Kamala's First 'Interview' Was the Dumpster

Did you catch Kamala Harris's first "interview" as the Democratic Party nominee for president? It was pretty much everything you'd expect from an interview conducted by CNN. Lots of softball questions, lots of word salad responses. CNN anchor Dana Bash actually asked some decent questions, but what really struck me about the interview was that Kamala Harris, more often than not, avoided answering most of the questions, and Bash didn't seem to be concerned with getting an actual answer. You knew things were going to be bad when Harris really struggled to give a coherent answer to the cliché question about what she would do on "on day one."

Of the parts I watched, Dana would ask Harris or Walz a question, they'd avoid it, and then Dana would go to a commercial break hyping her next question I'd call it softball, but that's insulting to softballs. At the end, Dana said they would offer the same to Trump-Vance. If you think she'd act the same to them, well, I got a nice bridge in Brooklyn for sale. Cheap. Cash only.

Since Kamala looked at the TV cameras less than half the time during in interview, instead looked down, it is fair to say that Kamala was either looking at crib sheets that were below the TV picture that viewers at home could not see or was receiving what her staff figured was acceptable answers to questions asked by the moderator that were known to them beforehand.

Of the parts I saw, I thought Dana Bash looked scared and nervous. I sense she was afraid that whatever she asked would offend either the candidates or the network execs, or both. Thinking about CNN cutting half the interview, I wonder if she wasn’t just plain exasperated with the session slipping from her control.

Why would anyone expect anything substantive from Dana Bash whose ex-husband, Jeremy Bash, was one off the 51 former (chief of staff for the CIA Director) intel officials who signed the letter saying Hunter's laptop had all the signs of Russian disinformation. I guess they don't even teach journalism aka Dem propagandist how to conduct a decent interview. And Dana, why oh why didn't you ask Kamala if she still stands by her decision at being the last person in the room when the decision to pull out of Afghanistan was made three years ago? Cause you Dana in that same interview almost broke out into a big smile at the thought that this woman of color was the last person in the room... We lost power last night due to a severe thunderstorm so was spared having to argue with husband over watching it as he just loves to mock her. I can't stand the big open mouth of hers.

When you consider the fact that Harris was give the questions that she was going to be asked before the interview took place, her answers were not that great. If you accept her statement that her philosophy has not changed, one can only wonder why her policies have changed so dramatically now compared to what they have been for the past three and a half years. The only philosophy that fits this is, say what she believes will get people to vote for her, but not feel bound to do what she says.

Asked in this "interview" if she has "any regrets about what you told the American people" concerning Joe Biden's mental and physical health, Kamala's answer was "No, not at all." So, remember this. Her response to being asked if she regrets LYING to the American people is "No, not at all." What else has she lied about? What else will she lie about? Obviously she feels no remorse or regret about lying to the American people nor any responsibility for the negative repercussions of said lies. How Trump Can Win On Energy: Zero Energy Poverty 4 replies

Kamala Harris and her new running mate, Tim Walz, will impoverish America. That’s the best way to understand one of their most important – yet least-known – policy pipe dreams. As vice president, Harris has backed so-called “net zero,” which means offsetting every iota of manmade greenhouse gases. Walz, as governor, has pushed one of the most aggressive net-zero policies in America, mandating no carbon emissions in Minnesota by 2040. This promise is economic suicide. Not only is it unachievable, but ramping up unreliable and costly energy sources like wind and solar while eliminating reliable and affordable options like natural gas and nuclear power is disastrous.

In 2008, when Barack Obama was running for president, he flat out lied about opposing gay marriage based on his deep Christian beliefs. We know this because in a book published in 2015, former senior adviser to the president David Axelrod described Obama, after such a speech, complaining to him, "I’m just not very good at bulls---ing." It turns out he actually was pretty good at it. Today the American people have to ask themselves how good Vice President Kamala Harris is at B.S. as she seeks to transform herself from a San Francisco progressive into a blue-dog centrist Democrat.

All icing and no cake. That’s the only way to describe the Democratic National Convention that mercifully ended Thursday night with Kamala Harris’s acceptance speech as the party’s improbable nominee. The icing, of course, was all the joy shoved down America’s collective throats from Chicago, a city where more than two dozen have been shot since the convention began, all without a care in the world about the state of the country. On Night Three alone, the word “joy” was said 30 times by various speakers. But that wasn’t close to the word uttered most from podium. Instead, the gold medal goes to a name: Trump.

They did so like someone drowning in turbulent waters who is suddenly thrown a lifeline. Support for Trump became a survival instinct for the millions who viewed him as their last hope. Come 2023 and 2024, millions of Americans cast their eyes toward Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Like Trump, they saw him as a non-politician who could not be cowered or controlled by the special interests. They saw Kennedy as a truthteller who would fight for them against the elites in both parties.

Trump’s narrow 2016 victory in Michigan, where he won by just 10,704 votes (0.22%), marked the first time a Republican had claimed the state’s 16 electoral votes since George H. W. Bush in 1988. However, in 2020, he lost the state by 154,181 votes, or 2.78%. The question now looms: Can he reclaim the Great Lakes State in 2024? Historically, polls have often underestimated Trump’s performance in Michigan while overestimating that of his Democratic opponents. On Thursday, former President Donald Trump generated a firestorm of controversy in pro-life political circles.[Snip]In response, Trump stated, “I think the six-week is too short. There has to be more time.” Many interpreted his comments to mean he would vote in favor of Amendment 4.[Snip]Lately, many pro-lifers have been frustrated with Trump because he has offered them precious little in terms of commitments on abortion policy.[Snip]By simply raising concerns about the full implications of Amendment 4, Trump could win back the support of some skeptical pro-life voters. More importantly, he would be performing a valuable service for pro-lifers in Florida and across the country.

Is Kamala Harris having second thoughts about picking Tim Walz as her running mate? If she isn't, she probably should be. A new poll out of Pennsylvania is shedding some light on just how much of an own-goal that was. Before getting there, though, the topline is really good news for Donald Trump, showing him tied in the head-to-head and leading in the five-way matchup (which is more relevant). It appears Harris' momentum has been completely halted, with no perceivable bounce from the DNC. Bob Casey, the Democrat senator up for re-election in Pennsylvania, only being up two points is also a huge result for Republicans.
