Multiple tornadoes caused extensive damage in Iowa on Tuesday during severe weather that storm trackers across the region captured live on video. Reports of tornadoes and damage started coming in Tuesday afternoon while a "Particularly Dangerous Situation" Tornado Watch was underway for parts of the Midwest. At least four tornadoes were seen in western and central parts of the Hawkeye State, including by FOX Weather storm chasers. Storm chaser Brandon Copic's cameras started recording a massive tornado that developed in western Iowa. "It's definitely a multi-vortex tornado in progress," Copic told FOX Weather Meteorologist Ian Oliver. Meanwhile, in Corning, Iowa

Some of Brandon's reliable windmills crash and burn whilst those evil coal, gas, and nuclear power plants soldier on keeping the lights on

Windmills can't handle high wind and EVs are allergic to cold and water. Who would have guessed that green stuff is so fragile?

This 'Green Energy' plan has NO plans for disposing/recycling old and worn parts of windmills or solar panels. Neither are there financial plans to replace them at costs much higher due to inflation. And these contraptions are supposed replace oil/gas or nuclear power. Good grief!

Wind turbines, the poster child of green energy. Unreliable, easily destroyed, bird-killing, unsightly, and non-recyclable. Their only benefit is lining the right people's pockets.

I used to work at a facility that could experience hurricane-force winds on occasion. There were some experimental wind turbines nearby (we could see them from the parking lot). Whenever the winds got high, the turbines were shut down. What good is a wind turbine that can't handle high winds?

Americans already contending with persistent and stubbornly high inflation just got more unwelcome news on Tuesday: There are more price hikes likely coming down the pike. Wholesale inflation picked up in April to its highest rate in a year, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data released Tuesday. WASHINGTON — Vice President Kamala Harris used a profanity on Monday while offering advice to young Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders about how to break through barriers. (Snip) Harris gave a lengthy response in which she told the young people to keep their chins up when they go into spaces where no one else looks like them. She added: “We have to know that sometimes people will open the door for you and leave it open. Sometimes they won’t. And then you need to kick that f——— door down.” The audience clapped and hollered. Laughing herself, Harris said

Minnesota raised its new state flag over its capitol on Saturday. The flag was unfurled on the state's "Statehood Day" holiday and features a stylized outline of the state, an eight-pointed star and a field of light blue. The unveiling is the culmination of a competition to redesign the flag and state seal to replace one that showed native peoples being driven off their land. The final design for the flag was modified from a submission by Andrew Prekker. "The new flag and seal reflect all Minnesotans and showcase the features of our state that we can all recognize – the

National Democrats are deep into the planning for the convention in Chicago to be held in August. Biden's planning team is looking wistfully at the 2020 COVID convention when most events were virtual and the chances for disruption were greatly reduced. They are looking for ways to duplicate some of those events, like the pre-recorded roll call vote where individuals representing state delegations got creative and made their video vote an advertisement for their state. One big change being considered is a move to an alternate convention site for the actual nomination. Since Biden is having trouble getting on the

American men are opting out of the workforce at unforeseen rates. For many, it's not an issue of not being able to find a job. They have simply opted out altogether. The Bureau of Labor Statistics found only 89 percent of working age men have a job or are actively looking for work. In 1950, that number was at 97 percent. While the early 1950s saw around 96 percent of working age American men between the ages of 25 and 54 working full or part-time jobs, that proportion has now moved to just 86 percent, according to the Bureau of

The Pentagon said Tuesday that it believes none of the hundreds of tons of aid delivered over several days via a military-built pier in Gaza has made it to Palestinians. The pier, erected by the U.S. Army to ease the humanitarian crisis amid the Israel-Hamas war, was secured to the Gaza shoreline Thursday, and trucks began dropping off pallets of food ashore on Friday. But the United Nations reported difficulties moving the aid once it reached the shore, including an apparent ambush that reportedly turned deadly. Pentagon spokesman Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder told reporters Tuesday that more than 569 metric tons of aid had been delivered to Gaza via the pier,

TEL AVIV, Israel — Norway, Ireland and Spain said Wednesday they would recognize a Palestinian state, a historic but largely symbolic move that further deepens Israel’s isolation more than seven months into its grinding war against Hamas in Gaza. Israel denounced the decisions and recalled its ambassadors to the three countries. Palestinian officials welcomed the announcements as an affirmation of their decades-long quest for statehood in east Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip — territories Israel seized in the 1967 Mideast war and still controls.
