President Biden has blamed politics for his son Hunter’s conviction Tuesday on federal gun charges — ignoring that his offspring’s defense attorneys helped scuttle a sweetheart plea bargain last summer that would have staved off the criminal case.
“If I weren’t running for re-election, he would have gotten the plea deal,” the elder Biden, 81, told one of his cronies earlier this month, according to Politico.
The outlet also reported that the president asked family members for updates on his son’s trial while Joe Biden was in France last week to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
The president changed up his schedule and raced to Delaware Tuesday afternoon following the guilty verdict,

Turley has an interesting take on this: hubris and entitlement gluttony.
Huncher had a plea deal, but it was too sweet and even the judge couldn't swallow it. Perhaps the perps failed to apply enough pressure to the judge.
The evidence was overwhelming. How could anyone but crooks not convict. Did the Dims intentionally fail to pack the jury? Or are there limits to their ability to pick a jury even in Delaware?
Do Big Bidet's handler think a Huncher conviction is good for their cause? I doubt it, whether their cause is to persuade the Bidet to withdraw from the race or to be able to say "see, juries are fair and so was Trump's jury."
It seems more like a Dim train wreck originating in their having picked Crooked Joe. But they've still got ballot harvesting on steroids.

The legal system exercises selective enforcement/political persecution against conservatives and everybody knows it. Hunter Biden expected to get off with a light slap on the wrist, but the judge quashed the sweetheart plea deal. In Weiss’ statement he blatted about how no one is above the law bla bla. The facts are, Weiss allowed the statute of limitations to run out on Hunter’s most serious crimes. He wanted Hunter to walk.

Brandon's no-good crackhead son probably would have gotten a plea agreement if the curroptocrats at DOJ hadn't so badly overreached by trying to give immunity from any and all crimes in perpetuity.

So----Joe is proud of Hunter. Does that mean that Joe is proud that he raised his son to become a womanizing hard drug addict?

Libs never take personal responsiblity for their actions. They blame someone else or something else. Personal responsibility is a concept lost on them.

Correct. And Donald Trump would have never been charged with anything anywhere.

We will know soon enough if we have a two tiered justice system. /S/
Will Hunter get the same sentence as would a person of color for the same offense???

Hunter and the Dept of JustUs' Thug (Lawyer) worked out a sweetheart deal that even a Democrat Judge Tossed in the garbage. That was your Plea Deal Joey, maybe you need to give him a Pardon. DO it NOW so you don't forget! OOPS, too late, Joey's shuffling off to molest more children.

No one in the Biden family ever expects consequences for their actions. Joe thinks it’s because he’s running for re-election that Hunter was found guilty. So Joe thinks Hunter didn’t break the law? That he’s innocent? Seems to be what he’s saying.

In my cynical mind . . . Hunter's trial and conviction is nothing but a ruse to take our eyes off something. There are several "somethings" to consider, but there is a reason why this trial and conviction is happening at this moment. The Democrats (and some Republicans) are capable of anything. I do not trust them!!

His mind is gone. Hunter's first plea deal failed because his political lawyers tacked on a forever immunity deal,. This judge said no way, tossed it, and, as I recall, invited them tro go and try again with a clean plea agreement. Instead they opted to go to trial. Big mistake.

Turley goes on to believe that Hunter and his lawyers have ticked off the judge by going to trial rather than pleading out. Judge jas sentenced others to do time for same offenses. How will she not do the same with him?

Hunter would be in jail if his last name was not Biden.
He had a plea deal. A sweetheart deal no one else would have gotten. An honest judge said BS.
Joe Biden is delusional.

I wonder what Trump would have been charged with if he'd been sitting retired in south Florida instead of running for reelection.

If not a Biden, Hunter would have been charged years ago for corruption, illegally acting as a foreign agent and many other crimes. This gun paperwork crime is just a cover, besides the law is totally unconstitutional in the first place.

Quid Pro Joe could have interceded on Hunter's behalf again to sway the judge if the press weren't watching him so closely right now. But I'm betting that the biggest reason Hunter got convicted was to help the effort to stop Trump from winning in November. They are so fixated on that, they will try everything they can imagine to distract or derail; and if nothing works they will just Grassy Knoll him...

Anyone think the outcome wasn't arranged after Dem strategists gave approval to convict? It attempts to make the judicial system fair and balanced. I think that if Hunter were a black thug with a gun, he probably would have been given a plea. We see it all the time.
