The manufacturer of the door plug that blew out of an Alaska Airlines flight and plummeted 16,000 feet onto an Oregon man’s property was the target of a recent class-action lawsuit that alleged “widespread and sustained quality failures.”
The federal lawsuit against Spirit Aerosystems was filed less than a month before the mid-air emergency aboard the ill-fated Boeing 737 MAX 9 on Friday, NBC News reported.
Investors in the company — the main supplier of fuselage parts to Boeing — had emphasized the importance of the 737 MAX program after deadly accidents involving the model in 2018 and 2019, according to the outlet.

Vivek Ramaswamy certainly seems to have a talent in knowing how to deal with media. We've seen this now on multiple occasions where he has taken apart reporters who try to take him out but find the tables being turned on them. The most recent examples of this were when he decimated NBC's Dasha Burns as well as a WaPo reporter on questions about racism and white supremacy. But the questions he asked the media on Wednesday were truly something else. He was talking with two state reps, and one of them wanted to know if there was any of the national media who believed they were wrong.

Former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) loses to His Fraudulency Joe Biden, while former President Trump crushes the sitting president.
If the 2024 presidential election were held today, Trump would defeat Hunter’s Dad by a margin of 49 percent to 41 percent, according to polling from Rasmussen Reports.
If Nikki Haley is the 2024 Republican nominee, she would lose to Biden by two points, 36 to 38 percent.Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) would only eke out a single-point margin against Biden, 42 to 41 percent.
For those dumb enough to still trust the corporate media, here’s a mind-bender: Trump does much better with black voters than DeSantis and Haley.

The poem by Emma Lazarus on the base of the Statue of Liberty was gospel for the Democratic Party under President Donald Trump. Airhead CNN personality Jim Acosta made a name for himself quoting the “Give us your tired, your poor” lines like they were legally binding and not just part of an old fundraising pitch to the public to raise money to build the statue’s base. These Democrats were outraged any government impediments would be put in place to hinder the endless flow of illegal aliens into the country. Now that they’re getting a big dose of their own medicine, those Democrats are singing a different tune.

Sigh. Does the left ever get tired of finger-pointing? Not a day goes by without a self-appointed justice warrior either screaming at or whining about some perceived wrong against a leftist person or group. Leftists' beliefs are so radical that no action against them is necessary for them to feel victimized. You can offend the left simply by existing.
The Johns Hopkins University DEI office, led by Chief Diversity Officer Sherita Hill Golden, demonstrated a perfect example of this type of delusion. Is electricity a source of energy? Most people will answer yes, which is incorrect. Electricity carries energy but it is not itself a source of energy, which in the U.S. is supplied 60% by natural gas and coal, 18% nuclear and 22% renewables (hydro, solar and wind).
The related question is whether cars are a major consumer of energy and hence a significant contributor of Co2 emissions? Again, most people believe both statements are self-evidently true, hence the importance of moving to electric cars.
In fact, cars (light-duty transportation) account for less than 5% of global energy demand, with U.S. cars accounting for 19% of the global car fleet,

Over the last several years, the U.S. Military has struggled to meet recruitment goals across all branches, perhaps most of all with the Army.
One of the reasons for this has now been explained. White men are no longer enlisting in the numbers they did in the past.
Families which used to encourage young men to enlist are doing so in far fewer numbers for reasons which are obvious to many. New woke policies, the vaccine mandates and the embrace of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) policies mean white recruits are looked over for advancement in the US Military today. All of these factors have all contributed to this decline

Embattled District Attorney Fani Willis has been subpoenaed to testify in the divorce case of the special prosecutor handling the Trump election interference case, who she stands accused of having an “improper relationship” with.
Furthermore, it has emerged the attorney, Nathan Wade, wasn’t even approved by the relevant board before being hired by the Willis who presides over Fulton County in Georgia. Willis hired Atlanta-based private attorney Nathan Wade as a special prosecutor in the case against Trump and 18 of his associates over their alleged actions following the 2020 election.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley took to the debate stage here less than a week before Iowa caucus-goers will select their chosen candidate in the GOP primary.
The debate’s tone was immediately negative, with Haley and DeSantis lobbing attacks at each other from the start. DeSantis sought to paint Haley as a “corporatist” Republican beholden to donors while Haley accused DeSantis of lying and repeatedly plugged her campaign’s attack website against him.

Not only is Anthony Fauci a shameless flip-flopper, but he’s an extremely sloppy one at that—why are these criminals in politics (pardon the redundancy) so incapable of covering their tracks? How does a man like Peter Strzok, who spent a career as an investigative agent, put something as incriminating as “we’ll stop” a Trump presidency into writing, on a government-issued cell phone? How does Hunter Biden leave the “Laptop from Hell,” containing graphic evidence of criminal activity, with some civilian computer repair store man? How does Fauci “confess” to Capitol Hill lawmakers that the six-foot social distancing guidance “sort of just appeared” out of the ether,

Now that Claudine Gay is out as president at Harvard after a plagiarism scandal, will Barack Obama become the university's next president?
Here's what's being bruited about in the media, according to the Daily Mail:
Barack Obama has been touted as a contender for the next president of Harvard after the resignation by Claudine Gay due to an anti-Semitism and plagiarism scandal.
The former president, who graduated from Harvard Law School in 1991, may be a candidate for the position - and he wouldn't be the first ex-POTUS to take charge of an elite college.

If the ruler of Qatar really wanted to end the hostage saga, all he has to do is issue an ultimatum to Hamas that if the hostages are not released within, say, 48 hours, he will expel all the Hamas leaders who are still in Qatar and stop funding and providing political support to the group. Arab dictators are not known to be merciful toward those who defy them.
Apparently, Qatar does not feel that it is under any pressure from the Biden administration to end the ordeal of the hostages.
If Hamas released the hostages and laid down its weapons, the war would end tomorrow.

In this video [see below], presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is essentially describing the “splitter strategy” CTH has discussed and outlined in granular detail for years. Essentially, a process where the billionaire donors, hedge fund managers, corporations and multinationals – what we define as the Sea Island group (SIG), control the private corporation known as the RNC. On this facet of his commentary, Ramaswamy is correct. However, from there he gets things wrong. Yes, as we have said, the Chris Christie exit is part of the continuum. Remember, within mutually aligned motives the candidate doesn’t need specifically to be an active participant;

In their most hostile encounter yet, Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis attacked each other early and often in Wednesday’s Republican primary debate rather than focus on Donald Trump, the absent front-runner, as both tried to demonstrate they were the strongest alternative to the former president.
DeSantis and Haley called each other liars and insulted each other’s records and character in the opening minutes of the debate. They seemed to relish the chance to go head to head without their lower-polling rivals interrupting, as in past debates. The two Republicans instead drilled into each other’s policy ideas and directed viewers to dueling fact-checking websites their campaigns set up.

President Trump, during his town hall on FOX News, shared that he has already decided who he will pick for his next Vice President.
The topic was brought up when FOX News’s Town Hall moderator Martha MacCallum asked Trump, “If you are the nominee, who would be in the running for Vice President?”
Trump responded, “I can’t tell you that, really.”
The 45th President continued “I know who it’s gonna be. We’ll do another show sometime.” It’s pretty clear it won’t be spineless turncoat Mike Pence.

St. Paul, Minnesota, seated four new City Council members on Tuesday, and now has an entirely female slate of Council members.
Additionally, all seven women are under age 40, and six of the seven are women of color.
Anika Bowie, Saura Jost, Hwa Jeong Kim and Cheniqua Johnson became the Council's newest members. Rebecca Noecker, Mitra Jalali and Nelsie Yang all won reelection in their districts. All seven members are Democrats but ran on a nonpartisan ballot.
Prior to Tuesday, two of the seven council members were male.
St. Paul uses ranked-choice voting, meaning voters must rank their preferred candidates.

Former president Donald Trump vowed during his Fox News town hall on Wednesday night to create the “largest deportation effort in the history of our country” if he is reelected in November, saying “we have no choice.”
Trump, the leading contender for the Republican nomination, said that as many as 18 million people will have entered the country illegally by the end of Democrat Joe Biden’s presidency, a number that he said is “not sustainable for our country.”
“Many of those people come from jails and prisons, many of those people come from mental institutions and insane asylums, and many of those people are terrorists,” he said, taking another big

During a town hall on the Fox News Channel on Wednesday, 2024 Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump responded to a question on him blaming abortion for some Republican election losses and criticism of heartbeat laws by stating that he has to have life of the mother, rape, and incest exemptions, but beyond that “I want to get something where people are happy.” And “we’re going to come up with something that people want and people like.” And he thinks that rival 2024 Republican candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ abortion position might have been the reason for him sliding in the polls because “if you talk

Republicans scored massive victories in elections held in Virginia on Tuesday, returning two GOP politicians to local legislature following the departure of the incumbents.
While it has leaned to Democrats in recent elections, Virginia is seen as an important battleground state ahead of the 2024 election, with Republicans winning in the latest gubernatorial election in 2021 and political commentators labeling it a competitive purple state. Tammy Mulchi defeated Democrat Tina Wyatt-Younger by 63.9 percent to 36.1 percent of the vote to win the 9th state Senate District in Southside. She will succeed state Sen. Frank Ruff,

The World Economic Forum (WEF) on Wednesday released a survey that named “extreme weather” and “misinformation” as the factors most likely to trigger a global crisis in 2024.
The latest edition of WEF’s annual Global Risks Report said the world is “plagued by a duo of dangerous crises: climate and conflict.” The report was compiled by polling “nearly 1,500 global experts from academia, business, government, the international community and civil society.”
84 percent of those experts expected a “stormy,” “turbulent,” or “unsettled” global risk environment over the next two years, rising to 93 percent over a ten-year timeline. “Stormy,” the worst category in the WEF report, means “global catastrophic risks looming.”

Pollsters love to ask the generic ballot question: without naming names, “If the elections for Congress were held today, would you vote for the Democratic candidate or for the Republican candidate?” It is a basic measure of party strength as the next election approaches.
The generic ballot question is also weirdly volatile. Preferences shift more often than one would expect.
In any event, Rasmussen has good news for Republicans:
Ten months ahead of the 2024 election, Republicans have a nine-point lead as they seek to maintain their narrow House majority.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that if the elections for Congress were held today, 49%

Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) delivered a speech on the Senate floor in response to the charges of corruption leveled against him. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) was asked about that speech and he’s not having it.
Menendez criticized the federal bribery charges against him and he criticized colleagues for calling for his resignation. Both Democrats and Republicans have called for his resignation. Fetterman wasn’t moved by the speech. He called for the resignation of Menendez at the time the bribery charges became public knowledge.
“Oh, I know, yeah, he’s a victim. Yeah, he’s a victim,” Fetterman said sarcastically.
Fetterman continued, “I’ve been calling for that sleazeball has to go.

Claudine Gay is no longer the president of Harvard after 50 examples of plagiarism were exposed throughout her academic career. It was a charge she could not survive. However, Gay should’ve been booted for her atrocious remarks regarding calls for Jewish genocide on college campuses and whether that was an activity that, at the very least, constituted harassment. She could not. Days later, Gay’s academic record was exposed as fraudulent. The liberal media couldn’t defend it, as professors, including Harvard, admitted that there were papers where “duplicated language” was discovered with no attribution. The Left claimed that Gay’s resignation was soaked in racism and that conservatives were
