Fox News reportedly informed the Trump campaign on Monday that surrogates for the former president will not be allowed to attend the first Republican primary debate. The barring of Trump surrogates from attending Wednesday’s debate at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee comes one day after the 77-year-old former president confirmed that he would not participate in the event, which will be aired on Fox News, CNN’s Alayna Treene reported on Monday. The ex-commander-in-chief’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., had said Monday that he would be attending the showdown as a surrogate for his father. His fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, was also

Today is a new low for an America that is being dragged through every humiliation, in its re-christening as a thoroughgoing Banana Republic. (snip) So I wondered a month ago, as wind soughed softly on that warm New Jersey evening: why is he doing this? As he often notes himself — he has a great life, and he does not need to run again. And I could not help, though it was against every conditioned reflex of many years, considering: Maybe he is doing this because he loves his country.

It is August: another day, another partisan Democrat indictment of Trump, while Americans either cheer, scream, or shrug as they head once more unto the beach, slather on sunblock, and sip a banana republic daquiri.
Emulating the Biden administration’s Department of Justice’s special counsel, Jack Smith, once again a partisan local Democratic prosecutor in a one-party jurisdiction has stretched state laws to indict a former president from their opposing party who is also the leading candidate for its 2024 nomination. As previously demonstrated by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Georgia’s Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis will receive the plaudits

As we reported earlier, Joe Biden has finally made it to Maui to speak about the disaster that took place almost two weeks ago. He's meeting with some of the victims and first responders, and he also has made some brief remarks in Lahaina.
Protesters met him at the airport with signs, excoriating him and saying, "He should've been here much earlier," "It's too late," and "Actions speak louder than words." People even had a sign out in front of their home in Kehei reading "Traitor Joe Must Go." As we noted earlier, the White House is trying to sell that they have been involved since

A new Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll has been released. Likely Iowa caucusgoers put Donald Trump in the lead, with his percentage growing by 5 points after the Georgia indictment was announced.
Trump has a more than 2-to-1 lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the number two candidate in polls. Take all polls at this point with a grain or three of salt, as the Iowa caucuses are the first test for Republican presidential primary candidates. The Iowa caucuses are five months away, a lifetime in politics.

Most people want to join a tribe. With a tribe, you have a place to go – something like the bar in Cheers where everybody knows your name and they’re always glad you came. (Or is it “they’re always there to blame”?)
This tribal instinct is natural. For the first three million years of our existence, tribes served as cohesive institutions to defend themselves and their interests, to conquer the lands of competing tribes, to enslave the members of those competing tribes, to inseminate their women, and to hunt big game. Later they farmed cooperatively, built cities, undertook public works projects, sailed the seas and flew to the moon.

Someone who is up 41 points should not participate in a political debate.
In the RealClearPolitics poll of national GOP primary polls, former President Donald Trump is 40.9 points ahead of second place. What’s more, nationally, Trump sits well over the magic halfway mark with 55.8 percent support.
Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is waaaaaayyy behind in second place with 14.9 percent support. The rest are in single digits.
Only a madman who’s up 41 points would risk that lead by participating in a debate with a half-dozen other candidates who—I’m sorry, but this is true—do not matter.

Early in the Times story, I had to re-read this sentence: "The deal’s collapse — chronicled in over 200 pages of confidential correspondence

The real problem with racism in America today is that demand far outstrips supply. Where does the demand come from? Chiefly from our woke elites. It is they who understand that the charge of “racism” is a potent meal ticket and guarantor of institutionalized political power. Accordingly, they have a large stake in perpetuating the reign of racism. In this realm, too, incentives matter. It is also worth noting that many of these elite race cadets are white. Blacks are invited to participate in this theatrical production, but only so long as they play their assigned roles. They must mouth the pieties about “systemic,” i.e., perpetual, incurable racism. The joke going around now is that Trump is awaiting a new indictment for taking the tags off his mattress. Congressional investigators claim to have strong evidence that President Joe Biden and his family received a staggering $20 million or more in payments from foreign sources while he served as vice president under Barack Obama. If proven true, two-thirds of Americans say that Biden should either resign or be impeached, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll indicates.
The accusation of possible bribery is serious. And a key House investigative panel says it has evidence, mostly bank statements, to back up claims that Biden took money from oligarchs in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
“The tally of foreign money to the Biden family has hit at least $20 million,

Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of the Hezbollah terror group, recently threatened to send Israel back "to the Stone Age" if it goes to war with Lebanon -- meaning defend itself against an Iranian-Lebanese attack.
While Nasrallah's threat to destroy Israel is not new, he surely knows a thing or two about sending countries back to the Stone Age. His Iran-backed group, which functions as a state-within-a-state in Lebanon, is responsible for turning the Arab country into a failed state.

Trump supporters organized a caravan in Manhattan today. The Trump supporters were planning on traveling through the city and passing by Trump Tower.
The police did not remove the protesters blocking traffic.
But then three leftists with a spray-painted sheet stood in the street and blocked traffic. Police did nothing to remove the leftists from the road.

Kaleo Manuel, the now-"redeployed" Hawaiian state water commissioner who delayed the release of water for five hours to Lahaina's firefighters as the town burned, is no ordinary bureaucrat.
He's got "supporters."
Here's a buried-news picture-story from the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, showing about 30 "supporters" gathered around him, showering him with about 15 leis, which went up to his chin as he grinned happily. There were hula dances, and from a hula master who teaches at the Univerity of Hawaii at Manoa, no less. There were a couple of older people wearing "808 Cleanups" t-shirts,

Has President Biden become so senile that he is now longer qualified to be commander-in-chief? The outward signs of dementia are everywhere. He often appears confused, unsure of his next move, and unable to remember his speech. Key political terms such as the "national debt" are improperly used, while his memory lapses include falsely claiming to have observed an events or declaring a climate emergency. Even the Washington Post has raised serious doubts about the president's mental acuity. Off-the-cuff remarks sometimes make no sense whatsoever. Such incidents have become commonplace and cannot be explained by slips of the tongue or fatigue.

A New York City mom-of-four was the secret weapon in the fight to end affirmative action in college admissions — leading to the Supreme Court’s blockbuster decision to outlaw controversial, race-based acceptance policies.
The landmark June ruling — spearheaded by conservative activist Edward Blum and his Students for Fair Admissions group — ended decades of precedent that had allowed schools to take race into consideration when deciding who to accept.
The decision also ended Blum’s years-long fight against affirmative action, which he argued discriminated against Asian-American and white students.

It’s a ridiculous story that the liberal media is obsessed with though no one cares enough about it. Only the most ardent progressives think these stories will oust Justice Clarence Thomas from the Supreme Court. It won’t. The narrative's core is that Clarence Thomas is an evil man for going on vacation. Yes, a black man went on vacation—this is the scandal of the century.Since April, the Left has been clamoring for impeachment hearings over these vacations with Thomas’ uber-wealthy friends, which Leah wrote about last spring. Also, judges don’t have to disclose gifts from personal friends, so this was a nothing burger out of the gate:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and his presidential campaign over the weekend attempted to clarify comments he made to a reporter when he said that Republicans cannot be “listless vessels.”
DeSantis made the comments in an interview published Friday by the Florida Standard, an online politics outlet that describes itself as center-right.
“The movement has got to be about what are you trying to achieve on behalf of the American people,” he said in the interview. “And that’s got to be based in principle. Because if you’re not rooted in principle,

President Joe Biden is preparing to blanket the airwaves with a $25 million television and digital ad campaign in battleground states this month as Republicans are set to face off in their first presidential primary debate.
The first minute-long ad, titled “Fought Back,” which was first obtained by CNN, has an economic focus, marking the campaign’s latest effort to improve voter perceptions about Biden’s handling of the economy. It also makes explicit reference to Biden’s predecessor, former President Donald Trump, as Democrats attempt to tie GOP candidates at this week’s debate to Trump’s “MAGA agenda.”

J6 political prisoner Zachary Rehl is no longer able to afford a private attorney without assistance from the American people.
The government is seeking 30 years in federal prison for Rehl, the head of the Philadelphia chapter of the Proud Boys, for “his role in the Capitol riot.”
Rehl committed no violent crimes on January 6. He walked through the Capitol building on January 6 for merely a few minutes, took a selfie in the building then left the Capitol grounds.
Prosecutors argue the 37-year-old Marine Corps veteran and his allies, former Proud Boys chair Enrique Tarrio, 39, Joseph Biggs. 39, and Ethan Nordean, 33, aimed to foment a revolution
