The death of a 16-year-old Burger King employee in Milwaukee earlier this month was the result of a botched plan for a “staged” armed robbery, according to authorities.
Arrested in the case is suspect Antoine Edwards, 41, who has been charged with felony murder, among other offenses, and his 16-year-old daughter, who was a co-worker of the girl who died, reports said.
Edwards allegedly coordinated the plan with his daughter and the victim, Niesha Harris-Brazell, to rob the Burger King where the girls worked on Jan. 2, FOX 6 of Milwaukee reported.

A Florida woman has been accused of using a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan to pay a hitman to murder her rival.
Law enforcement officials in Miami say Jasmine Martinez, 33, used part of a $15,000 PPP loan to pay a hitman who allegedly shot and killed Le’Shonte Jones, 24, in front of her apartment home in May of 2021. Martinez reportedly withdrew $10,000 from her bank account only days before the shooting. Stories of PPP loan fraud have peppered the news over the last two years, with most offenses being of the shopping spree variety and seemingly none as dastardly as this case.

Global warming is real. It is also – so far – mostly beneficial. This startling fact is kept from the public by a determined effort on the part of alarmists and their media allies who are determined to use the language of crisis and emergency. The goal of Net Zero emissions in the UK by 2050 is controversial enough as a policy because of the pain it is causing. But what if that pain is all to prevent something that is not doing net harm? The biggest benefit of emissions is global greening, the increase year after year of green vegetation on the land surface of the planet.

Late yesterday, Michael Sussmann filed a response to John Durham’s Friday court filing that set off a media buzz over the criminal case against the former Hillary Clinton campaign attorney.
In the six-page memo filed in the D.C. federal court, Sussmann’s Latham and Watkins attorneys informed the court they had previously advised the special counsel that Sussman understood his right to consult with independent counsel and intended to waive any potential conflicts of interest. Sussmann’s filing added that he does not oppose Durham’s request that he waive those issues on the record.
Sussmann then spent the next five pages complaining about the special counsel’s filing.

Prince Andrew has reached a legal agreement that include(s) an undisclosed settle(ment) with a woman who has accused him in court of sexually abusing her as a teen, according to news reports Tuesday. The settlement with plaintiff Virginia Giuffre will reportedly lead to a dismissal in the case being brought in Manhattan federal court.
Giuffre and Andrew will file a stipulation to dismiss the case inside of the next month, according to court papers filed on Tuesday.
An unsigned letter included in the settlement filing acknowledged Giuffre has suffered for years as a result of being trafficked by the late Jeffrey Epstein, with whom Andrew consorted for years.

With the entire Russiagate affair exposed as a Clinton campaign fabrication, it’s the clear duty of The Washington Post and New York Times to give back the Pulitzers they won for “reporting” the fake news. (snip) Their Pulitzer awards say the papers “dramatically furthered the nation’s understanding of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and its connections to the Trump campaign.” Now everyone knows they only “dramatically furthered” a smear.
Show a shred of decency, and give your Pulitzers back.

If you were to watch CNN, the former cable news network’s biggest story about Hillary Clinton is that she’s selling a $32 baseball cap with “But Her Emails Hat” stitched on it pink as a “dad hat”.
Unlike Jeffrey Epstein and Vince Foster, Hillary and CNN’s credibility really did kill themselves.
Compared to Uranium One, the Lincoln Bedroom, and the State Department, this lame meme may be the least offensive thing that Vince Foster’s former boss ever sold at a markup..

Practicing Catholics in the United States, like everyone else over the past two years, have experienced a severe disruption of their communal life. (snip) If even your bishop indicates that your sacramental obligations can be dispensed with indefinitely on account of a virus—while “essential businesses” like weed shops, liquor stores, and big-box retailers remain in operation—it tends to affect people’s perception of what truly is “essential” in the practice of their faith.

Yesterday, I wrote a post detailing what was in Special Prosecutor John Durham’s latest filing, a seemingly innocuous motion that contained within it the allegation that Rodney Joffe, a tech executive, at the behest of Hillary Clinton’s campaign, spied on Trump, both in Trump Tower and his apartment and, later, in the White House. However, my cynicism is such that I doubted this would actually come to anything. Mark Wauck, a retired counter-intelligence special agent for the FBI is more optimistic.

Pro Football Hall of Famer John Riggins has demanded that his name be taken off of the new Washington Commanders jerseys, saying that he felt "dirty" seeing his name on a team jersey that wasn't his own.
"I feel completely disenfranchised. I can't understand how anyone who once played under the old franchise name could possibly want to be a part of anything to do with the Washington Commanders," Riggins, who was a star rusher for the Washington Redskins in the 1970s and 1980s, said.

Even if we don’t hear much about him anymore, John Durham is still hard at work.(Snip) According to Durham, who is clearly trying to signal at this point that he’s got the goods on a lot of people, Trump was not just spied on. Rather, he was actually spied on while president by outside allies of Perkins Coie, from Trump Tower to the actual Office of the President. (snip) This blows Watergate out of the water and makes it look like child’s play. (snip) Here you have associates of Hillary Clinton, and allies of the law firm she was contracting to get dirt on Trump, using government channels to spy on him.CORRECTION*
