A public school employee in Florida is facing firing because she allowed her “transgender daughter” to play on the girls’ volleyball team at their high school. This week, she issued remarks where she doubled down on her decision.
The mother, Jessica Norton, reportedly gave the remarks to the Broward School Board on Tuesday. Norton worked at Monarch High School in Fort Lauderdale, where her son who thinks he’s a girl attends school.
According to several reports, an anonymous tipster notified a school board member last year that the 16-year-old was playing on the girls’ varsity volleyball team, a violation of state law. The tip led to an investigation that

Most of us have seen video of a female high school volleyball player being permanently injured after having the ball spiked into her face by a male identifying as female. If men masquerading as women get their feelings hurt when they're denied admission to the athletic field, that's good. Maybe they'll realize that they were wrong, are morally way off base, and must change, or be known as nuts. Mother Jessica Norton has a son, not a daughter, at least not this one. Quoth the mother: “I saw the light in my daughter's eyes gleam with future plans of organizing and attending prom ...." Prom?? What red-blooded American high school senior boy wants a fake woman for a prom date? Ewwwwwww. Does the sanitaruim have reduced rates for mother-son joint admissions?

Parents that encourage or allow that thing should be arrested and prosecuted for child abuse...I'm sure she encouraged his actions...I'm still a firm believer in the fact if you don't know what you are, stick your hand in your underwear to find out....

FTA: “I saw the light in my daughter's eyes gleam with future plans of organizing and attending prom, participating in and leading senior class traditions, speaking at graduation and going off to college with the confidence and joy that any student like her would after a successful and encouraging high school experience."
He was taken off the volleyball team. He can still go to the prom in a gown, participate in senior class activities, speak at graduation (if chosen), and go to college all as a pretend girl. No one is stopping him from doing anything but scarfing up trophies in girls' competitions by pretending to be a girl.

Notice that the CBS news story that was featured never showed the male ''daughter'' except old footage of when he was in elementary school and addressing the school board about his ''transition''. There was not one picture of how he looks, now.

Why not just designate schools for transgender persons and let them stay with each other.
Leave normal people alone. Normal people shouldn't have to change for those who are mentally unbalanced or rather buying into the woke tsunami that the left has mandated.
Enough is enough, and BTW Monarch High School is on Wiles Road in Coconut Creek, and comes under the Broward School District.

"District leadership tried to ruin my life, but instead you destroyed a 16-year-old's life,” Norton reportedly said on Tuesday. “They destroyed her high school career and her lifelong memories.”
That ship sailed when you allowed your son to think he was a girl, sweetheart.

It's boy. This lady has spent years destroying her son's future as a man.
The boy should be taken away for therapy and the mother should be locked up.

Excellent. The "destroyed her memories" crapola is just disgusting. She has a SON, a male of the species, with serious, serious mental problems. Probably caused by having an insane mother.

Brings to mind The Who's 1966 song "I'm a Boy." The song by Pete Townshend, which reached #2 in Great Britain, was to have been in a rock opera entitled Quads, [from Wiki] "which was to be set in a future in which parents can choose the sex of their children." Quads was quite ahead of its time, and only this song survived from that abortive project. The mother in the song has three daughters and wants a fourth, but had Bill instead. " ... My name is Bill and I'm a head case. They practice making up on my face. Yeah, I feel lucky if I get trousers to wear. Spend evenings taking hairpins from my hair." The refrain went: "I'm a boy, I'm a boy, but my Ma won't admit it." Bill in the song was sane while his mother was insane. Both Jessica Norton and her son are cuckoos without the clock. It's healthiest NOT to put up with nonsense, not to play stupid games.

The article mentions the kid’s “family” but doesn’t specify a father and all of the comments come from the mother. I have a feeling that this kid would not be the mess that he is if there had been a father in his home.

Sorry, but too bad. In a constitutional republic laws are created for a majority of the people, their freedoms, and relief from onerous government and criminal trespass. Laws are not made to protect anything as precious as, “personal truth,” whatever THAT is, but for the greatest good for the greatest number. One may be desperately sorry for this confused youngster, but statute is not the place to apply a boutique personal solution to a societal problem equivalent to the Tulip Craze. The Information Age and mass media have made everybody profoundly stupid yet equivalently preening of themselves. It’s idiocy.

Re #14: After looking at the video of the parents of the boy who thinks he's a girl, I don't know what that round thing in the father's ear lobe is, but if a son can identify as a daughter, why can't Mr. Norton, who is white, identify as Masai, and stretch his lobes out until he can wear a plate in each lobe? What this tells us is that both Mr. and Mrs. Norton are to blame for their son's screwheadedness.
Also, I join #13 in support of our friend. Keep on keeping on, earlybird.
