After sales dropped for the sixth straight week, industry analysts are likening the backlash to Bud Light’s partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney to what happened in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina.
"This could be a promotional summer the likes we haven’t seen since after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, where there was so much beer inventory backed up in the trade that it initiated the price war of all price wars," Beer Business Daily said, explaining that "large price wars are often sparked by external events—in that case Hurricane Katrina, and in this case Hurricane Mulvaney."
But the “external event” in 2023 is only hitting one company,

Hey, does anyone know if they sell Bud Light at Target? I need to make a beer run.
But seriously folks, consumers who are not particularly rainbow-minded will run out of places to shop if this keeps up. Either more stores are betting on their ESG scores over consumer traffic or people are just getting more attuned to the prevalence of the new normal not only in society but also in retail. Shoppers can add Kohl’s to the list of entities where they would never be caught dead, right behind Bud Light, the Dodgers, and Target.

The father of a high school girl who lost a skiing competition to a boy claiming to be a transgender girl is speaking out.
Male-born student June Watterson won a ski competition and ranked number one in the High School State Champions women’s slalom race on March 6 at the California-Nevada Interscholastic Ski & Snowboard Federation (CNISSF) state finals. But one father was not at all happy about the big win.
Watterson, a sophomore at Davis Senior High School, won first place in the women’s heat with a combined result of 1:08.29 – beating Carlie Chandler, who came second, by 17 seconds, according to the Daily Mail.

As a Marine with four years to go until retirement in 1994, I disembarked with others from the USS Belleau Wood (LHA-3) onto a landing craft waiting to take our group about a half-mile north across the Pacific Ocean toward the Island Iwo Jima. We were there to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
As we made our way through the Pacific toward the southern edge of the island, it was all but impossible to grasp the fact that we were taking the same route, in a similar landing craft, that American troops took during the Battle of Iwo Jima.

Every month, bodies with female sex organs prepare for pregnancy,” says a 22-page booklet, entitled “Puberty and Confidence Guide for Everyone” published by the manufacturer of feminine hygiene products Always.
Throughout the booklet, the manufacturer refuses to mention the actual target audience of information: girls and women. Instead, Always substitutes the phrase “bodies with female sex organs.” [Tweet]
This isn’t the first time that Always has genuflected to the woke mob. In 2019, the company removed the “Venus” symbol from its products, and you’re not going to believe the rationale they used.

A Chicago beach was closed hours after it opened for the summer season when shots were fired during a large brawl on Friday, according to police.
The fight broke out among a group of 80 to 100 teenagers at North Avenue Beach around 1:30 p.m., police said.
During the fracas, someone pulled out a gun and fired a shot, Fox 32 reported.
Fortunately, no one was struck. A juvenile was taken into police custody.
The weapon has not been recovered, cops said.
The beach was temporarily shut down as police investigated.

Yulia Hicks, a child who was reportedly denied a kidney transplant by Duke Children’s Hospital last year, underwent a successful, life-saving kidney transplant at ECUHealth Medical Center on Thursday.
The North Carolina-based hospital stepped up to help Yulia, who has a genetic kidney disorder that requires a transplant, after her family said last year that Duke was refusing to put the teen on its kidney wait-list because she is unvaccinated against COVID. Notably, the family says Yulia had already recovered from the virus, but such information was unimportant to Duke Children’s Hospital.
Yulia was sent back for surgery at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, and is currently recovering in the pediatric ICU,

The late British author Beatrix Potter is being accused of stealing the stories for her Peter Rabbit books from slaves in America, with a woke literature professor saying Potter is guilty of the “appropriation” of black culture.
In a recent essay, Emily Zobel Marshall, who teaches postcolonial literature at Leeds Beckett university in England, claimed Beatrix Potter ripped off the oral “Br’er Rabbit” folk tales told by slaves working on southern plantations. In addition, she accuses Potter of deliberately hiding the “sources” of her literary inspiration. [Tweet]

The House Weaponization Committee shone a big bright light on a concerning action by Bank of America that should concern all Americans. Now, the House GOP is taking action.
On Thursday, the House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) said they would be investigating what they’d learned from whistleblower testimony — how Bank of America, without any legal process from the FBI, turned over to the FBI a list of all its customers who purchased anything within the neighborhood of the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area between Jan. 5 and Jan. 7, 2021. That means they turned over the private information

Over half of Americans believe former President Trump was the center of a politically-motivated hoax over allegations that his campaign colluded with Russia.
Following the release of Special Counsel John Durham's report on the origins of Russia-gate, a Rasmussen poll found that 63 percent of Americans believe the Russia smear was a "hit job" against Trump orchestrated by Hillary Clinton's campaign.
Jokes on the Democratic Party because Trump won the 2016 presidential election in a landslide despite allegations that could have destroyed him.
The poll also found that 59 percent of Americans want the FBI agents involved in the Trump-Russia investigation to be prosecuted for their actions.

For the last, oh, I don’t know… forever… ranchers and farmers large and small have taken care of their livestock with antibiotics and antimicrobials that were available at farm stores. These medicines treat common illnesses and infections that people who own large animals and livestock are very familiar with and qualified to treat. They have been trusted to do so for as long as these medicines have been available. The first chicken antibiotics were introduced in 1948. Since then, there has been no call nor reason to regulate these items. Many farmers and ranchers tend to many of their animals’ veterinary needs,

Representative Jerry Nadler (D-NY) sure seems carefree about World War III potentially starting over Ukraine.
On Thursday, a reporter caught up with the septuagenarian, who promptly spilled the beans that he would not care whatsoever if Ukraine invaded Russia, let alone if they did so with U.S.-supplied weapons.
“Are you concerned that they will enter into Russian territory?” The Epoch Times’ Liam Cosgrove said of Ukraine.
“I’m not concerned. I wouldn’t care if they did,” Nadler said.
After the reporter explained that Russia could view this as a U.S.-backed invasion of Russia, the congressman was dismissive and even smirked about the intensification of the war.

Excellent.
