Elon Musk’s vision for the internet
is dangerous nonsense

The Russian people know little about Putin’s war on Ukraine because Putin has blocked their access to the truth, substituting propaganda and lies.
Years ago, pundits assumed the internet would open a new era of democracy, giving everyone access to the truth. But dictators like Putin and demagogues like Trump have demonstrated how naive that assumption was.
At least the US responded to Trump’s lies. Trump had 88 million Twitter followers before Twitter took him off its platform – just two days after the attack on the Capitol, which he provoked, in part, with his tweets. (Trump’s social media accounts were also suspended on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitch and TikTok

Let's face it, Robert Reich had a very small brain to start with. But his Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) from letting President Trump live rent-free in his head 24/7/365 these last 6 years has pretty much destroyed the few working brain cells he still had left.
All I feel for this loser is pity!!!

Commie Reich writing in the Communist paper Guardian.
Yeah, now that's a really important thing to read......NOT.
Reich is very much in favor of controlling what people get to read, and making sure that they don't get access to "misinformation" - like dangerous misinformation about the Constitution intending everyone to be able to "keep and bear arms", or the misinformation that "Congress shall make no law .....abridging the freedom of speech".

Musk's plan is pure business, neither politics nor censoring.
Buy enough stock to prohibit such censoring and thereby increase the value of Twitter stock. Unlike Twitter's current management, he will not put censoring ahead of best business practices. He sees this as a golden business opportunity.

Let's see, he's essentially saying he supports censorship and restrictions on freedom of speech.
And, in order to have misinformation, you're either saying there is only 1 set of information and it's what the government entities have stated is the official information to be issued.
What he proposes is one set of thought, one acceptable conversation, and against any contrary information or thought.
Group-think.

So Twitter and the other authoritarian outlets ganged together to prevent Trump from telling us that the voting in the swing states was corrupt? And the internet works best when those who consider themselves our betters are allowed to control what we see and hear? Does this person realize how asinine he makes himself appear? Apparently not.
And meanwhile, state level investigations are showing us that the voting process was corrupt. Governors and voting commissions altered the process without any constitutional authority whatsoever. States used voting machines known for allowing corrupt voting and tallying processes. Only a state legislature can change voting processes. Governors are excluded from doping so. A truck with over a hundred thousand fake ballots was investigated and then passed thru. Vote harvesting/ballot box stuffing was encouraged.
Robert Reich, you are a disgrace.

How do these morons stand the cacophony of cognitive dissonance that must be echoing on their otherwise empty skulls? I haven"t even read more than the opening paragraph and I am subjected to the most ludicrous double standard imaginable. In a single sentence This MORON excoriates Putin for the horrible crime against humanity of censoring the internet and immediately LAUDS the intellectual lords of our times for CENSORING the Internet.
How do these peoples heads not simply explode with all the contradictory truths they pass of as collected wisdom? I mean do they even have the slightest clue what they are actually saying or must talking points simply exist in a vacumn to be strung together as needed? How is Putins blocking news of the war propoganda While The Silicon elites blocking of news of their political rivals a sacred act in protection of "The Truth"?

What Reich is hand wringing over is precisely what the Democrats have been doing for decades. In their world ‘truth’ is what they believe in and everything else is propaganda, or their new invention ‘misinformation’. This article is laughable, but predictable. They have zero self awareness.

The writer of this diatribe is not very thoughtful. First of all, Trump explicitly told his crowd to stay outside the Capitol and stay calm. ANTIFA, BLM and the FBI et al infiltrated the crowd and encouraged them to enter a public building. Biden lost the election. Democrats have been stealing elections since time began. Check out, Boss Hog, the Irish mafias in NYC and Chicago for openers. Twitter cancels people who don't go along with their narrative along with their co-conspirators Facebook, You Tube and Instagram. Time to become Luddites and knockdown these Internet bullies.

Typical Guardian garbage. Leftwing "fact checkers" that are, in fact, propaganda validators demonstrated how naive that assumption was. The democracy online is, at best, mob rule. And the Left have shown more comfort using it to gaslight the world, than to ensure the truth gets out.
