Crews of burglars publicly smashing their way into Los Angeles' most exclusive stores. Robbers following their victims, including a star of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and a BET host, to their residences. And this week, the fatal shooting of 81-year-old Jacqueline Avant, an admired philanthropist and wife of music legend Clarence Avant, in her Beverly Hills home. After two years of rising violent crime in Los Angeles, these incidents have sparked a national conversation and led to local concern about both the crimes themselves and where the outrage over the violence will lead. "The fact that this has

Crime moving from the inner city into the suburbs of LA starts another "national conversation". Watch where you walk, Beverly Hills.

We don't need a "national conversation," we need cops, and jails, and high bail.

Yet, Nancy Pelosi and Gavin Newsom can officiate/attend an elitist wedding. The policies of these two people and the people who continually vote for them have created this scenario.

Maybe "Braved New World" had it right. Send these felons to an island and let them fend for themselves.

When the elites are bothered, Democrats start to care; if it happens to 'lesser folks'', which has been happening since Obama's first day in office, it ain't really happening.

Notice the subtle spin implying that the crime spike is overhyped. They don't have a clue that it's going to get worse, much worse before the Dem big cities break down completely. It's just human nature...if criminals see no downside to committing violent crimes then we will get more of it. There will also be "new" rookie criminals joining the game when they see how easy it is to get the 'looters discount'.

Crime isn't important until it affects the important people (rich Democrats), apparently. And I'm sorry he lost his wife to crime, but I've never heard of "music legend Clarence Avant". But he's black and rich so he must be important.

Cops can not there where and when needed. Legal defense of person and property gun laws like Florida and Texas will stop 50% of it and eliminate a bunch of thieves without the expense of incarceration.

When are Cali democrats going to ever figure out that elections have consequences? Like higher crime, crime moving into the 'burbs where the pickings are going to be fantastic for them. And all because the authorities are doing nothing to deal with BLM and Antifa. Democrat policies breed crime and destruction, and if you keep voting for the democrats, this is what you end up with. I know of numerous people who are or have left Cali for good. Those of you dithering, why?

Want to fix this? First get rid of ALL the democrap liberals running things, from the Goobernor to the local dog catcher...then refund the police, leave them alone, and turn them loose...it won't take long to fix it...

#21: ' ..Figure out elections have consequences' I can only assume they already know the consequences and approve of it. Check the polling numbers.
....FTA: Polls in 2020 showed that California voters largely support many of these measures, and both San Francisco and Los Angeles have elected district attorneys with strong reform agendas.

Sucks to be you, L.A. Former University of Oklahoma football coach Lincoln Riley abandoned the security of Sooner Nation and the Heartland for the glamor of coaching Southern Cal. The Trojans reported offered Riley a $110 million deal, bought a $6 million mansion for him in L.A, bought both of Riley's homes in Norman, OK for $500,000 over asking price and will provide unlimited use of a private jet 24/7 for the family.
He's gonna need all that dough to insulate his family from all that L.A. lawlessness and he'll need a quick means to escape once Southern California implodes...

What's to complain about? Los Angeles is run by Democrats. They like things just the way they are with homelessness and drug use everywhere. Commit a crime, get released and be told by the George Gascon, the DA to stop being naughty. Complain about crime, you be a racist...noam sayin'

Oprah Winfrey is shocked. Well the fact is, people like Oprah Winfrey are the problem. Read this article and you see how delusional these people in California are. They still don't get it. These crimes have nothing to do with poverty and nothing to do with low paying jobs. It has all to do with young thugs who have no respect for authority, no respect for anyone or their property, have zero morals, values and no soul. You do not and I'll say it again, you do not rehabilitate a career criminal. You need tough laws and you need more prisons.
