One of sports’ most iconic coaching tenures is over. The Patriots and Bill Belichick will part ways on Thursday, ESPN.com reported. Rumors had swirled around Belichick’s future all season as the Patriots finished with a 4-13 record and missed the playoffs for the third time in four seasons. He’s enjoyed little success without Tom Brady, and is now without a job. Belichick, widely regarded as one of the best coaches of all time, if not the best, led the Patriots for 24 years, famously winning six Super Bowls with the team. It caps a wild 24 hours that also saw legendary Alabama coach Nick Saban retire. Belichick owned a 266-121 overall record

It couldn't happen to a more deserving guy, one who made his name as head coach of the New England Cheat-riots. Caught cheating twice and paid essentially no price.

It looks more and more like Belichick rode on the shoulders of Brady and other noteworthy Patriots players. He was not able to rebuild the team which means the organization isn't as good as everyone thought it was. Of course, it might be the quality of the players available too. Get the impression of top tier teams are having similar problems.

Wow,how quickly the worm turns. One day you the best thing since PB&J,next you are lower than whale excrement. Must really suck to be a multimillionaire coach who has never been without a home or a meal...

Joe Biden seems to have great confusion about the Houthis. Earlier on Friday, as he was wandering around some Allentown, Pennsylvania, stores looking frighteningly confused, he was asked about Iran and the Houthis. He was asked whether we were in a proxy war with Iran. He said no, but it's beginning to look like it. We certainly have been in a bit of a cold war with them for a while. But he claimed that Iran didn't want war with us. Then he said he believed the Houthis were terrorists. That seemingly went against his policy of delisting them when he came into

Americans are divided on how the U.S. Supreme Court should handle former President Donald Trump’s ballot access, but a majority in a new ABC News/Ipsos poll say they would support the court either barring Trump from presidential ballots nationally or letting states take that step individually. The national poll finds a close division on state-level rulings barring Trump from the ballot in Colorado and Maine, 49-46%, support-oppose. On next steps, 56% are willing to see him disqualified in all or some states, including 30% who say the high court should bar him in all states and 26% who say it should let each state decide.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. military early Saturday struck another Houthi-controlled site in Yemen that it had determined was putting commercial vessels in the Red Sea at risk, two U.S. officials said, a day after the U.S. and Britain launched multiple airstrikes targeting Houthi rebels. Associated Press journalists in Sanaa, Yemen’s capital, heard one loud explosion. The first day of strikes Friday hit 28 locations and struck more than 60 targets. However, the U.S. determined the additional location, a radar site, still presented a threat to maritime traffic, one official said. The officials spoke anonymously to the AP to discuss an operation that hadn’t yet been publicly announced.

The CIA has been providing Israel information on senior Hamas leaders and the location of the remaining hostages the terrorist organization has kidnapped in Gaza, according to a Friday report by The New York Times citing US officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The US hasn't provided Israel with intel on "low or midlevel Hamas operatives," the report said. Additionally, the report cites some of the US officials' belief that targeting low-level Hamas members is "misguided" because "they can be easily replaced and because of the unwarranted risk to civilians." They have also said

While many American cities continue to struggle with proliferation of homeless camps in their parks and on their sidewalks, the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case that could determine if enforcing bans on those camps is a violation of the Constitution. The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to review an appellate court ruling in Johnson v. Grants pass, one of two Ninth Circuit rulings that limited the ability of municipalities to enforce camping bans against involuntarily homeless people with nowhere else to go and when there is not enough shelter space for all of them. Critics say the rulings have supercharged the proliferation of homeless camps

Hunter Biden has finally agreed to sit for a closed-door deposition before Congress, as the full House prepares to vote on two resolutions to hold him in contempt for ignoring subpoenas related to his father’s impeachment inquiry. Hunter’s attorney Abbe Lowell said the president’s son will comply with the House GOP’s investigation in a letter sent to House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer (R., Ky.) and House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) on Friday. The letter to Congress comes two days after both committees passed separate resolutions in response to Hunter Biden’s defiance of orders requiring him to sit for a closed-door deposition in December.

Disney-owned Pixar, the animation studio behind blockbuster franchises “Toy Story,” The Incredibles” and “Finding Nemo,” is set to slash jobs, according to reports. The studio has “completed production on some shows and now has more staff than it needs,” Reuters reported on Friday, citing an anonymous source. TechCrunch had reported earlier this week that Pixar will chop headcount by as much as 20% this year, reducing staffing to roughly 1,000 from the current 1,300 that work for the studio. However, the anonymous source disputed that number, saying the studio had yet to determine how many will jobs will be cut, but added that the layoffs were “imminent.” Disney and Pixar did not immediately

The speech, which was delivered at the International Union of Muslim Scholars conference in Doha, Qatar, illustrated the need for more support coming from donors across the globe. That a city government felt the need to do this was ridiculous, but then again the whole city is ridiculous. The video was bizarre. Today I saw more evidence of just how awful the behavior of the activists was during the hearing before the vote to condemn Israel. The Senate GOP leadership’s draft border deal with the White House would reward illegal migration and encourage more foreign graduates to take jobs from American graduates, says the Immigration Accountability Project. “There’s nothing in there that [restricts immigration], in fact, it’s just going to encourage more people to come,” said Chris Chmielenski, president of the Immigration Accountability Project, adding: It essentially authorizes the Biden administration to continue to catch and release people into the country. It authorizes them to give them work permits [to illegal migrants and] authorizes them to grant parole [legal status] to everybody that they’re able to funnel to a port of entry.

The Department of Justice wants the Supreme Court to stop Texas from blocking federal Border Patrol agents from a portion of the U.S.-Mexico border near Eagle Pass, southwest of San Antonio. Texas state troopers on Thursday fenced off a public park in Eagle Pass, prompting objections from city officials — and the new filing from the Justice Department. The Justice Department said armed Texas National Guard members have blockaded access roads to the area, which "effectively prevents" Border Patrol agents from getting to or monitoring a roughly 2.5-mile stretch of the border.
