Governor Chris Sununu (R-NH) said Monday on CNN’s “Inside Politics” that former President Donald Trump can not win the presidential election in November 2024 because his ceiling of popularity is at 45%.
Sununu said, “So one of the key points of that poll showed that about a third of Trump supporters would consider somebody else. When you look at the favorable/unfavorable of all the different candidates DeSantis is better than former President Trump, Tim Scott has strong numbers. Other candidates are showing strong numbers.”
He continued, “I think we all agree the former president’s floor is high, 32, 33, 34%, but his ceiling is also very low. Realistically

Hawaii Democrat Governor Josh Green took to “Face the Nation” Sunday to agree with host Margaret Brennan’s assertion that climate change “amplified” Maui’s horrific wildfires. However, there were multiple failures on many fronts by authorities, including warning sirens that didn’t go off, delays of much-needed water because of “equity concerns,” negligence by a power company, and disaster officials who had no experience in emergency management. Green: "GOVERNOR JOSH GREEN: So it's usually tsunamis and hurricanes [that are a danger to Hawaii]. For perspective, we've had six fire emergencies this August. We had six fire emergencies between 1953 and 2003. That's how -- how fast things are changing.

A giant, sucking sound is coming out of Wall Street — and it’s siphoning staggering sums of money out of the Big Apple while handing business to Florida and other states farther south.
Nearly 160 Wall Street firms have moved their headquarters out of New York since the end of 2019, taking nearly $1 trillion — yes, that’s trillion with a “T” — in assets under management with them, according to data from 17,000 companies compiled by Bloomberg. (Snip) Last year, financial firms paid $5.4 billion in New York taxes and accounted for nearly a quarter of all personal income tax collections

Fox News reportedly informed the Trump campaign on Monday that surrogates for the former president will not be allowed to attend the first Republican primary debate. The barring of Trump surrogates from attending Wednesday’s debate at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee comes one day after the 77-year-old former president confirmed that he would not participate in the event, which will be aired on Fox News, CNN’s Alayna Treene reported on Monday. The ex-commander-in-chief’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., had said Monday that he would be attending the showdown as a surrogate for his father. His fiancée, Kimberly Guilfoyle, was also

Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc.’s stock tumbled 22% Tuesday, after the retailer’s second-quarter profit missed consensus by a wide margin, while sales also fell short., and the company squarely blamed theft for its woes.
It was the company’s first earnings miss in three years. The last time Dick’s missed profit and sales consensus was in April of 2020, when it was reporting first-quarter earnings for that year.
“While we posted another double-digit EBT margin, our Q2 profitability was short of our expectations due in large part to the impact of elevated inventory shrink, an increasingly serious issue impacting many retailers,” said CEO Lauren Hobart in a statement.

Former President Donald Trump is displaying his "sense of entitlement" by deciding to not participate in the 2024 GOP presidential primary debates, according to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Trump announced in a Truth Social post on Sunday that he would "not be doing" any of the Republican debates, while boasting that "the public knows who I am & what a successful Presidency I had." The former president previously indicated that he would be skipping the first debate, which is set to take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Wednesday.
The decision to skip the debates quickly drew condemnation from Trump critics

Dozens of Iranian drones and speedboats swarming two US Navy ships near the Persian Gulf after Washington sent them in to deal with Iran's renewed threat against one of the world's most important waterways, dramatic new footage has revealed.
Iran's navy sent the small vessels to confront the USS Bataan and the USS Carter Hall in the fraught Strait of Hormuz, which sits between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, according to a video published on Saturday.
The speedboats were manned with armed soldiers from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and came within inches of the ships, while drones also taunted the ships and

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) and his presidential campaign over the weekend attempted to clarify comments he made to a reporter when he said that Republicans cannot be “listless vessels.”
DeSantis made the comments in an interview published Friday by the Florida Standard, an online politics outlet that describes itself as center-right.
“The movement has got to be about what are you trying to achieve on behalf of the American people,” he said in the interview. “And that’s got to be based in principle. Because if you’re not rooted in principle,

Left-wing activist and Harvard prodigy David Hogg said he would "much rather own a Porsche and have a Portuguese water dog and golden doodle" than have children because it's "better for the environment," comments that reflect a broad consensus among college-educated liberals whose mental health has markedly declined since 2016. "I'm never planning on having kids," Hogg wrote in a bizarre Twitter thread. Congressional investigators claim to have strong evidence that President Joe Biden and his family received a staggering $20 million or more in payments from foreign sources while he served as vice president under Barack Obama. If proven true, two-thirds of Americans say that Biden should either resign or be impeached, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll indicates.
The accusation of possible bribery is serious. And a key House investigative panel says it has evidence, mostly bank statements, to back up claims that Biden took money from oligarchs in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
“The tally of foreign money to the Biden family has hit at least $20 million,

As RedState reported, President Joe Biden finally made it to Maui, having left his second vacation of the month to make a half-day trip to the island. That comes after devastating fires left over a hundred people confirmed dead with nearly a thousand still missing, including what is assumed to be many children.
From the moment Biden touched down, it was apparent that he wasn't taking the situation seriously (if he even knew why he was there), and once he started to speak, things only got worse.
In his first public appearance, the president decided to joke about how hot the ground was. He also brought up the death
