North Korea has updated its constitution to require a retaliatory nuclear strike if leader Kim Jong Un is assassinated, according to a report. The Telegraph reported the change comes amid heightened global tensions following the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other officials during a recent conflict.
Khamenei was killed in an Israeli strike in Tehran as part of a coordinated U.S.-Israeli military operation earlier this year, Fox News Digital previously reported.
The constitutional revision was approved during a session of North Korea’s Supreme People’s Assembly, which opened March 22 in Pyongyang, the outlet said. South Korea's National Intelligence Service (NIS) briefed senior government officials this week on the update,

I grow weary of these Stalinist hoodlums. We've put up with North Korea for long enough. A medium-term plan destroy everything nuclear in their country and subsequently dismantle their military would be fine with me. I think the rule should be if you threaten to use nuclear weapons against the United States of America, we will kill you, destroy your military, and remove your regime from history.
It says a good message to the rest of the hoodlums.

Hopefully, the survivors aren't suicidal and won't follow this literally INSANE law.

So I guess if we hear he is sick, we need to do a preemptive strike.

Only one person matters in NK. Their supreme leader. It's reflected in their constitution. It's a reflection of their law. Both the law and the constitution usually reflect the rights and protections for the general populace. That's not the case in NK. NK is proof the law can be anything they want. This is what you get when tyrants write the law and constitution.

If Kim were assassinated by his own people, would NK nuke their own people?

If Kimmie were to keel over for whatever reason today, his daughter Kim Ju Ae would replace him if she were old enough. Bad news because she is more subhuman than he is. If the kid is too young, then Kimmie's sister, Kim Yo Jong would fill in until Ju Ae is old enough. All this brought to the world courtesy post WWII and the Korean War. At the hands of, guess who, the russkies.

The Kim dymasty will end when a patriotic North Korean assassinates him. What are they going to do? Blow themselves up?

Whichever country they plan to nuke by default (i.e if nobody specific can be shown to be guilty) is made responsible for preventing Kim's assassination, then.

He’s not in great shape, he’s a fat man in a malnourished country, he loves Marlboro’s obtained illegally. Maybe DJT can get him to give up his nuclear ambitions in return for an unlimited supply of Marlboro’s, Jack Daniel’s and some cheese. He loves American movies maybe DJT can make him a star in a “adult” movie with Hillary and Rosie.

The chances of his missiles striking targets in the US are just about nil. Japan and South Korea may get accidental hits.

Like North Korea, Iran is a police state, but worse than North Korea if they get nuclear weapons because those religious nuts praise martyrdom as great rewards in paradise, and mutual assured destruction is not a deterent.

My goodness. So he dies by choking on his food (I actually expect this is likely). Regime immediately starts looking for the assassin.
Soon, China, Russia, the USA and half the remaining nuclear powers unload enough nuclear munitions North of the DMZ to crack the Earth's crust, because no sane person want to deal with the fat little POS or his family, ever again.

A North Korean constitution is an oxymoron.
The only rights is this country is the right to do as you are told and the right to think as you are told.
