Recently approved vaccines for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) for older adults may be linked to a rare nervous system disorder that causes the body’s immune system to attack its own nerves.
In a Feb. 29 meeting of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, health officials presented data that appears to show a slightly elevated rate of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) among people who received RSV vaccines by Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
A data mining alert on Jan. 19 for disproportional reporting was detected by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Pfizer’s Abrysvo RSV vaccine and GBS but has not been reported to date for GSK’s RSV vaccine Arexvy,

I'm permanently done with all vaccines. I was never an anti-vaxxer, and took 8 to 10 vaccinations in about 2004 for oddball diseases found in Russia and south central Asia because the CDC had them on their recommended list for travel to those regions. I spent 10 years traveling in the former soviet states. And I used to get the annual flu vaccines every year, for probably 25 years. No more.
Today, I assume that everything the CDC says is a lie, or just false. And since they made these mRNA shots and lied to call them vaccines, I'm never going to trust the medical establishment again on this topic.

They always lie.
NEVER trust big Pharma. They care about profits and depend on sick people staying sick. There is no profit for them with wellness.

They really are trying to kill us, aren't they? I'm 81, so my time is limited. I'll just go at my own speed, and not worry about hurrying my time with the governments vaccines.

We’re a vaccine free household also including our pets. BUT the hubs recently had a bad shingles outbreak, his first, and he’s considering getting one of the shingles vaccines. Any insight or advice from this forum is most welcome. I know there are a few to choose from and according to the internet, they’re all wonderful.

Thanks for posting OP. Was considering getting the RSV jab. But, now I think I'll just let nature take its course. Have a flu shot every year because I am less sick. Had 5 jabs for COVID. Enough is enough. Not to go off topic but the most painful shot I ever had was for Shingles. Felt like I'd been hit by a board for weeks.

Re #5. I had a shingles vaccine 15 years ago, no problems. Then a few years later, maybe 5 my doc asked about shingles vax, and I told her that I had gotten it. She said that the older vaccines weren't actually working as well as expected, and there was a new vaccine...so I took that one.
I had a shingles outbreak while traveling in a former soviet state, went to a doc in Moscow...who was clueless, had no idea what it was. I flew home two days later when the trip ended, walked into my doc's office and when she opened the door to the exam room, from 8 feet away....said "Oh, shingles, and a pretty good case" So much for Russian docs vs American docs. So, I got the first vax then, and then the replacement. Both were old style vaccines, not mRNA. Neither caused any trouble at the time, and I have not had a recurrence of shingles. I got an antiviral for the one episode and it cured it in a couple of days.
Beware of shingles....a friend's mother had a case that left a permanent, extremely painful rash on her midsection wrapping half way around. NOTHING could fix it. She lived for years with a huge like 8 by 12 inch stick on lidocaine patch to numb those nerves, otherwise she said it felt like a torch was burning the whole area, left her a crying wreck. Shingles can be minor or very painful. Everyone has to choose their own medical path.
I'd enquire how old the particular vaccine you are contemplating is, and get the trade name before you get it. Then spend time on the net reading about how long it has been in use, and whether it is the "wonderful new mRNA vaccines". Personally, I won't take the mRNA types, but many have survived the Fauci shots, although many have been harmed, too.
Risk vs reward. IMO, the risk of shingles may be a greater issue than COVID was for a healthy person. The Wuhan virus rarely caused more than a bad flu for a week for a healthy person. Shingles, in some, can be a permanent sentence to pain, although this is not everyone's experience.
Gotta decide for yourself, that's the best info I have. Good luck, hope your hubby doesn't get bad shingles.

Clarification of above post. My shingles outbreak was before any vaccinations for it. It was the reason for the vaccinations, and I have had no recurrence after vaccination.

Covid vaccines - the gift that keeps on giving! I feel sorry (really) for anyone who fell for it.

I'm with #2. I, too, am permanently done with all vaccines. You can't undo a shot and after the clot shot fiasco, I am extremely wary of ANY shot being put in my system. You just can't trust them any more.

Took control of my body when I retired from the military in 1995. CDC, FDA, AMA,WHO can kiss both sides of my @$$. Haven't had a jab since then and not about to start.

NO more vaccines for this old body...I took the jab and fortunately I wasn't one of those afflicted with any extra disease/problems because of it...at this age I have enough problems of my own without any additional....I no longer trust the CDC and wouldn't be surprised if they bio-engineered the yearly flu shots, so I have avoided even that for the last two years...

"The Shingrix vaccine is considered more than 90% effective. The CDC recommends two doses of Shingrix for the prevention of shingles and its complications in healthy adults 50 or older as well as those 18 years of age and older who are or will be immunodeficient or immunosuppressed due to disease or therapy. You should get it even if you’ve had shingles before. You should also get it even if you already had the earlier Zostavax vaccine, which was removed from the market in 2020."

I remember being in elementary school getting tested for TB at the school and then getting the polio vaccine at school. That was a true vaccine and a life saver for millions. Now, not so much. As an old lady in my early 70's I am just going to take my chances. I don't trust them either. They lied so much during covid. And these illegals are bringing God knows what when they are let in.

Color me skeptical about claims that the shingles vaccine is 90% effective. I remember that we were told much the same thing about the COVID jab. I also don't buy this "you'll have a less-severe case" garbage. After all the lies the CDC, Big Pharma and the medical establishment have told over the years, I don't believe a word they say, including "and," and "the."
