After sales dropped for the sixth straight week, industry analysts are likening the backlash to Bud Light’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to what happened in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina.
"This could be a promotional summer the likes we haven’t seen since after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, where there was so much beer inventory backed up in the trade that it initiated the price war of all price wars," Beer Business Daily said, explaining that "large price wars are often sparked by external events—in that case Hurricane Katrina, and in this case Hurricane Mulvaney."
But the “external event” in 2023 is only hitting one company,

What Budweiser and probably Target don't realize is that this is NOT a boycott. Their customer base has simply found products that they like more and will continue to prefer. Shorten your sales force Bud. You don't need them anymore.

I quit drinking this flavored water years ago, so I can't boycott.
Between this and the target fiasco, maybe the "woke" leaders of companies will get a clue. Us NORMAL people are getting fed up with having homosexual and tranny crap shoved in our faces at every turn. You can't watch a TV show or "news" show or commercial without having some prominent gay or trans person featured, and if you voice any discontent with having that crap front and center everywhere you are branded a "hater". And with "Pride" month the "news" will be overflowing with admiring stories about "pride" festivals and parades.
Enough of that swill. I have quit or avoided watching several TV shows because I don't want this bilge forced into my "entertainment" all the freekin time.

Years from now, this Bud Lite debacle will be studied in business classes as how NOT to run a company.

I know people are gonna jump all over this but Bud Lite is also not a very good product
Even by flavorless American beer standards, it’s watery stuff
So it wouldn’t take much to get people to drink something else

Good news. I think a large number of people are finally sick and tired of this "trans" literal insanity.
These people are obviously mentally deranged and everyone knows that you CANNOT become the opposite sex, you can only pretend at various levels of craziness.

I don't think a price war will happen, but Bud Lite will have to eat a big loss. After those hurricanes, all brands were affected. Now only one brand is affected. BL may have to resort to paying people to drink it, at least for a while.

And yet so many other companies are doubling down on Budweisers stupidity. Why? What are they being threatened with that is worse than bankruptcy? Something is going on.

AB and the rest are betting that people will come back after the hoorah dies down. They won't. At least I won't. Insult me like this once and I will never be back.

I can’t boycott Bud Light, either, as it is swill, but I sure can (and did) eliminate Stella another AB brand and my wife eliminated Michelob Ultra.
Tar-gay is overpriced, so that’s an easy one.

As to what is driving this Pervert poison... #9's question.
My understanding is that some financial firms that control a LOT (as in Trillion$) in pension funds (Blackrock has been mentioned in particular) are pushing what they call an 'ESG Score', and to 'score' well, companies have to push the Pervert feces.
Everyone with a retirement account.... check to see who manages that account, and see if that management firm is pushing 'ESG'. If they are, MOVE your money to a better firm!

Blackrock is evil. Also, Fitch, one of the Big Three credit rating services, is on board with ESG and DEI.

Biting the hand that feeds you is rarely a workable strategy. Maybe if an apology was offered instead of more deceptive marketing, the bleeding would slow down.

You are correct, #6. Bud Lite was developed way back when beer companies were attempting to draw in females so they all hurriedly developed a light beer that had no taste and very little kick. They are mostly all the same with a few exceptions but this marketing disaster was caused by the in-your-face tranny campaign.

Nope. Fifteen cents a can is till too much. They can't even pour it back in the Clydesdales. Now there is the loss. Those marvelous horses in the barn (not the horses's arses in the office building).

The rocket scientists at A-B will probably print a few million labels of "Macho Beer", glue it on all the Bud Lite bottles and cans, and declare the problem solved.
