A high school prom celebration turned deadly after gunfire erupted at a local park, killing a teenage girl and wounding four others, according to officials.
Saturah Hayes, 17, was fatally shot Friday evening in Brownsville, Tenn. — about an hour northeast of Memphis — where Haywood High School students decked out in tuxedos and dresses gathered for photographs before the big dance, police and school officials said.
Four others were shot and hospitalized, according to police. It’s not clear how many of those wounded were students.
The prom was cut short and the school was closed Monday to give Hayes’ classmates time to grieve, Action News 5 reported.

OK, folks…. you can stop reading at the name “Saturah.” Suspicions confirmed, again.

She was a beautiful girl. She looked to be the type who had plans for a bright future and was applying herself toward making her dreams successful. She didn’t look the type to be involved in activities that would ruin those dreams, and what was said about her work ethic confirms that. My prayers for her family and friends, and for other victims.

I continued reading after the name Saturah appeared. I wish I hadn’t since the photo of the victim, a beautiful, smiling girl, dressed to the nines, made me very sad. It also made me extremely angry at the typical black politician, including Obama, who refuses to address the madness running rampant in the “community.”

The description of the girl's personality by the school superintendent was so vague as to be useless. If she was a good student, the superintendent probably didn't know who she was. If she was a pain in the neck, the superintendent knew her and was lying.
The cure? Tell the truth. At least show your own true colors. When I made the news just a few years out of high school, the principle said I was a good kid, but didn't go out for sports (he being a coach, that's all that mattered to him). That's all he knew about me.

This sort of outcome happens only in one "cultural group" although it stretches the meaning of the word 'culture' a lot.
And, yes, I read this and the obvious ethnic name popped out to confirm what I was 95% sure of anyway.
The only way this sort of black on black viciousness decreases is if black leaders, not meaning Sharpton and other race hustlers, start to change the violent, hateful, hair-trigger-gotta-shoot-you sort of life view of these people. It isn't all blacks, obviously, but it is always some black thugs who do this sort of thing,
and disproportionately, the victims are black people, too.
I hope something can change in this "culture", but it can't be changed from outside.

Looked through the article for the time of day for the shooting and it only said Sunday evening. Was the shooting at 7PM or midnight? Was this a prom or another 'party'? With the school involvement I would say it was a prom but can see the principle covering for another party gone wrong.

Per #6 is right. It's going to have to be changed from inside the black community and culture. Real leaders trying to help instead of enriching themselves and being excused because...reasons. It's to the point that when one of these senseless murders occurs, 99% of the time we know who the perps are in spite of the usual media "teens" etc. description.

It’s obvious that the Fake News Media and so called Black leaders could care less about Black crimes including murder on anyone especially other Blacks. The idea that having ancestors hundreds of years ago that were slaves exempts you from blame and punishment is crazy.
