Why global warming is good for us

Original Article

Posted By: Beardo, 2/16/2022 1:18:38 AM

Global warming is real. It is also – so far – mostly beneficial. This startling fact is kept from the public by a determined effort on the part of alarmists and their media allies who are determined to use the language of crisis and emergency. The goal of Net Zero emissions in the UK by 2050 is controversial enough as a policy because of the pain it is causing. But what if that pain is all to prevent something that is not doing net harm? The biggest benefit of emissions is global greening, the increase year after year of green vegetation on the land surface of the planet.

My wife and I have repeatedly commented on the "lushness" of the greenery over the last 10 years and the likely cause of it. REAL scientists would have been all over such an obvious issue but "Green" "scientists" seem to ignore it. This is the most dangerous type of "science"; one with an agenda. That, by definition, makes it political. Anything politicians can use to exert more control, they will gobble up and poison. THAT is the current state of affairs relating to the environment. The REAL solution is to do REAL science and address REAL problems when they arise. There are some and others will come but they are being deliberately ignored because they don't fit the "environmentalist's" narrative. They could be addressed affordably and without extending political power so they have no value to politicians or the "environmental movement" that only values a crisis mentality. One day we may get an accounting of the damage done by the fake environmentalists and their politicians. It will be tragic.

If the globe is warming, it can be verified. That any warming is caused by man's activities cannot be verified any more than can the assertion that Covid vaccines lessen viral symptoms.

Global warming is nonsense, but conservation, energy efficiency, clean living make sense and life more enjoyable. We could do without the scolding that goes along with it.

There were always two critical questions associated with global warming. The first was "Is the planet warming?" and the second "If the planet is warming, will the change be bad or good?". Among the power-hungry, an objective examination of the second question never happened. Instead, they jumped into hysteria mode. "Change is bad!" has been their cry, and no sober data assessment has been able to chink their armor.

Funny how the tree huggers are all in on this global warming BS. These same people who claim the earth is warming because of human activity, are the same people planning trips south for the winter and get all excited about spring and the arrival of warmer weather.

It is very much in the air now, with a deep hope on one side and a grim resignation on the other, that the holding in Roe v. Wade will not survive this year. (snip) It all came down to this: If a woman is pregnant, something is alive and growing. If it is alive and not a tumor, it is a human being from its first moments; it has never been a part of the mother’s body. From that point forward, reason alone should have reminded us that the laws of homicide have ever been indifferent to the size and age of the victim.

A Florida woman has been accused of using a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan to pay a hitman to murder her rival. Law enforcement officials in Miami say Jasmine Martinez, 33, used part of a $15,000 PPP loan to pay a hitman who allegedly shot and killed Le’Shonte Jones, 24, in front of her apartment home in May of 2021. Martinez reportedly withdrew $10,000 from her bank account only days before the shooting. Stories of PPP loan fraud have peppered the news over the last two years, with most offenses being of the shopping spree variety and seemingly none as dastardly as this case.

Late yesterday, Michael Sussmann filed a response to John Durham’s Friday court filing that set off a media buzz over the criminal case against the former Hillary Clinton campaign attorney. In the six-page memo filed in the D.C. federal court, Sussmann’s Latham and Watkins attorneys informed the court they had previously advised the special counsel that Sussman understood his right to consult with independent counsel and intended to waive any potential conflicts of interest. Sussmann’s filing added that he does not oppose Durham’s request that he waive those issues on the record. Sussmann then spent the next five pages complaining about the special counsel’s filing.

In the U.S. alone, the number of people who have died with COVID-19 exceeded 900,000 this month and the number is increasing all the time. Around the world, the death toll is over 5.8 million according to the World Health Organization (WHO), though some estimates of excess mortality—a measure comparing all deaths recorded with those expected to occur—have put that figure close to 20 million. What this means is that burial facilities have faced unprecedented pressure as they attempt to allocate space and resources to store the bodies
