Is this exhausting, over-long Dem convention
convincing any voters?

If a person was forced to pick one word to describe the third night of the Democratic National Committee it would probably be “exhausting.”
It was nearly 11 pm, three hours into the prime-time portion of the day, when our monotonous Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg finally hit the DNC stage. Now, I’m not a professional political advisor, but one highly doubts that voters — most of whom would be waking up for work on Thursday – were clamoring to hear from the bungling head of the least important bureaucracy in the country.
Mayor Pete had just followed the governor of Maryland,

Mark Steyn has decried the merging of party (Democrats, obvs) and state.
Now we can decry the merging of party, state and entertainment/celebrity culture. This is all very pre-French Revolution with the 'elites' (many of them self-appointed) taking their turns to lecture and look down on us.
I'm trying and failing to imagine the sort of weak, insecure, desperate person who would listen to any of this to say nothing of believing any of it. It is hilarious to hear these hypocrites constantly tell audiences that the audiences should do with less and less - and the audiences applaus.

One would think not but when you hear some of the reporters talking to random people on the street, the cluelessness and surprise in the blank looks on their faces makes one hope that there are more of us than them. Leftists who vote for democrats are the dregs of society. Celebrities who look down upon the rest of us are nothing but better-looking lunatics.

Did Oprah use her speech to castigate herself for being a Billionaire who is not paying their fair share and pledge to pay 25% of her net worth to the government so Kamala can waste it?

No, but it gives the networks something to fill airtime, instead of Seinfeld reruns.

I had the TV on but it was muted while I was reading a book. I did notice that Okra was wearing a pretty purple dress and for a long time was obviously giving someone 'what for' because her arms in motion looked like she was leading an orchestra. How can the attendees be so excited to listen to these nimrods rain Hell on Donald Trump? Did no one point out to them what his four years were like compared to Old Yeller's? I can see the difference myself.

I watched a few clips from the news. I cannot imagine sitting through the whole thing. I guess some hard core Dems did to watch the speakers since they agreed with them but, jeepers, I have better things to do. To be honest, I watched only a little of the Republican Convention. I don't like to listen to speeches by any politician even one I like anymore. The last one I could bear was Reagan. The same with videos people post. I just scroll by them and I suspect that I am not the only one.

No point in watching any of it. So I didn't. Was surprised to find out it was a three day Loon Fest, and I ain't talking about the bird. The Enemedia day in and day out is just as bad or worse than this **** show, but don't watch any of them either. Haven't in decades.

A cameo appearance by Senator Claymore was sadly absent.

#7 I totally agree. Ronald Reagan was the last president that I could bear to listen to through a whole speech. I hate to give kudos to a never-Trumper, but Reagan's speech writer, Peggy Noonan, was masterful. I wish Trump would get a speech writer and then stick to the script. His messages would be shorter, clearer, and more inspiring. His vocabulary could definitely be improved with synonyms for "very bad", "perfect" , "the best".

Convincing, I haven't watched one minute of that communist propaganda. I read about what was said and by whom and to me the convention should have been held in Moscow.

I don't see what any of this spectacle has to do with being president. Russia is now moving troops out of Kaliningrad to the Kursk region. There could be a bloody battle soon. How would Kamel-La react to any of it?
