POTTERVILLE, Mich. — Former President Donald Trump said in an interview with NBC News on Thursday that if he is elected, his administration would not only protect access to in-vitro fertilization but would also have either the government or insurance companies cover the cost of the expensive service for American women who need it.
"We are going to be, under the Trump administration, we are going to be paying for that treatment," Trump said before adding, "We're going to be mandating that the insurance company pay." Asked to clarify whether the government would pay for IVF services or whether insurance companies would do so, Trump reiterated that one option

So we are paying for abortions, sex changes, prescription drugs, healthcare, school tuition, housing, EV's, Palestinians, Israel, Ukraine, UN, NATO. Heck, why don't the government just pay for everything? This has gotten absurd. Total lunacy.

No! What happens to all the fertilized embryos that are not chosen to be implanted? They are "stored". Until and if the "parents" "choose" to "use" them. What happens if they are not chosen? They continue to be stored. Until when? That question has not been answered, yet more and more of these precious almost-lives are created every day and put on ice. For how long? For how many? Is this part of God's Plan? Lives begun outside of the womb, never implanted and never born? I don't think so. This is Dr. Mengele territory, nor matter how you dress it up with compassion for women who cannot conceive: In The End, This Is Evil.

Please stop. America can't be great again if government still has inroads into our lives. Make government small again.

Yes, I understand wanting smaller government. Yet, on one side, abortions and vasectomies are being handed out free. The other side is asking for IVF. Death versus life. Sorry, I know what I would choose.

Why? There will be four babies aborted for every one that receives reproductive help. That's kind of counter productive for everybody, especially the taxpayers who will foot the bill.

I have observed several of these IVF and fertility drug situations.
My conclusion is that when God says no, it should be no.
I have seen babies born needing multiple heart surgeries, babies born missing a thumb, children that were bipolar and became addicts, cancer genes passed down....
We are dealing with broken down genetics that are getting more torn up with each generation.
Nature knows when two genes are not a good match up.
That being said, Trump may be trying to right his wrong with those rushed "vaccines".

Yeah, that's the ticket. We can create a Federal department of IVF.
Several hundred billion a year budget. What could go wrong?
I agree with #8 and 15.

This is a state issue not a federal government issue. Stop punching holes in the Constitution. This is far from any enumerated power. I'm not sure it is a state issue. It may be one of those powers retained by the WTP. There cannot be a limited government and one that gets to decided what is and isn't one of its powers. The Constitution can only be changed by the amendment process. It felt good to see our rights validated and the federal government stopped by the Constitution from deciding whether we have the right to own automatic weapons. That is what freedom feels like. We have no protection outside of the Constitution. We can see what happens: a bloated government ruining our lives; spending that has bankrupting us; wars created by the executive branch, invasions of our borders, harboring our enemies, and as an example of overreaching the EPA claiming puddles are navigable waters. America fought a revolution against empire building by government and our way of life only exists if the federal government is held at bay. We may not be able to turn by the hand of time but we can start chipping away at the rot. This is not a federal government issue.

I went through IVF four times in the 80’s when it was about $5,000 a pop and we paid for it ourselves because insurance wouldn’t cover it. Can I get reimbursed for that now? Not really - I don’t want our tax dollars paying for abortions and I don’t want it for IVF either.
For #8…We had all of our fertilized eggs implanted but we signed a form which would put any that weren’t used available for adoption. There are woman who are born without any eggs at all.
Ultimately I got pregnant with twins on the last attempt but miscarried both of them and we were blessed to adopt a newborn the following year.

Exactly, #20. I hate it when PDJT just shoots from the hip like that.....this morning he's moved on to lifting death penalty moratorium! Fine, but quit the scattershot pronouncements....he also tends to do it when he's "feeling his oats" so to speak. Then he just ends up riling the media/dems and overtaking his triumphs. Just stay the course when it's working!!

IVF is already covered by private insurance if I'm not mistaken.
