Socialist political YouTuber Hasan Piker has been subpoenaed by the Trump administration's Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control over trips he's made to Cuba alongside CodePink's Susan Medea Benjamin, who was also issued a subpoena. The issue at hand is whether or not these groups violated US law by "supporting Cuba's communist regime," Fox News Digital reports.
Piker and others, including Rep. Ilhan Omar's daughter Isra Hirsi, traveled to Cuba in March in support of the regime amid sanctions and embargoes from the United States against the communist power. The move was part of an international outcry by leftist activists following the United States indictment and ouster of Venezuelan leader

It was an induced hallucination, happily shared by a crowd of professional journalists, and a useful reminder of Gavin Newsom’s tendency to swagger like a winner on the lightest of pretexts.
Back in February, the California governor spoke to the media in a crowded railyard, posing in front of a long line of freight cars and the piles of construction materials they had just delivered while he bragged about the extraordinary new progress the state was making toward a functioning high-speed rail system.

Multiple reports have indicated that U.S. negotiators believe that Iran has committed to giving up its nuclear ambitions and its highly enriched uranium as a part of a broader peace deal with President Donald Trump.
On Saturday afternoon, President Trump announced that an “agreement has been largely negotiated” between Washington and Tehran. However, Mr Trump said that the final details of the deal were still being discussed and would not be made public at the time.
According to a report from the New York Times, citing “two U.S. officials”, the Islamist regime in Iran verbally agreed to U.S. negotiators that it would give up its stockpile of highly enriched uranium.

When Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin uses the term “Nazi” he does so with a perspective that is not the same as western considerations. Ukraine is well known for their ideological blood lust, the events within this story are related to that definition.Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ordered the targeting of a college dormitory in Starobilsk, Luhansk, an occupied territory under the control of Russian forces.
This was not a military target. Yana Lantratova, Russia’s human rights commissioner, said that 86 teenagers aged 14 to 18 had been asleep inside the hostel belonging to Luhansk Pedagogical University’s Starobilsk college when Ukrainian drones had attacked it during the night.

Democrat Barney Frank has died. Before we get into this story, you should know…
(snip) Frank was directly tied to a disturbing political scandal in the 1980s. It was a scandal involving a male escort operation run out of his home by a man with deep connections to a bigger network involving underage boys, political protection, and organized exploitation in the Swamp.
That’s what Barney Frank got caught up in.
But unlike conservatives who get politically executed over much less, Barney Frank survived it all… and actually thrived.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark—Bea Ferdinandsen Kaas held up her phone. The traditional Greenlandic tattoos on her fingers fanned out around the image of a child: her granddaughter.
She’s fighting to be able to raise the young girl, who she says was taken from her daughter by the police and a social worker soon after her birth in early 2025.
(smip)
She choked up. Kaas—far from the granddaughter she loves—(snip).
In 2025, Denmark eliminated a controversial parenting competency test for Greenlanders in Denmark. Greenlanders had long complained that the standardized test was culturally biased, causing too many of them to lose their children to foster care.

Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., defended the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) from fraud allegations related to its funding of hate hoaxes, stating “what its donors love about the Southern Poverty Law Center is how effective it’s been.” After donors purchased a decade of race riots and left-wing violence to help Democrats, he must be right.
At a Wednesday hearing of the House Judiciary Committee, Raskin was attempting to defend the SPLC from a federal fraud indictment which showed how the organization that claims to dismantle “hate groups” actually funds them in order to manufacture hate and then fundraise even more off the chaos.

As Democrats scramble to protect the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) after it was indicted for fraud, Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., attempted to have the truth about an infamous anti-Trump hoax the SPLC peddled removed from the congressional record.
At a Wednesday hearing of the House Judiciary Committee titled “The Southern Poverty Law Center: Manufacturing Hate,” ranking member Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., launched into the heavily debunked claim that President Donald Trump praised white supremacists at a 2017 Charlottesville rally as “very fine people.” Notably, the hearing took place in light of a grand jury indictment of the SPLC that detailed its reported funding of an individual involved in planning

Aimee Bock, the convicted ringleader of the $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud scheme in Minnesota, was sentenced to more than 40 years in prison on Thursday.
The judge handed Bock a 500-month sentence and ordered her to repay nearly $243 million to the federal government.
Last year, a jury found her guilty on multiple criminal counts, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit federal programs bribery. Prosecutors said she orchestrated the largest pandemic fraud case in the country, which diverted tens of millions in government money meant to feed hungry children.
