Dr. Anthony Fauci was hospitalized earlier this month with West Nile virus for nearly a week before the 83-year-old continued his recovery at home, a spokesperson for the official shared. The former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) contracted the mosquito-borne illness but is expected to fully recover, a spokesperson told Fox News. The top COVID-19 official ran the NIAID for four decades and consulted both former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden’s administrations during the pandemic before retiring in 2022.

I am really wanting to call BS on Fauci having WNV. First if his symptoms were so mild, why would they test for WNV??? It is seldom tested for if you come in with unusual symptoms. It is only tested for as a last resort to find out what is wrong with you. Other mosquito/insect diseases are tested first (lyme disease, etc). Also at his age to have only a mild case??? Nahhh.

FTA: "There are no vaccines or treatments for the virus, according to the CDC" Anybody believe the CDC and company would have thrown this scare out if they didn't have a newly discovered 'vaccine' ready for deployment? And months before the elections, too.

Pretty rare virus to catch. This reeks of Fauci being exposed in a lab leak situation. Probably some gain of function effort to make the virus airborne or person to person, instead of relying on mosquitos as vectors. Crazy, I know. But this sicko was behind Covid gain of function, that also got loose early. In fact, I’ll make a bet on it.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted Monday that the Biden administration pressured Facebook to censor COVID-19 content and acknowledged it was wrong to stifle The Post’s coverage of Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop. In an explosive letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), Zuckerberg wrote that “senior Biden administration officials, including the White House, repeatedly pressured” Meta to “censor” content related to the coronavirus pandemic in 2021. The content the Biden administration requested that Meta take down included “humor and satire,” according to the Facebook founder, and he said he regrets complying with certain demands.

The sound of explosions rang out in central Kyiv on Monday morning during rush hour as Ukraine’s military warned of a massive Russian missile and drone attack following waves of drone attacks in the early hours. The air force told Ukrainians Russia had 11 TU-95 strategic bombers in the air and confirmed the launch of a number of missiles. Outside the Ukrainian capital, Reuters reporters heard the sound of air defenses engaging targets. Local authorities reported explosions in the northwestern city of Lutsk and said an apartment block had been damaged and that they were verifying possible casualties.

Vice Presidential nominee Senator JD Vance, appears on Meet the Press for an argumentative debate on Trump policy. On the issue of tariffs, this might have been JD Vance’s first opportunity to set the record straight about what tariffs did in the first Trump administration. Unfortunately, because JD Vance did not have the data to refute the NBC talking points, he missed an opportunity to set the record straight. Tariffs did not raise prices and consumers did not pay tariff rates in the first Trump administration. Factually, the exact opposite happened. Prices dropped when Trump tariffs were put into place, the reasons are explained after the interview.

In reality today there is no difference between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. The Democratic National Convention in Chicago this week was one heck of a production. Less like a normal political convention and more like a glitzy Hollywood one. With a host of A-list celebrities and B-list politicians, it felt most like the Oscars. So in honor of this, the Academy would like to hand out a set of awards for the best performances in Chicago this week: Best Actress — Nancy Pelosi There really was no competition in this category. Nancy Pelosi gave the performance of a lifetime, reading every one of her lines without cracking.

Vice President Kamala Harris capped the star-studded Democratic National Convention on Thursday by vowing to unite Americans and usher in a “new way forward” — but offered little insight into her policy agenda that would achieve that. Harris, 59, formally accepted her party’s presidential nomination in a speech that focused on her “middle-class” background and painted former President Donald Trump as an “unserious man” whose election would have “extremely serious” consequences for American democracy. In the nearly 40-minute address, Harris leaned heavily on her childhood and her “unexpected” journey to the White House. “America, the path that led me here in recent weeks was no doubt unexpected.

Not only do Democrats fashion themselves the protectors of “democracy,” they claim to be champions of decency. Well, if the second day of the Democratic National Convention is any indication, the left doesn’t have any claim to the moral high ground. For one thing, no one at the DNC seemed even mildly constrained by the truth. More than once, for instance, Democrats falsely claimed that former President Donald Trump had referred to the tiki torch Nazis of Charlottesville as “very fine people.” Democrats also falsely accused the former president of instructing Americans to “inject bleach” during the COVID pandemic.

If a person was forced to pick one word to describe the third night of the Democratic National Committee it would probably be “exhausting.” It was nearly 11 pm, three hours into the prime-time portion of the day, when our monotonous Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg finally hit the DNC stage. Now, I’m not a professional political advisor, but one highly doubts that voters — most of whom would be waking up for work on Thursday – were clamoring to hear from the bungling head of the least important bureaucracy in the country. Mayor Pete had just followed the governor of Maryland,

Gabbard, 43, took part in a recent strategy session with the former president, 78, at his Mar-Lago estate ahead of his September debate against the 59-year-old Democratic nominee, according to the New York Times. Gabbard, who at one point was on Trump’s lengthy running mate shortlist, has experience debating Harris dating back to their time as Democratic presidential primary candidates in 2019, and she unleashed a blistering attack on the then-California senator’s record as top prosecutor in the Golden State in one of their showdowns.

Smith narrowed the allegations after a landmark Supreme Court ruling on presidential power earlier this year. The new 36-page charging document is based on a more refined set of allegedly criminal acts after the Supreme Court ruled Trump was immune from prosecution for some of the conduct included in Smith's original 45-page indictment returned last year. The event is set to be broadcast live on ABC, a network Trump has frequently criticized, on Tuesday, September 10th, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Harris is demanding a seated format and permission to use a “cheat-sheet” during the live debate—an unprecedented move that Trump’s campaign has swiftly condemned. This, they argue, is yet another example of Harris’s reluctance to face tough questions and her inability to handle the pressure of live debates.

“Race and gender” are key criteria in Vice President Kamala Harris’s selection of a media personality to host her first sit down interview since joining the presidential race, a report Monday in Politico Playbook revealed. The criteria spotlights the close-mindedness of Harris’s world view, as she attempts to rally support from rural white voters in swing states. The demographic is key to winning the 2024 presidential election, political experts believe. Harris will purportedly sit for an interview this week as part of her campaign’s ramped-up strategy heading into the post-Labor Day push, Axios reported, but questions remain about who she will select to host the interview.
