Sen. John Fetterman’s unsafe driving habits are so alarming that some of his staffers are afraid to get in a car with him when he’s behind the wheel, according to a report. The Pennsylvania Democrat was cited for extreme speeding at least twice before he plowed into the back of a 62-year-old woman’s vehicle on Sunday, an accident that sent him, his wife Gisele and other driver to the hospital, the Washington Post reported on Thursday. Fetterman, 54, has also been known to FaceTime and text while driving, behavior that has prompted his staff to implement “an informal practice” of

He's been known to drive 20-30 MPH over the speed limit - wile fiddling with his cell phone.

From the article: "Fetterman pleaded guilty in March to driving 34 mph over the speed limit in Westmoreland County, near Pittsburgh, the Washington Post found." "His violation in that case was so severe that it required him to attend Driver Improvement School." "The senator’s Chevrolet Traverse was traveling “at a high rate of speed, well over the posted speed limit” of 70 mph in the moments before he rear-ended the other driver’s Chevrolet Impala, a witness told authorities." "Fetterman’s aides don’t dare send him messages when they know he’s driving because they worry he will try to respond, other sources familiar told the outlet." Drumroll, please........... "A spokesperson for Fetterman told The Washington Post that accounts about his driving habits are “gossip and inaccurate.”

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Republican state Sen. Michael Rulli won a special election Tuesday in eastern Ohio for a U.S. House seat that has sat vacant for months, expanding the GOP’s narrow majority in the congressional chamber. Rulli, 55, defeated Democrat Michael Kripchak to fill the remainder of Republican Bill Johnson’s unexpired term. The two face off again Nov. 5 for a full two-year congressional term that begins in January. Rulli’s victory by roughly 10 percentage points was much closer than earlier GOP performances in Ohio’s 6th District. Johnson won his last four elections by more than 30 percentage points. Trump

Costco will no longer offer books for sale year-round and will instead stock them only for the holiday shopping period and during special promotions, according to a report — a surprise move that poses yet another threat to the publishing industry. Several publishing executives who were informed of the retailer’s plans told The New York Times that Costco will cease offering books for sale on a consistent basis starting in January. The decision was met with criticism on Reddit, where users vented that the decision was akin to “cancelling the hot dog in the food court” — a reference to

Republican businessman Tim Sheehy won the GOP primary for Senate in Montana, Decision Desk HQ projects, as he looks to flip Democrat Sen. Jon Tester’s seat in the red state. Tester’s seat is seen as key to Republicans’ hopes of winning the Senate majority this fall. Former President Trump and Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.), who is chairing the Senate Republican campaign team, have both thrown their weight behind ex-NAVY Seal and political newcomer Sheehy. He came under scrutiny this spring over a gunshot wound after the Washington Post highlighted inconsistent accounts of the incident that caused it. Sheehy avoided a

The U.S. House of Representatives has recently passed an amendment as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025. The amendment H.R. 8070 will automatically register all draft-age male U.S. residents with the Selective Service System for a possible military draft, based on information from other Federal databases. This new system of automatic draft registration would replace the existing system, in place since 1980, in which young men have the freedom to decide whether or not to sign up for the draft. According to People’s World, the automatic draft registration proposal was initiated by the Selective Service System (SSS) as part of its annual budget request to Congress.

Nancy Pelosi is losing it. The former Democrat Speaker of the House is the walking personification of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Her hatred for the former (and likely next) president burns white-hot, as evidenced by her petulant, childish, immature, and unbecoming incident in which she tore up her copy of President Trump's 2020 State of the Union speech. Now, she's just becoming pathetic, as we see in her recent interview with MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell, where she begged the Trump family and the GOP to "stage an intervention" to prevent Trump from running. Democrats plan to disrupt Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to a special joint session of Congress on July 24 in an unprecedented show of hostility to the democratically-elected leader of a close American ally. 56 Democrats boycotted Netanyahu’s speech in 2015, when Republicans invited him to argue against then-President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran. This time, Axios reports, “Democrats plan to go bigger than a boycott”: The proposals include a press conference, a vigil, or an event with families of those taken hostage by Hamas, many of whom feel Netanyahu hasn’t done enough to free their loved ones. In a sign of how extensive and high-level some of these discussions are,

We've seen him wandering and people having to help redirect him back to where he was supposed to be going. We've seen him giving garbled answers and snapping at a reporter because the reporter dared to ask him a question at his presser that wasn't about Ukraine. That managed to get a reaction out of the White House Correspondents Association. They threw Biden under the bus in their statement, saying there were no "deals" as he claimed.
