'Hopelessly divided' Supreme Court defies narrative
with another unanimous opinion

Original Article

The Supreme Court has finally handed down two of the five “blockbuster” opinions of this term with rulings on the Affordable Care Act and religious rights. The most striking aspect of the decisions was the absence of ideological divisions. Indeed, the case on religious rights is yet another unanimous decision from a Court that President Joe Biden has declared “out of whack” and Democratic leaders have declared hopelessly divided along ideological lines. This week represented the final collapse of the false narrative that has been endlessly repeated like a mantra in Congress and the media.

Further proof that the USSC is a political entity, straying far away from the purpose for which it was created. These unanimous decisions reveal that clandestine machinations are going on behind the scenes. Is there any discussion and debate among the members on the individual cases as presented, or does that only happen when it's time for the clerks to write their opinions? It's probably even uglier and more swampy than we can imagine.

I disagree with #1. The author's point is that, contrary to the liberal "narrative" the Court is neither "extreme" nor "hopelessly divided." As evidence of that, the author points to a string of unanimous decisions (and some near unanimous ones -- e.g., 7 to 2 -- as well). In particular, the Court' string of unanimous decisions on "free speech" and "free exercise of religion" cases indicate that--at least at a basic level--ALL of the Justices believe that the First Amendment actually means what it says. Given the "woke" left's ongoing assaults on both free speech and religion, that is a very good thing.

I wonder just what it is that Obama has on John Roberts, to keep him so cowed after all these years. Does one of them have to depart the mortal coil for us to find out?

Ted Cruz tweets Juneteeth message:
'A special celebration'

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on Saturday shared a celebratory message for Juneteenth, a new federal holiday, celebrating the emancipation of Black slaves after the Civil War. "Today is Juneteenth, a special celebration of the fact that our country strives each and every day to make good on its promise to protect the inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all men and all women who are created equal," he tweeted. The tweet emphasizes the freedoms listed in the Declaration of Independence — the same freedoms Americans fought for during the Civil War — rather than the political differences the country is currently grappling with.

As a candidate, Joe Biden’s number one promise was to “unite” America. Yet in his first months as president, his number one priority has been to divide our country by race and gender at every turn. There is no clearer example than the Biden administration’s new effort aimed at indoctrinating America’s schoolchildren with some of the most toxic and anti-American theories ever conceived. It is vital for Americans to understand what this initiative would do, what drives it and, most importantly, how we can stop it. For decades, the America-blaming left has been relentlessly pushing a vision of America that casts our history, culture, traditions, and

Some 250 years after the Declaration of Independence declared that "all men are created equal," and almost 60 years after Martin Luther King dreamed that his children would "not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character," the federal government announced it wants to teach American children that they are not equal, and that skin color does matter. Under the misleading name of "anti-racism," the Department of Education has proposed to direct federal funds to the teaching of racial discrimination in America's elementary and secondary school systems—to encourage students to identify and to treat others differently according to race.

U.S. Catholic bishops overwhelmingly approved the drafting of a “teaching document” that many of them hope will rebuke Catholic politicians, including President Joe Biden, for receiving Communion despite their support for abortion rights. The decision, vehemently opposed by a minority of bishops, came despite appeals from the Vatican for a more cautious and collegial approach to the divisive issue. And it raises questions of how closely the bishops will be able to cooperate with the Biden administration on issues such as immigration and racial injustice. The result of the vote — 168 in favor and 55 against — was announced Friday

The Biden administration is sharply reducing the number of U.S. antimissile systems in the Middle East in a major realignment of its military footprint there as it focuses the armed services on challenges from China and Russia, administration officials said. The Pentagon is pulling approximately eight Patriot antimissile batteries from countries including Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, according to officials. Another antimissile system known as a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, or Thaad system, is being withdrawn from Saudi Arabia, and jet fighter squadrons assigned to the region are being reduced, those officials said.CORRECTIONS**

President Biden's angry response to a CNN reporter on Wednesday was the latest in a long list of times he has snapped at journalists who asked him pointed questions. While Biden has enjoyed questions like what his ice cream flavor is or compliments about how he's perceived as a "decent man" during his short time in office, he didn't take kindly to CNN's Kaitlan Collins suggesting he was confident Russian President Vladimir Putin may change his malign behavior after their summit this week. Biden, who was walking away from his Geneva press conference, whirled around at Collins and said, "I'm not confident he'll change his behavior. What in the hell

Big companies are hiring for remote positions that can be performed in any state across the U.S. except one: Colorado. At issue is a new Colorado law that requires companies with even a few employees in the state to disclose the expected salary or pay range for each open role they advertise, including remote positions. The rule’s aim is to narrow gender wage gaps and provide greater pay transparency for employees. To avoid having to disclose that information, though, some employers seeking remote workers nationwide are saying that those living in Colorado need not apply. Across the internet, an array of job listings state the work can’t be done in Colorado.

If you attempt to watch the YouTube version of Tucker Carlson’s report on what’s going on in Atlanta from Monday night, you’ll find yourself wading through warnings that “the following content has been identified by the YouTube community as inappropriate or offensive to some audiences.” There is nothing pornographic in Carlson’s report. Nor is there foul language. What’s “inappropriate” or “offensive” in it is the truth about the people who run Atlanta, truth that everyone knows and understands. It’s the fact someone might speak the truth in a video appearing on YouTube that is offensive to the “YouTube community.” The funny thing is, Carlson isn’t telling the half of it.

Although the speaker lives in San Francisco’s progressive echo chamber, she heads a national party and understands that most voters do not think our country is similar to the Taliban or Hamas. They have noticed a few small differences. Newsmax released an article this week that gives voice to further distrust of America’s once-premiere law enforcement agency. The column was based on a series of questions and concerns presented by Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) regarding the still murky details around the January 6th storming of the Capitol building. Two questions lobbed at the FBI are both haunting and disheartening: “What did the FBI know? And when did they know it?” The fact that the agency responsible for investigating the lawlessness of that date is itself under scrutiny is alarming.

The election of 2020 is going to lay bare the dereliction of the Supreme Court for all to see. The COVD-19 pandemic gave numerous state election officials an excuse to implement far-reaching changes to our election processes. Those changes obviously made our systems vulnerable to fraud. States implemented massive mail-in balloting at the same time they relaxed ballot security and voter identification. They even extended the voting periods -- to give the criminals more time to commit their fraud. All these changes were unconstitutional. (snip) The Supreme Court declined to get involved.

The Confederate battle flag, which was crafted as a symbol of opposition to the abolishment of slavery, is just recently tired. We don’t see it much anymore. However, on the 6th, when the stormers rained on the nation’s most precious hut, waving Old Glory — the memo was received: the American flag is its replacement. President Biden, Madame Harris and members of Congress: the American flag has been hijacked as code for a specific belief. God bless those believers, they can have it. It proposes that when someone dies, any asset they leave behind that has appreciated in value by more than $1million since the time they bought it should be taxed.
