The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals concluded on Wednesday that the abortion pill mifepristone should remain on the market but that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration went too far when it relaxed restrictions on the drug in 2016 and made the pills available via mail in 2021.

Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis has proposed that the trial in the 2020 election case against former president Donald Trump and 18 co-defendants begin on March 4, 2024.
Willis has also requested that the defendants be arraigned the week of September 5.

The Fulton County Clerk of Courts admitted to accidentally releasing the fourth indictment on former President Donald Trump. She said she pressed send instead of save on the document. "I am human," Ché Alexander told Channel 2's Tom Jones on Tuesday. She was apparently under a lot of pressure to make sure the process went smoothly and made the oncoming indictment public. Ohio Rep. Max Miller clashed with Rep. Ilhan Omar Tuesday night after the Republican congressman called a post "bigoted" for promoting Christianity as the only true religion. Miller sparked the confrontation after taking issue with a former Ohio GOP employee Lizzie Marbach, who posted to social media, "There's no hope for any of us outside of having faith in Jesus Christ alone."

Monday’s indictment of Donald Trump in Fulton County, Ga., was just the latest in a long line of legal troubles for the former president. District Attorney Fani Willis announced the charges at a late-night press conference with an intensity that bordered on vehemence.
Willis and Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat have relished their chance to get their man. Labat told reporters that the county would “have mugshots ready” for Trump and presumably the other 18 defendants in the indictment. There’s no doubt that Willis and Labat are milking this indictment for all its worth.

A new court document revealed Special Counsel Jack Smith obtained access to Donald Trump's Twitter account - including private messages and draft tweets - after securing a secret search warrant amid his investigations into the former president.

Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows filed a motion on Tuesday to remove the Fulton County, Georgia, indictment against him to federal court.
Meadows was charged with two counts in a 41-count indictment that named himself, former President Donald Trump, and 17 others. Meadows is being charged under Georgia’s RICO statute and faces charges for soliciting an official to violate their oath of office.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis cites Meadow’s involvement in setting up calls between Trump and various state legislators as evidence of his violation of state law, conduct that primarily falls under the duties of chief of staff, as Meadows’ attorneys noted.
Three Republican congressmen introduced a bill Tuesday to repeal the D.C. Home Rule Act, an effort that would remove the Washington, D.C., mayor and council, granting all governing authority in the District to Congress.
The bill, which is not likely to pass, was introduced by Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) and cosponsored by Reps. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.) and Byron Donalds (R-Fla.). Ogles said the bill is an attempt to exert authority over the District as Republicans focus on crime policy.
