When Alec Baldwin gave his tearful “don’t look at me” interview on ABC this week, he made any number of comments that seemed odd for a person who is still part of an investigation into the death of Halyna Hutchins. Perhaps one of the strangest, however, came when he told George Stephanopoulos that he had heard from “people in the know” that he was “highly unlikely” to face criminal charges over the shooting. That interview clearly caught the attention of Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies, who is in charge of investigating the shooting. She took the rather unusual step of giving a statement to the press on the subject,

Seeing that fat, socialist pig and a huge hypocrite in an orange jump suit behind bars would warm my heart!

He probably thinks that shameless interview would be some sort of pressure on the DA to agree with him.

Makes sense. Safety infractions weren't limited to just one person. Safety was practically non-existent.

Don't know if this is accurate, but I read last week and someone on that set has hired Gloria Allred. Her office, or maybe it was her, have said Baldwin aimed the gun and pretended to fire it at several people before he got to the woman he actually pulled the trigger on. I think all stories so far might have a tiny amount of truth but there is still lots more to know.

Don't care for Baldwin. He is obxious, arrogant, patronizing, and a bully. But what motive would he have had. Seems likely that someone who hates Baldin loaded the gun and the fool acted like a fool. Expect him to claim the shot came from the grassy knoll.

Is he not represented by counsel? No attorney in these circumstances would allow their client to be giving interiews.

He pointed the pistol at humans NOT required to be aimed at as part of the required movie action, and pulled back the hammer and then pulled the trigger. Absent any proof that the firearm was mechanically broken, this is how it had to happen. Regardless, he had to pull backnthe hammer manually.
If there was no scripted reason to be "firing" at crew members, it is extremely irresponsible and negligent to drop the hammer when pointed at a human.
Yes, he didn't expect to have a live round, but even blank cartridges are dangerous to fire at people within 15 ft or even farther.
Totally irresponsible and negligent.

Remember Baldwin is an actor, so chances are he was doing a bit of self-serving acting while he was being interviewed by George Stephenopolous. If the revolver is throughly examined by qualified experts and is found to be a properly functioning single action handgun that cannot be fired before it is manually cocked and the trigger then squeezed, Baldwin may face some sort of criminal negligence charge. Too early to tell at this stage.

Alec, didn't you ever act in a movie where the lawyer told his client to keep quiet?

The crybaby dindo nuffin can practice his tears for the trial but nobody else's hand was holding that gun but his. Many times in the recent past, firearms have been accused of shooting themselves but I haven't seen it yet.

Every liberal out there does interviews with the chummy George Stephanopoulos to get their message out. In this case Baldwin is laying his pathetic ground work of innocent while it's someone else's fault it's the wrong thing to do. One thing is certain he aimed the gun and pulled the trigger Baldwin is at fault.

Correct 7,9 and 13. Baldwin is one of those people like Barack Obama who is smarter than everybody else, in his own mind of course, and can best choose how to act. So far he is registering -0- on the sympathy and innocence meters. He and Jussie Smollett should go have a drink together and discuss who did the dumbest thing possible to enhance their careers.
