Iran has reportedly agreed to give up its stockpile of enriched uranium as part of the deal announced by President Trump Saturday.
Tehran has agreed to a statement pledging to relinquish its cache of highly enriched uranium — believed to be enough to build 11 nuclear bombs — the New York Times reported, citing two American officials. The disposal of the highly enriched uranium, which Trump refers to as “nuclear dust” was a major sticking point in negotiations between the United States and the Islamic Republic. While Iran fought to address the status of its nuclear stockpile after an agreement to end the war had been reached,

Unless they agree to KILL each and every member of the IRGC along with each and every Imam , there can never be a lasting deal! Anything less is just Bullschidt!

Surely Trump understands that Iran will violate any "deal" as soon as it is able, and that failing to destroy Iran's regime will: (a) pose a continuing future menace to the US and the world; and (b) destroy Trump's credibility and destroy him politically. So the question is not "Why is Trump entering into a deal?" but rather "What is Trump's plan for when Iran violates the deal?" Perhaps he can claim that the deal resets the clock on taking military action without Congressional approval. Perhaps the US and Israel have, during these "negotiations," been gathering the intelligence needed to finish off the Iranian regime for good. I believe 3D chess is being played here, but, not being a 3D chess master myself, I cannot figure it out. Can you?

I do NOT believe this at all! They have probably moved enough of it somewhere else and have hidden it. DO NOT TRUST and verify regardless! If Trump buys this it will be to his detriment meaning his legacy as we all know it is very important to him, I doubt he would risk it, but then I have been wrong before. Time will tell and this could be to the detriment to our country especially when the Dems lie and cheat their way back into power! Until the monsters in Iran are wiped out we will be at risk they will achieve their goal of a nuclear weapon IMOHO!

Words are useless. Get the stockpile of uranium.
Then test it to see if the signature shows it came from the traitors in the US government.

Good. I assume that the previous bombing campaign also destroyed iran's centrifuges so it can't enrich anymore uranium anytime soon.

Signing an agreement and adhering to all actual concrete steps that lead to verification, acquisition and removal from Iranian control are vastly different things. Iran has agreed to inspections before. We know how that went. I still don't see a believable agreement that will last.

I’m betting that Iran’s good friend Pakistan is offering to store it for the mullahs.

Chances are also good that the uranium came from the US stockpile that the Hildebeest sold to Russia during the first BamBam administration. It would be difficult to trace that. At this point, it's a political issue for Iran, given that most of their scientists are dead and the movement and processing of uranium would be detected in post-war Iran since their major facilities are buried under tons of rock. Trump had to smooth that over since that was one of his major negotiating points. Interestingly enough, the Leftist media still insists that the sale is a conservative-leaning lie and neither Hillary nor the Clinton Foundation was involved. You decide. The war may be over but our option to pound Iran at any time over the next ten years if they do not maintain a peaceful stance should still be an option. It looks like the entire Middle East is on board with that.

This is all being seen through the lense of the media and is probably not an accurate picture of what is going on. This is the Islamic Revolution. It is more than Iran. They are at war with us. They are at war with anyone that does not see things the same way they do. Hopefully Trump sees this. Negotiations are a stalling tactic for them. They see anything that lets them exist another day as a 'victory'. They are able to continue and strengthen their grip on the world.

I’m all in favor of a deal, assuming Iran holds to it. I think maybe PDJT 2.0 is doing this to appease the DemoShloveks so when Iran reneges on the deal, they won’t have a leg to stand on when we bomb Iran into oblivion.

Most commenters prior to this one brought up very good points, for the most part.
I think President Trump is still playing 3D chess, but likely 4D. That is,
1) He knows the Iranians will never follow through on any agreement
2) Therefore, military action will be needed again to eliminate the lunatic mullahs and IRGC
3) Said military action will likely take place in several months, say after a successful midterm election?
4) In the interim, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened and as oil prices fall and trade returns to more normal levels, our economy takes off like PDJT intended, and prices fall in many sectors
5) As a bonus, maybe the uranium CAN be traced back to traitors in America. If any real justice still exists in this world the perpetrators would be tried, convicted, sentenced and summarily executed for their traitorous acts.
After ten years of seeing President Trump in action, I'm all for giving him the benefit of the doubt.

The history of the Islamic theocratic Mullahs of Iran shows that they will never surrender to an Infidel like Trump and the Israelis until they are dead. In that respect they are now playing for time hoping to obstruct the US off year elections coming up in November to the favor of their leftist, progressive and socialist US Democrat supporters, and in the longer term knowing that in about two and a half years that Trump will be gone permanently from the White House and the world scene, with a 50/50 chance in their minds, that Trump will be replaced in the White House by some very weak leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrat politician who will appease them with money and by removing the US military from the area.

I think this is a mistake. Iran always reneges. If the current regime stays in power, then it was all for naught.

I am opposed to anything short of unconditional surrender. The timing of that can accommodate practical and political considerations. I am certain President Trump is fully aware that the regime uses lies even when the truth would benefit them. If there is a way to peace, I would of course favor it, but that doesn't seem realistic. Their culture is built on hate. They train their children to use weapons at an age when ours haven't even reached kindergarten. There will be at least three generations of hate to get past for any peace deal.
I do not want to police a peace agreement, with the threat of returning "to finish the job." These crazies need to be stopped completely, now, not later. That will be foolish. Time is not on our side. We cannot count on the future or a second chance. The Dems could take control, and we can't count on the pubbies. They seem to be willing to join the dems to take this opportunity away from the President. JD wobbled on this matter. Vance publicly expressed his sympathy for their circumstances and was willing to soften up to give them more time. He looked like a cowboy with a big hat and no cattle. We cannot count on the future to "finish the job."

Harken to Rudyard Kipling:
„At the end of the fight is a tombstone whilte
With the name of the late deceased.
And an epitaph drear:
ˋA fool lies here
Who tried to hustle the East.‘“
Unfortunately, the amount of enriched uranium at issue is unknown, with only Iranian statements as to the actual quantity. Such claims are not to be trusted.
