Who Should Trump Pick As His Running Mate?
GOP Voters Strongly Back Scott, Rubio

The Democrats’ recent panic over President Joe Biden’s apparent mental infirmities underscores the importance of the vice presidential pick. In the case of former President Donald Trump, who will only be able to serve one term if re-elected, the choice is just as important if not more so. A handful of favorites has emerged, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. In the past two months, the I&I/TIPP Poll has queried voters about a long list of 22 possible choices for Trump. However, in recent days, that list has shrunk markedly. Trump campaign insiders, Republican Party officials and those close to Trump

It's name recognition. People prefer those whose names they know. I don't want to lose my FL Governor, and while I like Carson, I don't see him as the right man. Overall, I cringe at a Senator in the position, as they've done nothing but disappoint me. I prefer a governor who, presumably, has executive experience. I'll have to trust Trump on this.

Is this poll a true reflection of the American public? I have my doubts. For example, no mention of Vance or Bergum. Not that I truly favor either of them. I would prefer Rick Scott or Rand Paul over Marco Rubio or Tim Scott. I think both have more accomplishments, and I don't play identity politics. Neither resonate though. The only other governor is DeSantis, but he waits until 2028. He doesn't resonate either. I would consider any outsider. Both Carson and Ramaswamy come to mind but neither truly resonate. Only other name is Nikki Haley, but she is a definite 'no'. I would put Kristi Noem over Haley, but she does not resonate either. Since I can't find a real favorite, I'll be content with whomever Trump picks.

Judging by this Poll, NOBODY has a Good Pick. I would say Rubio has the most experience (Trump could just make one of his Golf Clubs his new Primary Residence. People from NY do it all the time here in FL to get away from the horrible Taxes in NY). J.D. has the best chance of winning in 2028 and DeSantis would be the best President in 2028. So, we all have our reasons for picking the VP and my guess is Trump will pick someone who hasn't even been mentioned! Stay tuned!

NOT Burgum. He's a globalist who pals around with Bill Gates. Gates donated $100,000 to Burgum’s gubernatorial campaign in 2016. was able to bypass state laws and swallow up 2,100 acres of prime farm land. Burgum vetoed legislation that would have banned transgender athletes from competing in sporting events outside of their birth gender. He vetoed legislation that would have banned the use of transgender pronouns by public school officials. He vetoed school choice legislation. He wants to make North Dakota “carbon neutral” by 2030.

I will go with anybody Trump picks, of course, but as a practical if not cynical choice, I prefer Scott or Rubio for the demographic edge. The main thrust should be to win. The Dems probably realize they are going to need massive voter fraud to win this time and, hopefully, the GOP knows they have to go all out to at least slow it down if not stop it entirely. It won't be easy. The Dems are now signing up illegals to vote and Lord knows what other criminal tricks are up their sleeves. More cooked up lawfare indictments..."Show me the Man" etc a la Beria. Nothing is beyond them in their unbridled lust for power. The graft money is nice but it's just a side benefit for the power to force us into thinking the proper thoughts and doing what they say.

I wouldn't mind if its someone not necessarily 'next in line'. It will be difficult to prep for a campaign in 2028 while busy within Trump's 2nd term. The VP should be someone who can take over the Presidency on a moment's notice. That's what is most important.

Recall when electric vehicles were our future, the next generation of automobiles that were going to save us? It’s been a fairly tale from the beginning, as people are beginning to see. About six weeks ago, President Joe Biden bragged during a Rose Garden event that “thanks to my bipartisan Infrastructure Law, we’re building a network of 500,000 charging stations all across America.” At that moment, only seven stations had been built – three years after the bill was passed. The lack of progress cannot be explained away by the challenges faced by any infrastructure buildout, though Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg

The talking points must have gone out within minutes of the end of President Joe Biden’s lame debate performance. Did the economy create 206,000 jobs last month? That’s what the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on Friday. But don’t believe it. Under President Joe Biden, the BLS has been consistently inflating monthly job growth numbers. It makes great public relations, because the press reports only on the initial estimate, and rarely follows up on the subsequent downgrades. But it does help explain why nobody believes Biden’s – and the mainstream media’s – propaganda about how great the labor market is doing. Last month, for example, BLS said that the economy created 272,000 jobs, which the media branded as “whopping,”

Prior to hosting a hugely successful Republican fundraiser on Monday night — bringing in $1.4 million — Melania strode through Manhattan in a sleeveless, figure-hugging red Valentino sheath and six-inch Louboutin heels. She was alone. But she looked undeniably happy. For a woman who communicates primarily through clothing, Melania projected many things at once: Strength, defiance, fiery determination, and an allegiance to her husband's candidacy. This, despite not having been seen with the former president since their son, Barron, graduated from high school in May.

President Biden drew gasps Thursday evening when he referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “President Putin” — confusing him with the Russian tyrant whose forces have invaded Ukraine for the past two-and-a-half years. Biden quickly apologized for the embarrassing flub, saying it happened because he was “so focused on beating” the Kremlin strongman. However, the mistake is likely to accelerate calls among congressional Democrats for the 81-year-old to end his bid for a second term.

Joe Biden's "big boy" press conference is in the books, and it did not go well. As RedState reported, the president showed up with a pre-selected list of reporters to call on, a fact that he announced before taking questions. During the first question, the president then called Donald Trump his vice president, confusing his political opponent with Kamala Harris. From there, he's been rambling and filibustering, attempting to burn enough time so his staff can claim he held his own. The truth is, this was a disaster.

The liberal Daily Show recently featured a focus group of six black voters and the correspondent leading the group was stunned to find out that half of them are planning to vote for Trump in November. Trump did extremely well with minority voters in 2020 and is expected to do much better in 2024. This is giving Democrats panic attacks and it should. The American electorate is shifting. (Snip) “The Daily Show” correspondent Josh Johnson in a Tuesday segment expressed surprise that a panel of black tri-state area voters was evenly divided between supporting former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden.

Along with the discoveries and sudden revelations of President Joe Biden's cognitive issues — a fact that alternative and right-leaning media has been reporting for years — Biden's overt racism has been given a fresh look. In a post-July 4th campaign stop on Sunday, a young Black girl waits patiently on the rope line for President Biden to greet her and take a selfie. After glad handing the white man standing next to her, Biden treats the young girl like she's invisible and immediately goes to the elderly white woman standing on the other side of her. Talk about rude. (X) I was this many years old

One unfortunate feature of national political campaigns over the last quarter-century has been the "base turnout" model. Rather than try to modulate the message and agenda to appeal to the center, both of the major parties have focused instead on energizing their base. Barack Obama may have been the exception in this century, about which I wrote in my book Going Red, but even that was only in his first presidential election. By 2012, Obama had to rely on his base and his considerable personal approval to skate by in a close re-election effort. Donald Trump also relied on a base-turnout model in both of his presidential elections, as did
