Mitch McConnell and his friends are keen to paint the outgoing majority leader as the bookend of the Age of Reagan. Even some of his liberal opponents are happy to repeat the lazy mantra, if only to contrast gooey 1980s nostalgia with the populist conservatism of the new right.
(snip) any serious attempt to understand history’s longest-serving Senate leader needs to focus on the age in which he rose to power: those eight years of Republican rule in the early 2000s. (snip) by the time he won the mantle of minority leader, those days were gone. More than anything, Mitch McConnell was a Bush Republican.

AS a Texan, I am not hesitant to say that GW was a great governor.
But he got "DC sewer-itis" within days of getting to DC, and was a disaster as president. We truly are still paying for that to this day!!!!!

someone and I'd like to know who, exactly, it was sold our President a false narrative about Hong King Mitch, which won him re-election in Kentucky
- the communists are so deeply entrenched within our federal, and many state, governments that the cleansing process will take more than just one term in office of Donald J. Trump so, his Vice President should have the same chutzpah that our President has and not be afraid to "call a spade, a spade" and then .... act on it with strenuous vigor and resolve because
- our very existence depends on who does what, when it should be done and the strength of character to undertake such a mission is not very readily available in many of our present day political people because
- it seems that, as usual, the campaign promises made by our elected representatives are never kept except by only one person: our President, Donald J. Trump

GWB heard that we were attacked by Saudis on 9/11/01 so he attacked Afghanistan and Iraq. That's all you need to know about his administration.

#1, we are still paying for the shiite show that was the Carter administration. Imagine how our children and grandchildren will be paying for the disasters of the 0bama and Xiden administrations. At least in my grandchildren’s’ case, I’m glad that I won’t be here to see it.

McConnell is a tragic warning of how politicians fail in their responsibilities to maintain civil, social and political continuity for the next generation. McConnel and he is not alone, seems to be completely ambivalent to the damage being inflicted on the core fabric of the Nation. As I look back, the Bush senior election debacle, losing due to a chicken farmer, marked the decline of Republican party's influence. Seeing Republicans could not effectively manage their message, Democrats

About the nicest thing I can verbalize with any Salon-permitted clarity is : a pox on the House of Bush and McConnell. A nasty fetid eternal pox that debilitates them into oblivion forever.
