Alternate headline: Pottery Barn rules apply to walkouts. In an 8-1 decision in which only Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson fully dissented, the Supreme Court ruled today that unions have to reimburse employers for damages caused by striking workers. The National Labor Relations Act does not confer immunity to unions or workers — the latest ruling from a court that has stiffened the boundaries for labor activities in the last few years:
The Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that federal labor law did not protect a union from potential liability for damage that arose during a strike, and that a state court should resolve questions of liability.
The majority found that if accusations

Unions should not be allowed to exist in government. Just for the reason they could shut down the government if they chose. I remember Reagan throwing out the traffic controller when they went on strike.

On August 5, 1981 an angry President Reagan carried out his threat, and the federal government began firing the 11,359 air-traffic controllers who had not returned to work. In addition, he declared a lifetime ban on the rehiring of the strikers by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). On August 17, the FAA began accepting applications for new air-traffic controllers, and on October 22 the Federal Labor Relations Authority decertified PATCO.

Good news. Unions get away with a heck of a lot of bad stuff.

Ketanji going full leftist on them, as expected. Just another example of Biden lunacy.

#2, I remember that very clearly. At Mountain Home AFB Idaho at the time; fortunately with great sunny VFR weather 95% of the time. Would climb to 17,500 feet, just below the Positive Control Airspace of 18000 for cruise to/from whatever chunk of airspace or low-level route we were using that day. Our Approach Control and towers were manned by military folks. A lot of military controllers were sent TDY to civilian towers, RAPCONs and Centers all over the country to man their facilities until the new hires were trained up.
Reagan was about 6 months into his first term. This set the tone and it worked well. The Deep State wasn't quite so deep then, I guess.

Just what this Country is more Ketanji Brown Jackson's and her lack of knowledge about what the Constitution stands for.
She NEVER should have gotten out of the hearing on her acceptability to be a lower court judge, let alone a Supreme.
The LIBERAL Dems all have their heads way up somewhere were deductive reasoning comes into play.
My opinion; not only cannot the liberal mind reason, but their minds will not even try to reason.

I very seriously doubt that KBJ was someone that Biden picked out. No doubt she was another pick of Barack Obama like so many of Bidens cabinet members.

This was a setup by the union and its members to intimidate and damage the employer. It was justly decided. When every Justice, including the liberals, vote the same way except for Jackson that just tells you she doesn’t understand the law.

Well if the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats ever manage to get four or five more Ketanji Brown Jackson thinking Justices on the US Supreme Court, this country in short order through the current DC “UniParty System” would be transformed into some sort of undefined one political party run social utopia. You can safely bet on that!

There should be a way to remove a justice for incompetence, stupidity, or mental illness.
KGB qualifies on all three points.

#3: my aunt was one of those controllers and getting fired gob-smacked her. She thought as a federal employee she was guaranteed a job for life no matter what.
When she came over to cry on Dad's shoulder, I excused myself, went into the back yard, and had a good laugh.

In the world of Affirmative Action Jackson accountability and personal responsibility are alien concepts.
