It's time to take 2022’s Republican
primaries very, very seriously

What’s been even more disheartening than the Democrats’ destructive combination of viciousness and ineptitude has been that Republican congresspeople are supine. Most of them crumble when anyone says “racist” or “January 6.” (snip) You must understand that, by November, it’s too late to get politically involved. If we’re to have a Congress that will stand up to Biden, investigate corruption, and reverse creeping socialism, we must have conservatives on the ballot, rather than whatever RINOs the GOP selects. The battle ends in November but it begins with the primaries.

I have been preaching this since the first time I heard someone say that there could be a "red wave" in November. It is only going to save this republic if that red wave is composed of solid conservative Republicans who will support and defend the Constitution!!! If we get a bunch of RINO Republi-Can'ts elected, they will do what slimy RINO Republi-Can'ts always do -- which is nothing but give the Demon-Rats everything they want in the name of "playing nice". I don't want to play nice with the pure evil of the Demon-Rat Party ever again. I want solid conservative Republicans who will fight as dirty as they have to to save this republic from the road to Hell the Demon-Rats are Hell-bent on steering us down!!!

I think the writer (perhaps unwittingly) identifies a key problem: Mace has the advantages of incumbency and her intra-party conservative opposition is going to be split four ways. That's a ticket to easy renomination (and probably reelection) for Mace. We can bellyache about RINOs all the livelong day, but things will not substantially change until conservatives start playing a smarter brand of politics.

And with at least 30 dim House representatives running for the door, regaining control of the House is the pubbies to lose. The right pubbies are out there. Encourage them to run. They need not be establishment candidates but must be principled, loaded with integrity, be FIRST to set the narrative, and are not afraid to speak up and be heard in the face of today's ridiculous cancel culture. They must be street fighters willing to smack down any dim any time.

I live in Charleston, SC and many of us saw through Mace’s Citadel BS and her Waffle House waitress story and actively campaigned for Kathy Landing, a true conservative. But, here in the Low-Country there is a deep reverence for anything with the Citadel label and, of course, the first female to graduate. Few people knew of her machinations to be the first female graduate and her disregard for service afterwards. Plus, she’s not very smart. Lucky for her she ran against a feckless, empty-suit Democrat. She needs to go and Conservatives need to rally around one strong candidate because Charleston’s gradually turning blue thanks to the northern (liberal) migration.

Primary voters are generally better informed than the public at large. They can (realistically) only vote for those who run...and who are those? Running for office, even at local levels, takes time and a fair investment in money, not to mention volunteers and publicity. Newcomers either spend their own funds or go without the luxury of advertising...news media won't touch them without some revenue coming their direction first. I am currently working a Texas state lege House race. The incumbent is a multi-millionaire willing to spend whatever to flood the district with his ads, from push cards to internet, newspaper and broadcast. The challenger has a budget of a few thousand, largely self-financed because the big money won't roll his way, and local 'Pubbies don't want to cross the incumbent by contributing in any way. Funny how that works. Anyone here running for office? Working for a challenging candidate? Tossing big money at the challenger to fight? Well, that's what it takes...to start.

The primary challengers in Texas are very weak, and unlikely to change any incumbent seats. There is no serious challenge to Greg Abbott. I am voting for Louie Gohmert for Attorney General. Ken Paxton has accomplished nothing.

Last week Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, walked into the British Parliament and made the most consequential statement by a political leader since the fall of the Berlin Wall. This is what Johnson said in part, to the cheers of the assembled parliamentarians: “Next week mandatory [vaccine] certification will end… We will end the compulsory use of Covid status certification in England… From now, the government is no longer asking people to work from home and people should now speak to their employers about arrangements for returning to the office

If you’ve been wondering about the extent of voter fraud in America, we may be seeing a staggering amount of either fraud or grotesque negligence in Wisconsin voter rolls. A review of the state’s voter roles showed that 569,277 voters registered on January 1, 1918. Of that number, 20% of these people, all of whom must be at least 124 years old, voted last November. Biden “won” in Wisconsin by 20,682 votes.... For regular American Thinker readers, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Roughly two weeks ago, Jay Valentine wrote about the extent of fraud he and his team have discovered

Hearing the Department of Justice describe them, one would think that the Oath Keepers are the scariest bunch of anti-American knuckleheads to come down the pike since the Ku Klux Klan. (snip) The Oath Keepers was founded in 2009 by Stewart Rhodes. It is a national, but loosely knit organization, created to resist violations of civil liberties by the government. In 2009, that sounded like conspiracy nut thinking. But since the organization’s founding, we’ve been treated to Crossfire Hurricane, two impeachment show trials, COVID shutdowns, election 2020, and our own government targeting parents as domestic terrorists. What sounded crazy in 2009 sounds prescient in 2022.

Late last year, I got into a discussion with a fellow who was quite sold on the idea that man’s activities were warming the Earth. While not a hardcore ideologue, it was apparent the gentleman had accepted the climate change narrative presented by mainstream media and believed we truly were imperiling the planet. I didn’t say much to him initially, as we were engaged in some recreation, but later on I resurrected the topic and told him I just wanted to pose one question. “What is the ideal average temperature of the Earth”? I asked. It was clear he was without an answer, so I explained my rationale.

If there was any doubt that Joe Biden is unfit for the office of President of the United States, yesterday’s marathon press conference put such qualms to rest. (snip) It did not put anyone’s fear about Biden’s competency at rest. Faux reporters like Yamiche Alcindor and Jennifer Rubin swore Biden performed brilliantly but every rational person watching knew it was a “slow-motion train wreck.” The sad aspect of it all was that one could tell Biden thought he was dazzling his audience. He was, as usual, quick to anger when asked a question that intimated that he was less than the best President ever.

I recently wrote to my United States senator, a Republican Never Trumper, respectfully asking why the January 6th detainees are still in jail, with many still in solitary and not arraigned for what was essentially trespassing on public property (forgetting for the moment the role of FBI instigators). (Incidentally, we should all be writing). His reply saddened me profoundly. I received back a two-page harangue of how horrible January 6th was and how it imperiled our democracy. Buried within that harangue were unexpected admissions about the unconstitutional conditions in which far more prisoners are held than most people realize. Surprisingly enough, these admissions gave me hope.

It’s time for all of us to get back to normal.” Given Biden’s speech and cognition issues, he will most likely actually say ‘My Felericans -- our long natural fair is covered,” but that is beside the point

The CDC has officially moved the goalposts on what it means to be vaccinated from COVID-19. We all knew this day was coming, even as an onslaught of “fact-checkers” assured us it was “misinformation” to assert such a change was coming publicly. But first, let’s talk about the details. CDC Dir. Rochelle Walensky appeared on CBS News and shared the news that the two-dose regiment will no longer suffice to be considered “fully vaccinated.” Instead, you will need a booster jab in order to be classified as “up to date.” That comes as part of a “pivot” in language by the government, one that many were maligned for predicting.

It says both plain-clothed or uniformed police need to keep at least 100 feet from polling stations or drop boxes.
