A new congressional report has uncovered disturbing details about a research project conducted at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), led by Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Daily Mail reported.
The investigation, spanning over 18 months, revealed a pattern of obstruction and misinformation by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the NIH, and NIAID regarding the transfer of genes between different strains of the Monkeypox virus. (Snip) According to the report, spearheaded by the Republican members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, NIAID scientists were found to have transferred genes between different clades of the Monkeypox virus, potentially enhancing its lethality and transmissibility.

By now, all of America is aware that Hunter Biden was found guilty on Tuesday by a jury of his peers on the three federal felony charges he faced, including lying to a federally licensed firearms dealer and illegally possessing a firearm while on narcotics.
Yeah, so what comes next?
Joe Biden's wayward son faces a maximum of 25 years in prison, but the federal sentencing guideline for illegally possessing a firearm, Hunter's most serious offense, is 15-21 months, although most offenders get less time. Moreover, as a first-time offender convicted of a non-violent (gun crime) crime, he could also avoid jail time altogether.

I'm going to address a topic that I've danced around in some of my posts over the past couple of months, but now I feel it's just time to come straight out and ask the question directly because I feel the writing is definitely on the wall. I don't think that rational, well-meaning people can continue to ignore the evidence of the stories that we have seen since January 20th, 2021 when Joe Biden assumed the office of the presidency.
That simple question is this: When do you, the reader, expect a terrorist incident to occur this year — before the November election or after?

No, lawfare and the efforts targeting former President Donald Trump aren't political.
No siree, Bob.
In a pig's eye, they aren't.
As we reported, the New Jersey Attorney General Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control was looking into whether the guilty verdict in Trump's Manhattan trial would "make him ineligible to hold liquor licenses at his three New Jersey golf courses."
"ABC is reviewing the impact of President Trump's conviction on the above referenced licenses, and declines further comment at this time," Attorney General Matthew Platkin's office said to Fox News.
"No license of any class shall be issued to any person under the age of 18 years

Will “Lia” Thomas, the male swimmer who thinks he’s a woman, will not be able to rob women of awards in the Olympics.
In January, Townhall reported how Thomas was engaged in a “secret” legal battle in hopes of overturning a rule established by World Aquatics prohibiting males who think they’re “transgender” from competing against women.
This week, the Associated Press broke that Thomas lost the legal challenge.
Reportedly, the Court of Arbitration for Sport three-judge panel dismissed Thomas’ request or arbitration with the World Aquatics governing body (via AP):
World Aquatics banned transgender women who have been through male puberty from competing in women’s races.

Having laid relatively low in recent weeks, America's pro-terrorism contingent is back with a vengeance -- seemingly energized in opposition to Israel's successful hostage rescue mission over the weekend. Perhaps that timing is a coincidence, but I doubt it. The Hamas mob's political allies and apologists often insist that it's unfair to frame their words, chants and actions as pro-Jew-murder, or even as expressions of anti-Semitism. Well, let's check in on what just happened in New York City, where Hamas supporters protested an exhibit dedicated to the victims of the Nova music festival, where terrorists from Gaza slaughtered hundreds of innocent people.

A favorite parlor game among American political junkies in 2024 is guessing just how and when the Democrats will "help" Joe Biden make a graceful exit from the presidential race. The guy can't walk 10 feet to a podium without committing dozens of mental and physical faux pas along the way, so it isn't a stretch to think that November must seem like a century away to those who have to measure time in Biden years.
Before I launch into this, I will issue my standard Election 2024 disclaimer. I have no special powers of prognostication when it comes to politics here in the Republic;

The good news is that inflation came in a massive 0.1% under consensus expectations, and the bad news is pretty much everything else. Before we get to "pretty much everything else," let's look at the headline numbers that the State Media is using today to assure you that "All is well, comrades."
"The Consumer Price Index (CPI) remained flat over the previous month and rose 3.3% over the prior year in May," Yahoo Finance reported early Wednesday. That's a slight "deceleration from April's 0.3% month-over-month increase and 3.4% annual gain in prices." Both measures beat expectations by that whopping 0.1%.
The official inflation rate is still about 75% higher

Last week, 27 European nations voted for their representatives in the European Parliament.
If you were aware of this, did you happen to notice that there were no allegations of cheating in any European country? If you are on the left, you might respond that there were no such allegations because the right did better than the left, and it's the right that makes these allegations.
But that response has little merit. For one thing, there were no such allegations, let alone demonstrations, during all the years left-wing parties won European Parliamentary elections or national elections. For another, in America, it is not only the right that has charged election fraud:

Famed pollster Nate Silver isn't kidding around anymore. He is now saying Democrats have a real problem on their hands with Joe Biden, and he's admitting something publicly that many on the left have likely only been able to admit in private: Joe Biden should drop out.
"Biden just hit a new all-time low in approval (37.4%) at 538 yesterday," he wrote in a post on X/Twitter on Monday. "Dropping out would be a big risk. But there's some threshold below which continuing to run is a bigger risk. Are we there yet? I don't know. But it's more than fair to ask."

The advantage of being a pessimist is that you are never disappointed; you're only pleasantly surprised now and then. As a pessimist, I reserve the right to remain skeptical that Donald Trump will win reelection. It's not that he can't win; I simply do not want to underestimate the Democrats' raw, naked avarice and ambition.
I have no doubt that they will do everything within their power and then some to ensure the desired outcome at the polls. I am also certain that should there be a Trump victory, popular or electoral, courts across the country will have to clear their dockets to accommodate the avalanche of lawsuits.

A sheriff from Ohio said that he supports the renewal of the death penalty for certain offenses amid a rise in violent crime that he attributes to the porous southern border and Joe Biden’s immigration policy.
Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones told Fox News Digital that he’s “angry” and could go “on and on” about the criminal mayhem that’s been unleashed by “Biden’s border bloodbath” and the cost to taxpayers who are forced to foot the bill for their incarceration.
“People are fed up, and we want something done. And I don’t know that we can stand President Biden being here.
Comments:
I agree, especially with regards to child molesters. And limit their appeals, too. No more sitting on death row for decades!!
