In the wake of a recent court decision that found Google guilty of illegally monopolizing the online search market, the DOJ is weighing options to restore competition, including a potential breakup of the tech giant.
Bloomberg reports that the DOJ is deliberating on the possibility of breaking up Google following a landmark court ruling that found the company guilty of illegally monopolizing the online search and search text advertising markets. This marks the first time since the unsuccessful efforts to break up Microsoft two decades ago that Washington has considered dismantling a company for illegal monopolization.

Hunter Biden sought the State Department’s help for a Ukrainian energy company while President Joe Biden was vice president, according to the New York Times, which obtained the information from the agency via a FIOA request dating back to 2021.
The release of the document is significant for three reasons. First, the agency released the document after Joe Biden announced he would not seek reelection, underscoring concerns among Republicans that the Biden administration covered up Hunter’s foreign business dealings that enriched the Biden family while Joe Biden was vice president.

A homeless woman who was allegedly raped at knifepoint by an illegal migrant in New York City revealed how her attacker taunted her during the brutal attack.
David Davon-Bonilla, 24, from Nicaragua, allegedly approached the 46-year-old homeless woman around 9 pm on Sunday near the Coney Island boardwalk in Brooklyn.
Bonilla is said to have offered her food and coffee in exchange for sex, and when she refused, he grabbed her, threw her to the ground, and raped her while holding a knife to her throat.
Meanwhile, his companion, Leovando Moreno, 37, from Mexico, attacked the woman’s boyfriend, Ray Ramsammy, 34, with a metal pipe

Is anyone awake at Google? Kamala Harris’ team has been tinkering with the search results, editing ads from major publications to make it seem like major outlets are supporting the vice president’s campaign. It’s another example of bias we’re used to, though not deployed in such a brazen and craven way. This event serves as another reminder that the Democrat media complex exists, and it’s working to stifle the will of the people. The other question is if this operation was confident in the vice president’s abilities, why are they tilting the scales like this? For all the talk about misinformation and fake news, the Left remains the main manufacturer

Former President Donald Trump spoke about how “a lot of people” do not have the funds to be able to afford “a whole cart” of groceries.
“We’ve got to get the prices down,” Trump told Elon during a live interview on X. “You know, when I look at bacon costing four or five times more than it did a few years ago. When you look at some of the food products in grocery stores, people know — they can’t believe it. They used to be able to buy a whole cart, and today, a lot of people just don’t have the money. They go in and they can’t buy anything.”

Kamala Harris sure seems desperate to avoid questions from the media.
Peter Doocy of FOX News reported tonight that Harris ditched her traveling press pool to attend an event at Howard University.
It’s amazing that most of the media just puts up with her behavior because they don’t want to say or do anything that might threaten her candidacy.
From Twitter/X: NEW: Peter Doocy reveals that Vice President Kamala Harris ditched her press pool to avoid speaking to the media. “Vice President Harris is supposed to travel everywhere she goes with a press pool. We just learned that she left her press pool behind to attend an event at Howard University.”

How do voters know the prestige press is hopelessly partisan? For three weeks, Kamala Harris has been refusing all requests for interviews or press conferences, and that goes unpunished. Donald Trump held a press conference, and he was absolutely punished.
Taxpayer-funded National Public Radio demonstrated their ultraliberal tilt for the millionth time -- at least that's how it feels. NPR political director Domenico Montanaro organized a team to pore over Trump's Aug. 8 press conference transcript and "found at least 162 misstatements, exaggerations and outright lies in 64 minutes. That's more than two a minute.

Former President Donald Trump is more popular in August 2024, than he was in August of 2016 and 2020, CNN analyst Harry Enten revealed Tuesday.
The findings suggest Trump has a significant chance to complete the greatest comeback story in modern American politics, despite Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent surge in the polls.
Trump’s favorability rating compared to the last two election cycles:
August, 2024: 44 percent
August, 2020: 41 percent
August, 2016: 33 percent
“The bottom line is Kamal Harris is doing better in the polls but there is a long way to go,” Enten said. “The polls can shift”

LOS ANGELES, California — Anti-Israel radicals blocked L.A.’s 405 freeway, the country’s busiest, on Tuesday morning to demand an end to U.S. support for Israel, as Israel battles Hamas terrorists who still hold 115 innocent hostages.
The Los Angeles Daily News reported:
A group of protesters calling for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war and an end to U.S. military support of Israel marched onto the southbound 405 Freeway in West Los Angeles Tuesday, halting traffic and creating a miles-long backup at the tail end of the morning rush hour.
The protesters, organized in part by the group IfNotNow Los Angeles, walked onto the freeway

Just when you think California didn't have enough foot left to shoot, it pulls out a gun and does it again. This time it involves the initial step toward California nationalizing the gasoline refinery industry. The California Energy Commission (CEC) has proposed several government regulations of the petroleum industry in order to combat future gasoline price surges. CEC regulators announced proposed government controls of the petroleum industry, ostensibly to combat future gasoline price surges. CEC's proposed fiasco is unbelievable since it has a clear vision of the ultimate outcome: Venezuela.
The CEC announcement comes as Chevron, one of the largest oil companies in the U.S., announced that it will relocate

First son Hunter Biden, acting on behalf of a Ukrainian energy company, requested help from the US Embassy in Rome to land a lucrative business deal, while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president, according to a report.
Hunter’s big ask and apparent attempt to use his father’s position of power to land the deal for Bursima — the Ukrainian gas giant that he sat on the board for — came to light only after State Department records were released to the New York Times after Joe Biden ended his 2024 re-election bid last month.
