Just like in Africa, the "leaders" live lavishly off the trillions of dollars pumped into that continent for decades. Same with duhmocrat cities here, the money gets siphoned off into black leader pockets. Must be a cultural thing.

The California legislature passed a bill banning local governments from adopting voter identification laws for local elections. California does not require identification to vote, but earlier this year, the City of Huntington Beach approved a voter ID requirement for municipal elections starting in 2026. This bill would override Huntington Beach’s policy. “An overwhelming body of evidence proves that voter ID laws only subvert voter turnout and create barriers to law abiding voters,” wrote bill author State Sen. Dave Min, D-Irvine.

Effective July 2025, teacher licensing rules passed last year in Minnesota under Democrat Gov. Tim Walz will ban practicing Christians, Jews, and Muslims from teaching in public schools. Without a teaching license, individuals cannot work in Minnesota public schools, nor in the private schools that require such licenses. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. officially lost his U.S. Secret Service (USSS) protection on Monday, just days after his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race. Kennedy's press secretary confirmed the change in a statement to CBS News. Kennedy had gone through a long process to receive USSS protection in the first place, with his initial requests being denied earlier in the cycle. It was not until the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump in July that President Biden ordered that Kennedy receive Secret Service protection as well.

In a message to participants in the European Alpbach Forum, an Austrian nonprofit foundation advocating a strong and democratic Europe, the pontiff said that Europe is “experiencing a time of crisis,” a time “in which various populist movements are enjoying great popularity.” In Europe, “as a result of this ‘wave’ of populism, some ideals have vanished and some principles, with regard to behavior towards the weaker members of society, have been sidelined,” he added.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Because the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld California outlawing talk therapy for minors with unwanted same-sex attraction, it must likewise uphold Idaho's ban on invasive and potentially irreversible medical treatments to make gender-confused minors resemble the opposite sex, the Gem State's outside lawyer told a three-judge panel Thursday. Alliance Defending Freedom senior counsel John Bursch invoked the 2013 Pickup precedent, celebrated at the time by LGBTQ activists for finding that California's SB 1172 does not violate the "fundamental parental right to make important medical decisions for their children"

Did you catch Kamala Harris's first "interview" as the Democratic Party nominee for president? It was pretty much everything you'd expect from an interview conducted by CNN. Lots of softball questions, lots of word salad responses. CNN anchor Dana Bash actually asked some decent questions, but what really struck me about the interview was that Kamala Harris, more often than not, avoided answering most of the questions, and Bash didn't seem to be concerned with getting an actual answer. You knew things were going to be bad when Harris really struggled to give a coherent answer to the cliché question about what she would do on "on day one."
