The Justice Department said Friday it will not prosecute Merrick Garland on contempt-of-Congress charges, two days after House Republicans voted to hold the attorney general in contempt for refusing to turn over the audio from President Joe Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur.
The DOJ said Friday the refusal to provide the audio did not amount to a crime.
House lawmakers voted 216–207 on the Garland contempt resolution on Wednesday, with one Republican representative, Dave Joyce of Ohio, joining Democrats in voting against it. Eight members did not vote on the measure.

How is it not election interference to withhold the audio of the interview from the public? The interviewer himself characterized Biden as an elderly man with a poor memory. There's no substitute for hearing for ourselves just how clearly Biden spoke and how coherent he was or was not. This is all about protecting Democrats, because they knew even when Biden was nominated that he was fading fast.

So does that mean that the only justice is vigilante justice? If the legal system won't address the crime...who will? This seems to be where we are headed... Certain people are considered to be above the law. This cannot continue.

How easy would it be to use AI -- Biden's voice, same text they already have, embellished with pauses, stumbles, stutters, mispronunciations, etc., to come up with a near-perfect audio version of the interview?

The swamp critters used to at least pretend to be holding one another accountable; but here they exchange a sloppy kiss in the open. Probably even included some tongue play.
I bet some suckers thought the swampy inveigle ended with Lisa Page and Peter Strzok...

I fully expected Gestapo Garland to prosecute himself. What is there left to believe in?

The DOJ might as well put out a statement that Pedo Joe is riddled with dementia and incontinence. By hiding the tapes and refusing to turn them over, they are screaming from the rooftops that Pedo Joe is almost completely gone. Refusing to prosecute Garland just makes it inarguable.

Here is a question for our department of just us:
Do we citizens get to decide which laws and subpoenas we are going to obey and which we will ignore? If we ignore subpoenas will justice and Merrick Garland be okay with that? What if we are not Democrats, cab we still ignore? A friend wants to know.

Since Congressional subpoenas apparently have no force of law, shouldn't Navarro be released from prison immediately and Steve Bannon be excused from reporting to prison in July? If refusing a Congressional Subpoena is not a crime, why do they have to go to jail for refusing to comply with it and Garland is scot free? The DOJ and Garland should order them released from their prison sentences immediately just to show that Garland is not being political in his refusal to respond to the subpoena.

Hire an actor to impersonate old Joe He can bumble mumble and go on a tangent while reading the transcript. Make them deny that this the real thing. They will have to put up or shut up.

Speaker Johnson should hire a hacker to find and download the audio file and post it on social media.
