More than one million United Methodists have quit the church overnight over new rules about homosexuality. During a North Carolina conference in early May, the United Methodist Church - a global denomination of Protestantism based in the US - changed some regulations to allow gay pastors and same-sex marriage. The Ivory Coast division - which has an estimated 1.2 million followers - responded by accusing the international leaders of 'deviating from the Holy Scriptures' and 'sacrificing its honor and integrity to honor the LGBTQ community'.

It's an absolutely correct description. We are all sinners. Church is our hospital to treat sin. United Methodists, essentially made a rule that tubercular doctors and nurses can work, unmasked in our hospital.

Apparently no one in the United Methodist hierarchy is familiar with 1 John 2:15-17. Its congregations should be aware that their pastors are willingly leading them through the "wide gate" at the end of which I expect they will have an unpleasant surprise.

This may give a pretty accurate indication of what percent of people claiming to be "christians" are Bible believing followers. About 10%. In a few more years, we will be as pagan as England has become.

Good news. Cut off the non-Christian or is is anti-Christian(?) top portion of the US Methodist church and you can save the denomination.

Churches that bend to public pressure and keep changing what they believe in are not churches. Waiting for the first church to vote on the existence of God.

In September last year, a remote Brazilian tribe received high-speed internet for the first time. The Marubo people live in one of the most isolated spots on the planet and although they have contact with the outside world, the tribe has preserved a traditional way of life for centuries. [SNIP] Asked if the change has been a positive one, villager Tsainama Marubo, 73, said: ‘When it arrived, everyone was happy. But now, things have gotten worse, ‘Young people have gotten lazy because of the internet,’ she explained. ‘They’re learning the ways of the white people.’

Walmart promoted its new Pride apparel on social media ahead of Pride month on Saturday, writing on Instagram, "Not just a slogan. #PrideAlways is a reminder to lead with love." The company’s promotion comes just weeks after Target said its Pride collection would only be available in "select stores" following a major backlash by conservatives last year. [SNIP] Walmart’s new "Pride Always" collection promo includes products like a notebook that says "beyond gender" a tote bag that says "totes gay," a fanny pack with "I heart gay people" on it and rainbow-colored products like a pool floatie and an apron.

In an election year special titled “What’s At Stake” — scheduled to air June 4 at 10 p.m., on BET and BET Her, as well as VH1 — BET correspondent Ed Gordon will hold forth on the political choices black voters will have to make in November. The special will feature a roundtable discussion with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH), and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), all of whom are members of the Congressional Black Caucus. [SNIP] Gordon acknowledged the complete political imbalance of his roundtable — and blamed Republicans.

An Idaho bar has opted to counter LGBTQ Pride Month by celebrating 'Heterosexual Awesomeness Month' during the month of June, saying that without them 'none of us would be here.' Old State Saloon in Eagle, Idaho, which is just outside of Boise, announced this past Wednesday that each Monday would be 'Hetero Male Monday.' Any man dressed 'like a heterosexual male' will be entitled to a free draught beer, according to a Facebook post from the bar. In a subsequent comment, the bar also said it was seeking applicants to judge if male patrons that come on Mondays have straight enough clothing.

In response to a Democrat prosecutor, a Democrat activist and a Democrat jury finding former President Trump guilty of a crime that doesn’t exist based on crimes that they couldn’t define (even right down to the jury finding), Joe Biden and the rest of the party has offered up two meaningless mantras. “No one is above the law” and “We must respect the verdict.” I already addressed the first mantra. No one is above the law except Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Eric Holder, Hunter Biden, Barney Frank, Al Gore, and every 2020 BLM rioter. Not to mention every 2023-2024 Hamas rioter and the 2017 inauguration Democrat rioters.

Long before Donald Trump's hush-money trial concluded, I predicted that his conviction was a forgone conclusion – despite the obvious weakness of the case against him. Had the prosecution been brought in another part of the country, or even in another part of New York State, which was more fairly balanced with anti and pro-Trump voters, I am in little doubt that the outcome would have been different. But instead, on Thursday, Trump became the first former president to be found guilty of a crime – convicted on all 34 flimsy counts of 'falsifying business records.'

China has spent years trying to strengthen its defences in a stretch of sea many experts have long dubbed the People's Republic "Achille's heel." The Malacca Strait, which links the South China Sea to the Indian Ocean, is a pivotal passage for Chinese naval operations as well as its energy imports. The 500-mile strait sits between the Indonesian island of Sumatra, Singapore and the Malay peninsula, and is only 1.7 miles wide at its narrowest point. [SNIP] But the crucial trade route could ultimately prove to be a huge setback for Beijing in the event of a regional crisis.

Conservative radio host and litigator Mark Levin said Wednesday that former President Donald Trump should immediately appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court if convicted by a Manhattan jury, due to serious constitutional issues. The jury began its deliberations Wednesday after Judge Juan Merchan issued his instructions — and, controversially, told the jurors that while they needed to be unanimous on guilt or innocence, they did not need to agree on what underlying federal crime must have been committed in order for a state felony charge of falsification of business records to be brought.

Hamas has been stealing for its own members at least half of the aid sent to Gaza since October 7. This is not surprising. Hamas has been stealing aid money meant for the people of Gaza ever since it took control of the Strip in 2007. Just three Hamas leaders, Khaled Meshaal, Mousa abu Marzouk, and Ismail Haniyeh, have among themselves managed to steal the colossal sum of $11 billion in aid. And while Hamas has been complaining about Israel preventing aid from reaching the Strip, it is actually Hamas that has been harming Gazans, by diverting half of the billion dollars sent by donors to Gaza since October 7.

Lancet‘s guidelines encourage writers to embrace gender identity instead of biological sex. “Sex and gender are often incorrectly portrayed as binary (female/male or woman/man), concordant, and static,” says the guidelines. Therefore, those submitting articles “should use the term ‘sex assigned at birth’ rather than ‘biological sex,’ ‘birth sex’ or ‘natal sex’ as it is more accurate and inclusive.” Inclusive for whom? WASHINGTON — Facing mounting political pressure over the migrant influx at the U.S. southern border, President Joe Biden on Tuesday signed an executive order that will temporarily shut down asylum requests once the average number of daily encounters tops 2,500 between official ports of entry, according to a senior administration official. The shutdown would go into effect immediately since that threshold has already been met, a senior administration official said. The border would reopen only once that number falls to 1,500. The president’s order would come under the Immigration and Nationality Act sections 212(f) and 215(a) suspending entry of noncitizens who cross the southern border into the United States unlawfully.

Benjamin Netanyahu has something in common with Garth Brooks -- he has 'friends' in low places. In an interview with Time Magazine, Joe Biden addressed a number of issues, although just how much Biden addressed them may be up for some debate. Biden insists that he is one of Israel's greatest friends, and at least in the days after October 7, Biden appeared to have determination to act like a friend. These days, however, Biden's party has fractured on the war that Hamas started with those brutal massacres, rapes, and kidnappings. So Biden is tossing his "friends" under the bus today by quasi-accusing them of "war crimes," an

Everyone who has to go to court wants a sympathetic judge. But when a party goes “judge shopping,” it undermines people’s faith in the ability to get a fair hearing. It is bad enough when lawyers try to game the system in civil litigation. It is outrageous when the government does it to get home field advantage in criminal prosecutions, where the goal is to deny someone his/her freedom. Yet, that is exactly what the Department of Justice did recently, and was rightly called out for it. Isabella DeLuca was indicted in a case involving the Jan. 6 riot.
