Details emerge about Trump shooter Thomas
Crooks' sister

The sister of the man who opened fire on former President Trump on Saturday is a "hardworking" woman with two jobs, according to a report. A neighbor of Katie Crooks said she moved out of her family home three years ago into an apartment – and that her now notorious brother helped her transfer her belongings. "The person who helped her, I couldn’t tell if it was a male or a female," the neighbor told the New York Post. "A couple of days later, I asked if it was one of her siblings and she said it was her brother. The one who shot Trump… He was real scrawny."

Watch your phone and social media accounts, Katie. Strange incriminating texts and entries may start appearing from sources unknown.

The more I read, and the more the 'official' stories shift and change, I am convinced Crooks was nothing more than a set-up patsy - A modern Lee Harvey Oswald. 1. Acquaintances say he was a terrible shot. Banned from local rifle club. 2. He buys a ladder, 50 rounds of ammo, and somehow carries a gun into one of the 'supposedly' most secure locations in Pennsylvania, climbs to the roof, and no one tried to stop him? 3. He is given more than sufficient time to get to, and aim from hhis shooting position 4. Secret Service observe him setting up, yet do not drop him before shooting, or remove Trump to safety. 5. Trump twists to look at a visual aid and turns his head just enough for the kill shot to notch his ear instead of taking out the base of his skull. 6. Secret service divests Trump of his shoes, making escape slower less secure. 7. SS agents on scene seem clumsy. Some reports say most are 3rd string or even probationary agents substituted for regular force due to overwork. I can go on and on. JFK, Bobby Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and perhaps many others were government ops - or should I say, Deep State Ops. Trump almost joined them.

If I were the sister, I'd change my last name and move to another town several states away from Bethel Park, PA. Same for the parents, but I suppose they have to stay and be available to law enforcement.

Yes, that she was working two jobs, a janitor and a waitress to make ends meet. That's Joe's fine economy. Under Trump she has a better chance to get one job that will pay the bills and not have to work two.

#2, the movie "JFK" perpetuated the canard that Oswald was a poor shot. He scored a "sharpshooter" classification in the Marines. Gerald Posner has a quote in his book: "among Marines, Oswald was considered a good shot. Compared to the average American male he was an excellent shot." Also, while it's true that Crooks was rejected from the high school shooting team, he was a member of a shooting range where he practiced regularly, so he probably improved his shooting skills considerably since high school.

Former President Donald Trump formally accepts the 2024 Republican presidential nomination in a speech at the Republican National Convention. FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for others. This is the spirit that forged America in her darkest hours, and this is the love that will lead America back to the summit of human achievement and greatness. This is what we need. Despite such a heinous attack, we unite this evening more determined than ever. I am more determined than ever, and so are you. So is everybody in this room.

JESSE WATTERS: His first since dodging an assassin's bullet, or as he's calling it, the greatest earache he's ever had. And as the details keep dripping out, we have more questions. Tonight, we're learning that the gunman was on law enforcement's radar for three hours, and the Secret Service designated Crooks a threat 10 minutes before Trump took the stage. And the Secret Service never said, Mr. President, don't go out there. They let Trump take the stage anyway. And eight minutes later, he was shot.

MILWAUKEE — Oh, they’re friends again. It was reconciliation night Tuesday, day two of the Republican National Convention. Many of the GOP rivals that former President Donald Trump has mercilessly beaten in two Republican Party primaries took to the convention stage to tell American voters why they now love Trump. Or at least can plug their nostrils long enough to vote for the GOP nominee — in the case of Trump’s former United Nations Ambassador and defense industry darling Nikki Haley.

Republicans always seem to come home. Some sooner than others. Vivek Ramaswamy never really ran against him. Ron DeSantis threw his weight behind him within an hour of dropping out of the primary. But Nikki Haley, the last woman standing, she took her time. The endorsement took three full months to arrive. Donald Trump didn’t mind. The former president did not need her support to lock down a third consecutive nomination. He may not need it to return to the White House either. But as Haley walked onstage at the Republican National Convention Tuesday, Trump beamed. He listened with a bandaged ear from a box overlooking the arena

Donald Trump’s announcement that Ohio Sen. JD Vance is his vice-presidential pick was music to my ears. I’ve known Vance for more than a decade and can attest to his smarts, his seriousness and his undying devotion to America and its working class. He is an ideal pick for Trump and one that presages the transformation of the Republican Party into a true, multi-ethnic working-class coalition. I met JD at a political seminar in 2015. We quickly bonded over our shared interest in using public policy to help the country’s struggling working-class voters. In this pre-Trump age, that was not a popular position within the GOP. But that didn’t matter to

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley made her highly anticipated appearance at the Republican Convention, taking the stage to a mixture of cheers and boos from those in attendance. Haley, who was former President Donald Trump’s fiercest primary rival, gave the former president her "strong endorsement" during the appearance in Milwaukee, ending months of speculation on if she would throw her weight behind her former rival. But the initial reaction to Haley’s arrival stood in stark contrast to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Trump’s chief primary rival during the 2016 campaign, who received a standing ovation from those in the crowd, including Trump themselves.

The White House is now faced with a conundrum — how to make the case against Donald Trump as a quasi-Nazi while lowering the proverbial temperature after his near-assassination? Joe Biden’s Oval Office address calling for toning down the overheated rhetoric in our politics was fine as far as it went, except it included no mea culpa, no assurance that he’ll try to do better himself, no recognition that his political and media allies have been the worst offenders. Over-the-top attacks on Trump haven’t been incidental to the Democratic 2024 campaign, but central to it.

And uniting our nation.” In the wake of the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump on Saturday, our nation has never been less cohesive or more divided and bitter. Much of that fracture is solely because of Mr. Biden and his unrelenting attacks on Mr. Trump and his MAGA supporters — a whopping 74 million Americans to judge by the 2020 election returns. “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” Mr. Biden said

Donald Trump may well have sealed the outcome of the 2024 election with a performance on Thursday night in Milwaukee that has largely been unmatched in recent American political history. The former president eschewed the polarization and division that has marked much of his rhetoric in the past. In his speech officially accepting the Republican Party's nomination there were only a couple of references to the 2020 election. Trump was able to hit on key messages when speaking about topics like inflation, and especially immigration, in ways that were compelling and arguably responsive to the fundamental concerns of Americans. For the first time, researchers have voted to eliminate scientific names of organisms because they are offensive. Botanists decided that more than 200 plants, fungi and algae species names should no longer contain a racial slur related to the word caffra, which is used against Black people and others mostly in southern Africa. The changes voted on today at the International Botanical Congress in Madrid mean that plants such as the coast coral tree will, from 2026, be formally called Erythrina affra, instead of Erythrina caffra.
