Former Vice President Mike Pence said Saturday he is dropping out of the 2024 presidential race.
He made the shock announcement in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday during the Republican Jewish Coalition Annual Leadership Summit as GOP candidates gathered to speak to this voting bloc.
Pence said it became increasingly clear that he could not win the Republican nomination.'You know, we always knew this would be an uphill battle. But I have no regrets,' Pence assured.
He added: 'The only thing that would have been harder than coming up short, would have been if we never tried at all.'

Houston mayoral candidate and current U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee drew support from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at an event on Friday.
Clinton reassured Houston voters that she believes Jackson Lee is the right woman for the job.
"They will not regret their vote because they will have a mayor who will work 24/7 to do what she has said she will do," Clinton said. There was a bit of commotion during the endorsement when a protester disrupted her speech and had to be escorted out.
Jackson Lee is a frontrunner in the race for mayor alongside Texas state Senator John Whitmire.

During an interview with Bloomberg on Thursday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated that the rise in Treasury yields that increases the cost of the U.S. government borrowing money isn’t largely connected to the deficit, but is largely “a reflection of the resilience that people are seeing in the U.S. economy that we’re not having a recession, that consumer spending and demand continue to be strong, the economy is continuing to show tremendous robustness.”

On day one of the Biden administration, he canceled the Keystone Pipeline, putting thousands of skilled workers out of work. (snip) Biden is an angry man, a stupid man, an arrogant man, and a little man. He was never a good senator. (snip) He constantly makes up things that he’s done or accomplished when those claims are easily checked. (snip) He has tried for years to make us believe he is good, smart, and legitimate, but he is none of those things. He has brought the United States to a historic low — the brink of another world war. He’s blown up the world.

Chinese state media continued to gush over visiting California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday, hailing the Democrat’s warm meeting with dictator Xi Jinping as a triumph of “mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation.”
Newsom said that under his leadership, California is ready to become “China’s long-term, stable, and strong partner.” (snip) Newsom came out firmly against decoupling from China by moving supply chains to other countries, proclaiming “divorce is not an option” for the U.S. and China

Republican Sen. Mitt Romney laughed at former President Donald Trump and called him a 'whack job' after the ex-president and 2024 hopeful spent Monday morning bashing him on Truth Social.
Romney is the subject of a new biography by The Atlantic's McKay Coppins entitled Romney: A Reckoning, where he gives another warning about Trumpism, after voting to convict Trump at both impeachments.
The Utah senator mouthed off to Coppins about Trump and other Republican leaders, which prompted the ex-president to take to Truth Social and call Romney 'a total loser that only a mother could love,' among other insults.

President Trump used his Constitutional right to Free Speech on Friday to go off on the crooked Judge Arthur Engoron, New York State Attorney General Letitia James for continuing this lawfare suit against President Trump and his family after the star witness testified this week that there is zero evidence that President Trump misrepresented the value of his assets to gain business loans for his company.
There is no victim in this lawsuit. President Trump paid off each loan and the banks admitted they would readily loan him money for future projects.
Engoron is the same bizarre and unhinged judge who opened the garbage trial against Donald Trump

On Thursday, in response to the Maine shootings, President Joe Biden pushed for a repeal of protections that protect gun makers from frivolous lawsuits, universal background checks, and other gun controls.
WhiteHouse.gov published Biden’s statement, which opened with him saying, “Today, Jill and I are praying for the Americans who’ve lost their lives, for those still in critical care, and for the families, survivors, and community members enduring shock and grief.”
He then urged residents in Maine’s Lewiston area to heed all law enforcement’s warnings, including alerts to shelter-in-place.

Newly-minted House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday that the entirety of his worldview could be found if one would simply “go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it.”
Johnson, who received unanimous Republican support after three weeks of chaos — and three other nominees for the position — was elected on Wednesday to replace ousted House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and spoke with Hannity about getting back to business in the House of Representatives.

Coming from the media sphere, I have something of an immunity for ridiculous personalities and clickbaity positions, but when it comes to Sean Hannity, I have zero chill. His arrogance is outrageous, even by celebrity standards, but some of the things that come out of his mouth are so daft that I cannot abide giving him even one minute of validation. Case in point? He was interviewing Nikki Haley the evening of Oct. 25, fewer than three hours after the massacre in Lewiston, when he indulged in a soliloquy that made even the presidential hopeful look bored. And Hannity’s point? To say that his plan, should he ever find himself

A meeting over Chicago's brewing migrant crisis in the Brighton Park neighborhood became heated as residents protested a planned camp that can house over 2,000 migrants, according to Fox 32 Chicago.
Residents of the southwest side of Chicago neighborhood were fiercely divided over the plan, with city officials confirming their plans to build a camp for migrants on a "10-acre vacant lot, located at 38th and California," per the outlet.
"The City of Chicago has been identifying viable sites across the city to construct base camps as an alternative to new arrivals sleeping outdoors, at O’Hare and on the floors of police district stations as winter fast approaches,"

Thousands gathered in Istanbul on Saturday for what was touted as the “Great Palestine Meeting.” The event was a pro-Palestine rally aimed at condemning Israel’s recent military actions in Gaza, where Hamas headquarters are located.
Hamas terrorists were responsible for a deadly attack that claimed the lives of 1,400 Jews in southern Israel. One must ask the question: What did people expect Israel to do in response? Not retaliate? When an entity like Hamas, designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union, and Israel, engages in violent acts aimed at killing civilians, it is not only Israel’s right but also its obligation to defend its citizens.
