's evolving requirements.”
“This announcement demonstrates the United States’ enduring commitment to Ukraine’s self-defense against Russia’s brutal aggression,”

Kamala Harris is preparing for her 'do or die' debate against presidential rival Donald Trump on Tuesday by practising against an aide wearing an orange wig, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.
The US Vice President has spent all week in intense preparations for the 90-minute debate in Philadelphia, which many believe will decide the outcome of November's presidential election.
Ms Harris has been staging twice-daily mock debates in a room full of advisers, with close aide Philippe Reines playing the role of Mr Trump, complete with orange wig and three-inch platforms in his shoes to make him the same imposing height

One of the things that is just so infuriating is when you look at the way Democrats and Republicans are treated in the media, in particular, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris versus former President Donald Trump.
They are constantly telling lies and repeating hoaxes about Trump, yet the media not only doesn't call them out on it, they repeat it and spread the hoaxes without question. Then they say Trump lies. It's a constant propaganda war machine to indoctrinate the public. The good thing is now, with the rise

The family of Aysenur Eygi, an American woman who was shot and killed in the Israeli-occupied West Bank on Friday, is demanding an independent investigation into her death. Witnesses, activists and Palestinian media said the dual U.S.-Turkish national was shot by Israeli troops while attending a pro-Palestinian demonstration against settlement expansion in the Nablus area of the northern West Bank, near the town of Beita. (Snip) Eygi, who was raised in Seattle, arrived in the West Bank days before her death to volunteer with the International Solidarity Movement, which helps young foreigners support Palestinians. Pollack helps train them. She was

There’s a new chapter in the saga of the Colorado apartment complexes that have been overrun, and de facto seized, by gang members who are suspected to be illegal aliens; they are in fact illegal aliens, part of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua cartel, and admitted to the United States by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, confirmed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement after four of the criminals were recently arrested. For some of the earlier developments, see an essay I wrote on the viral video of heavily armed gang members caught on a doorbell camera,

The Democrats' razor thin control of the Senate is not looking very solid at this point. The latest good news for Senate Republicans comes in the form of an AARP poll out of Montana which shows Republican candidate Tim Sheehy leading Democrat Jon Tester by 8 points.
Vulnerable Democratic Sen. Jon Tester trails his GOP opponent by 8 points in a new independent poll of Montana’s Senate race — a result that could very well tip control of the Senate to Republicans.
Republican Tim Sheehy took 49 percent of the vote, compared to Tester’s 41 percent,
