Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott - fed up with apparent inaction from President Joe Biden on the current immigration crisis at the Southern border - has approved a sweeping new law that allows police to arrest migrants who illegally cross into the US.
The law will also give local judges the authority to order migrants to leave the country, as roughly 2,000 cross the border with Mexico every day.
The law, known as SB4, takes effect in March and allows any Texas law enforcement officer to arrest people who are suspected of entering the country illegally. Those who re-enter face penalties ranging from 180 days in jail to 20 years

The Japanese Nippon Steel Corporation (NSC) announced Monday that it is acquiring the iconic United States Steel Corporation after the company entertained multiple offers.

Few things will anger Americans more than a protest blocking a highway or main road. The anti-Israel crew blocked the 110 Freeway last week in Los Angeles. They kept little kids on two school buses trapped for an hour, not to mention hundreds of other drivers. Motorists were not happy and some of them physically confronted some of these characters; one driver picked up one of them and then dumped the activist in the street. The Gateway Pundit previously reported that a Michigan judge dismissed a challenge aimed at preventing former President Donald Trump from appearing on the state’s ballot for the 2024 presidential election.
“The Fourteenth Amendment arguments of plaintiffs present a political question that is nonjusticiable at the present time,” Judge James Robert Redford noted in his ruling.
A 13-year-old boy accused of plotting to shoot up and burn down a synagogue in Canton has been placed on probation after admitting to charges connected to the incident.
The boy, a Plain Township resident, pleaded true, the juvenile equivalent of guilty, on Friday to misdemeanor counts of inducing panic and disorderly conduct. Stark County Family Court Judge Jim James ordered probation, but suspended a 90-day sentence at the Multi-County Juvenile Attention Center.
The boy was also barred from using the internet without supervision and ordered to continue counseling with a licensed therapist.
