Nothing defines the disastrous Biden presidency more than the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. It’s been two years since that watershed moment, which sent Joe Biden’s approval ratings underwater for the first time in his presidency, and that’s where they have remained ever since. Biden, desperate for a 9/11 anniversary photo op, ignored the advice of his military advisors and lied about the situation on the ground in order to push ahead with a withdrawal that quickly descended into chaos, left 13 U.S. service members dead, and resulted in the government falling, the Taliban taking over, and billions in military equipment and weapons abandoned.

Firefighters have had more than 100 years to perfect the art of putting out a fire involving a vehicle with a gas motor engine. But those traditional tactics don't work on electric vehicles because they use lithium ion batteries to run instead of gas. Lithium

Georgia’s leading elected state officials, who are Republicans, reacted Tuesday to Monday’s late-night indictment of former President Donald Trump and 18 other lawyers, aides, and supporters by reiterating that there was no voter fraud in 2020. Gov. Brian Kemp (R) posted a tweet in response to a Truth Social post by the former president. Kemp did not object to the indictment — which critics have said violates constitutional norms and criminalizes free speech — but to Trump’s 2020 claims.

I’ll be the first in line to buy that brand back from you, and we’ll make that brand great again.” While appearing on Tomi Lahren is Fearless, Busch explained how disheartening it has been to watch the beer brand, which was so much a part of his childhood, lose its legacy of valuing its customers and employees.

Alone in a new country with young children and no access to work, migrant mothers told CBS News they're worried about the food available for their families in the New York City shelters. Three migrant women living in the shelters, Angelica, Osranary and Michelle, were in agreement when asked about their thoughts on the food, saying it's "not good." Osranary, who arrived about a month ago, said most of the food they're given is pasta and salad, which isn't always appropriate for young children. Angelica, who arrived with her family in New York three months ago, said certain foods her

Fani Willis, the district attorney in Fulton County, Ga, charged former President Donald Trump and 18 colleagues with racketeering under Georgia's RICO law. The charge is that he conspired with them to overturn the 2020 Georgia presidential election results. Experienced lawyers, such as those at Bochetto & Lentz, a law firm that says it specializes in "messy, complicated, high-pressure, and high-stakes cases," highlight the benefits of using RICO statutes, which enable prosecutors to tie numerous crimes into one case, even if they have covered an extensive period. The person who didn't "pull the trigger, set a fire, or commit a burglary" can be charged under RICO laws.

A group of far-left lawmakers has introduced yet another bill to soak the rich. The new bill is called the Oppose Limitless Inequality Growth and Reverse Community Harms Act — the OLIGARCH Act, get it? It would introduce an entirely new tax on wealth above $120 million, starting at 2% and climbing to 8%. This new tax would be in addition to the income tax. Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) claims the legislation is designed to “tax extreme wealth, reduce inequality, and combat the threat to democracy posed by aristocracy.” But it would more accurately be described as

Ron DeSantis stated that the question in the wake of the indictments of his 2024 rival, former President Donald Trump is how we’ll respond and end weaponized government. DeSantis said that while he has removed Soros-backed prosecutors in Florida, Trump “had three years to fire Christopher Wray” and didn’t, let former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “off the hook.” And “The swamp got worse in his four years.”

For the first time in history, overall viewership of cable TV dropped below 30 percent in July. (snip) For going on 40 years, cable-satellite TV has been the one-legged stool keeping Hollywood in business. Instead of Americans paying to view something specific, we were paying $150 a month for a giant package of entertainment we never watched. And because we paid for and subsidized channels we never watched through our cable bill, Hollywood could afford to keep basement-rated, left-wing propaganda networks like CNN, the Disney Channel, the Comedy Channel, MTV, etc., operational. You might not watch those outlets but you fund them if you pay for cable TV.

On July 7, 1919, the U.S. Army embarked on an experiment: It sent a motorized convoy of 81 trucks, staff cars, and scout motorcycles across the country, in part to see how it would go and in part to argue for a system of national roads. It took them 62 days to drive from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco. The convoy more or less traveled the route of the Lincoln Highway, a mostly aspirational national road assembled by a private organization funded by car and tire companies. Never in the 235 years since the ratification of the Constitution has an administration premeditatively and blatantly prosecuted, on specious and conjecturable charges, the titular leader of the opposition party and leading candidate for president. And doing so while overtly flaunting their egregious actions to protect and cover-up for the incumbent president who has been exposed as potentially complicit in massive bribery and fraud. In any previous election cycle, these overt and unabashed actions would have been the death knell for the incumbent president’s campaign and his party.

Four cardinal rules of politics: 1) don’t change your opponent’s soiled diapers; 2) scandals possess short half-lives; 3) don’t strike before having the votes; 4) play your best cards last. Political change occurs glacially. Those lacking necessary patience stymie those who comprehend politics’ rules. Conservatives braying for Biden’s head have no idea how to effectuate political objectives. This same mindset -- wisely opposed by Chief Justice Rehnquist -- demanded Bill Clinton be impeached. What did that accomplish? How did the nation benefit in terms of lasting impacts on economics, foreign affairs, or legislative action? (Bush 43 would have subsequently been elected anyway, for other reasons.)

District Court Judge Kathy Seeley ruled in favor of several young plaintiffs – ranging in age from 5 to 22 – saying they “have a fundamental constitutional right to a clean and healthful environment, which includes climate as part of the environmental-support system.” As proof of the harm the plaintiffs are suffering, the order has a list of horribles that includes:
