Four of the five main parties on the ballot, including the ones that won first and second place, Demokraatit Party and Naleraq, favor independence from Denmark, but disagree on the pace. Greenland, whose population is approximately 57,000 people, currently operates as a semi-autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark. However, Trump’s renewed interest in the island sparked conversations about breaking away from the Danish crown. So what happens now? How long before we add them as a 51st state? Or maybe turn them into a frozen Puerto Rico? How long before the NFL plays the Super Bowl there? Or what about the NHL and that annual hockey game outdoors?

Yesterday’s pacifists are today’s Rambos, it seems: 442 lawmakers in the 720-seat European Parliament just agreed to a joint declaration that “strongly deplores any attempts at blackmailing Ukraine’s leadership into surrender to the Russian aggressor for the sole purpose of announcing a so-called ‘peace deal.’” Which means, less than 14% of our “friends” in the EU had the testicular fortitude to oppose this brazenly anti-American statement. Thanks, guys.
But perhaps we’re being unfair. Perhaps the EU genuinely, sincerely opposes browbeating a democratic nation — especially one that was just invaded and attacked! — into accepting a permanent, immediate, and unconditional ceasefire.

Even as the Trump administration focuses on making government efficient in ways it has not been in decades, lawmakers still can’t stop their spending habits. That’s the unfortunate takeaway from spending legislation House Republican leaders released over the weekend.
The legislation may pass with Republican votes and President Trump’s support. It represents a better fiscal vision than a bill crafted with more Democrat input. But when “better” in this case equates to “slightly less irresponsible,” it speaks to the chasm between Congress’s spendaholic ways and fiscal reality.

The communists who’ve run South Africa into the dirt since the end of apartheid — increasingly brazen in their genocidal anti-white rhetoric and deeds — may have not expected any real pushback on their illiberal racism. And why wouldn’t they expect immunity? They had gotten away with it for decades under all previous U.S. presidents, even while they touted the “international rules-based order” that is neoliberalism. (As a side note, you can always tell that Trump's writing his own communications, whether on Truth Social or elsewhere, by his telltale use of random ALL CAPS and random capitalization of the first letter of non-proper nouns in the middle of sentences.

As part of the deception, according to the IDF report, Hamas was working to convince Israel that it was interested in calm and was working for economic prosperity. The IDF investigation concluded that Hamas had planned the October 7 attack for more than 10 years.
Today, everyone knows that the talk about a long-term truce was nothing but a smokescreen to conceal Hamas's real intention of launching its October 7 attack against Israel.
Hamas anyway is not known for honoring ceasefire agreements.... On July 26, 2014, Hamas announced a 24-hour humanitarian ceasefire at 14.00. Hamas violated its own ceasefire a short time later.

Wall Street is puking big time, and the sell buttons are working overtime whenever the word “tariff” passes from Donald Trump’s lips. If you listen to the fat cat community long enough, you’d think Trump has been in office four years rather than four weeks, and that a small trade surcharge on a car from Mexico is leading us into economic Armageddon.
I’m no fan of tariffs for lots of reasons, including I hate paying too much for stuff, but I’ve also taken enough econ and studied markets long enough to know that they’re not the end of the world as we know it.

Air Force F-16 fighter jets scrambled Sunday to intercept aircraft that entered the airspace over President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida — the second time that’s happened in 48 hours, NORAD says.
A civilian aircraft flew into the no-fly zone over the property at around 1:15 p.m. Sunday, according to a statement.
The fighter jets fired flares to warn the pilots to move out of the area, the military said.
The aircraft was then escorted out of the area.

President Trump is giving this anti-Israel campus rabble-rouser a ticket to study abroad — for good.
A Palestinian activist who led the disruptive protests at both Columbia University and Barnard College has been arrested by ICE agents at his campus apartment, according to his lawyer.
Mahmoud Khalil, who completed his graduate studies at Ivy League Columbia in December, also potentially faces having his visa revoked and his green card canceled following President Trump’s crackdown on unrest at colleges, attorney Amy Greer said Sunday.
He was inside his university-owned apartment a few blocks from campus Saturday night when ICE agents entered the residence and took him into custody, Greer said.

The unveiling of the USAID’s scandalous misappropriation of money continues. This week, MSNBC tried to toss a lifesaver to Stacey Abrams, asking her to explain the $2 billion allotted to her pop-up nonprofit by the EPA when she lacked all experience for managing so much money. Didn’t work. In fact, her own words underscore that this was a Democrat party grift. She claimed it was to be used to buy energy-saving appliances for people who could not otherwise afford them. In other words, a new, more expensive remake of the Obama phone giveaway. Imagine how Stacey would allocate this pelf.

The concept of Zionism has received adverse publicity in the press of late, especially thanks to slogans by supposedly pro-Palestinian activists in the West vilifying Jews. These supposedly pro-Palestinian activists are actually just antisemites; they have never proposed a thing that would make Palestinian lives better. Anyhow these activists call Jews "Zionists" to avoid having themselves labelled as Jew-haters.
Due to a fundamental clash of irreconcilable ethical religious principles – that of Torah versus Islamic Sharia – it appears that only Israel's overwhelming military strength, command of technology and will to protect its country from tyranny can deter the nation's Islamist enemies.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom refuses to protect women’s sports just days after he claimed it was “unfair” for men to play in women’s sports.
In a podcast featuring Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, Newsom said men in women’s sports are “unfair” but did not answer Kirk’s question as to whether men should be prohibited.
Newsom then suggested that there needs to be a way to balance fairness with the mental health of these young men, otherwise they might “commit suicide.”
“There’s also a humility and a grace. You know that these poor people are more likely to commit suicide,

Iran has also been installing more advanced centrifuges, increasing its capacity to enrich uranium faster than ever.
The Iranian regime appears to believe that nuclear weapons will give it leverage to silence opposition at home and deter any foreign intervention that could threaten its rule.
A nuclear-armed Iran poses an existential threat not only to the "Little Satan," Israel, and the "Great Satan," the US, but to all the oil-rich Gulf countries in the Middle East.
The task is not just about protecting Israel, Europe and the US; it is about preventing.... the mother of all arms-races throughout the Middle East.
