Who are the Oath Keepers?

Original Article

Hearing the Department of Justice describe them, one would think that the Oath Keepers are the scariest bunch of anti-American knuckleheads to come down the pike since the Ku Klux Klan. (snip) The Oath Keepers was founded in 2009 by Stewart Rhodes. It is a national, but loosely knit organization, created to resist violations of civil liberties by the government. In 2009, that sounded like conspiracy nut thinking. But since the organization’s founding, we’ve been treated to Crossfire Hurricane, two impeachment show trials, COVID shutdowns, election 2020, and our own government targeting parents as domestic terrorists. What sounded crazy in 2009 sounds prescient in 2022.

Is Oath Keepers anything like Promise Keepers? I remember hearing about Christian men's groups that advocated for men living responsible lives rather than abdicating their responsibilities. They taught how men were supposed to take an active responsible role in their families and in their communities. Don't know if this applies to Oath Keepers. Thought it did. If true, the way they are being portrayed by our government and media is completely false.

I wish that when an article mentions the kkk or jim crowe etc, it would give proper attribution to the Dim party. Probably it should be mentioned that the fbi persecuted martin luther king.

Folks out here in Realsville probably know as many Oath Keepers as we do QAnon people and Jan6 rioters. So much these days just seems made up.

Most veterans will try to live up to that oath whether or not they are members of an organization with a domain name.

FTA: The organization’s name is a reference to the oath that all soldiers and law enforcement officers swear -- to defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Every Federal employee swears to defend the Constitution in the oath of office administered prior to starting on the job, from POTUS down to the GS-1 clerk. The vast majority have no understanding of what that entails. One need only look at the FBI...

What is America and beyond to think when the country's leaders do NOT keep THEIR oaths? When existing laws, including Immigration Law, protection of America's sovereign borders and securing citizens' legal votes, are simply brushed aside what can anyone think?

There’s disturbing vaccine data coming

The vaccines are proving to be a constantly moving target. (snip) What if it turns out that they’re not even a therapeutic? What if you get more sick, not less sick, from the vaccination? Data out of Scotland suggests that this is a real possibility: Scottish data shows that the COVID-19 age-standardized case rate is highest among the two-dose vaccinated and lowest among unvaccinated! It further shows this trend of negative efficacy for the double-vaccinated persisting for hospitalizations and deaths. Something is very wrong here, and together with other data points, it raises concerning questions about the negative effect of waning antibodies, constant boosting, and the consequences of a leaky vaccine

Last week Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, walked into the British Parliament and made the most consequential statement by a political leader since the fall of the Berlin Wall. This is what Johnson said in part, to the cheers of the assembled parliamentarians: “Next week mandatory [vaccine] certification will end… We will end the compulsory use of Covid status certification in England… From now, the government is no longer asking people to work from home and people should now speak to their employers about arrangements for returning to the office

If you’ve been wondering about the extent of voter fraud in America, we may be seeing a staggering amount of either fraud or grotesque negligence in Wisconsin voter rolls. A review of the state’s voter roles showed that 569,277 voters registered on January 1, 1918. Of that number, 20% of these people, all of whom must be at least 124 years old, voted last November. Biden “won” in Wisconsin by 20,682 votes.... For regular American Thinker readers, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. What’s been even more disheartening than the Democrats’ destructive combination of viciousness and ineptitude has been that Republican congresspeople are supine. Most of them crumble when anyone says “racist” or “January 6.” (snip) You must understand that, by November, it’s too late to get politically involved. If we’re to have a Congress that will stand up to Biden, investigate corruption, and reverse creeping socialism, we must have conservatives on the ballot, rather than whatever RINOs the GOP selects. The battle ends in November but it begins with the primaries.

Ask any Democrat or other leftist whether the FBI was corrupt under J. Edgar Hoover and he or she will eagerly agree. (snip) Now, though, it appears that the FBI, with help from the DOJ, is going Hoover one better, and using all the old powers plus modern technology to investigate and arrest people who fail to support the Biden administration. The FBI’s latest target is Texas Representative Henry Cuellar, a Democrat, who spoke out against Biden’s illegal acts erasing America’s southern border. Late last year, I got into a discussion with a fellow who was quite sold on the idea that man’s activities were warming the Earth. While not a hardcore ideologue, it was apparent the gentleman had accepted the climate change narrative presented by mainstream media and believed we truly were imperiling the planet. I didn’t say much to him initially, as we were engaged in some recreation, but later on I resurrected the topic and told him I just wanted to pose one question. “What is the ideal average temperature of the Earth”? I asked. It was clear he was without an answer, so I explained my rationale.

If there was any doubt that Joe Biden is unfit for the office of President of the United States, yesterday’s marathon press conference put such qualms to rest. (snip) It did not put anyone’s fear about Biden’s competency at rest. Faux reporters like Yamiche Alcindor and Jennifer Rubin swore Biden performed brilliantly but every rational person watching knew it was a “slow-motion train wreck.” The sad aspect of it all was that one could tell Biden thought he was dazzling his audience. He was, as usual, quick to anger when asked a question that intimated that he was less than the best President ever.

I recently wrote to my United States senator, a Republican Never Trumper, respectfully asking why the January 6th detainees are still in jail, with many still in solitary and not arraigned for what was essentially trespassing on public property (forgetting for the moment the role of FBI instigators). (Incidentally, we should all be writing). His reply saddened me profoundly. I received back a two-page harangue of how horrible January 6th was and how it imperiled our democracy. Buried within that harangue were unexpected admissions about the unconstitutional conditions in which far more prisoners are held than most people realize. Surprisingly enough, these admissions gave me hope.

At some point in the relatively near future, President Joe Biden will be handed a speech that will read something like this: “My Fellow Americans -- Our long national nightmare is over. The pandemic is a thing of the past and I am ordering the end of all federal COVID-related efforts and I implore those governors who have not lifted their emergency orders to do so immediately. It’s time for all of us to get back to normal.” Given Biden’s speech and cognition issues, he will most likely actually say ‘My Felericans -- our long natural fair is covered,” but that is beside the point

Here's what our COVID-1984 authoritarians want: they seek to use pandemics, wars, uncontrolled immigration, doomsday climate predictions, and "woke" cultural Marxism to keep people in a constant state of fear, divided among themselves, and willing to hand over their freedoms for evaporative promises of protection. "Protection" in this racket means survival but not life, equity but not fairness, financial handouts but not prosperity, and politically correct narratives but no truth. This last point deserves emphasis.

A 19-year-old man who was fatally shot by Metro Police in the southeast valley Monday had no connection to a murder police were investigating when they entered an apartment to serve a search warrant, police said today at a briefing. Assistant Sheriff Andrew Walsh said Isaiah Tyree Williams, 19, was shot by officers several times as they tried to serve a search warrant related to a November 2021 homicide. Two officers were injured in the exchange. Police announced their presence by yelling “police department, search warrant” multiple times at about 5 a.m. before entering the apartment in the 3000 block of South Nellis Boulevard, Walsh said.

New Jersey has banned police officers from lingering around polling stations and ballot drop boxes on election days under a new law that advocates argued was needed to protect against voter intimidation. It says both plain-clothed or uniformed police need to keep at least 100 feet from polling stations or drop boxes.
