The concept of Zionism has received adverse publicity in the press of late, especially thanks to slogans by supposedly pro-Palestinian activists in the West vilifying Jews. These supposedly pro-Palestinian activists are actually just antisemites; they have never proposed a thing that would make Palestinian lives better. Anyhow these activists call Jews "Zionists" to avoid having themselves labelled as Jew-haters. Due to a fundamental clash of irreconcilable ethical religious principles – that of Torah versus Islamic Sharia – it appears that only Israel's overwhelming military strength, command of technology and will to protect its country from tyranny can deter the nation's Islamist enemies.

Nils did really good up until the last paragraph. FTA: "No country...cannot afford...". Should have been "can" afford. Compound negatives can alter the meaning. Other than that, it was a must read. Netanyahu has been a hero of the modern day, and his trials and tribulations would have crushed any leader, except for Trump.

I've long disagreed with the continued use of the word "Zionist". A word that has outlived its meaning. A movement to establish a Jewish state? That's been accomplished, hasn't it? Using "Zionist" treats the whole thing like a question that still awaits an answer. When an Israeli acts and speaks in a manner favorable to his country it is called "Zionism". When an American or Canadian or Frenchman does the same thing it is patriotism or nationalism. Why do we assign a unique word to them? Zionism, to me, is kind of like referring to the suffragette movement in the present tense. Weird.

Air Force F-16 fighter jets scrambled Sunday to intercept aircraft that entered the airspace over President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida — the second time that’s happened in 48 hours, NORAD says. A civilian aircraft flew into the no-fly zone over the property at around 1:15 p.m. Sunday, according to a statement. The fighter jets fired flares to warn the pilots to move out of the area, the military said. The aircraft was then escorted out of the area.

President Trump is giving this anti-Israel campus rabble-rouser a ticket to study abroad — for good. A Palestinian activist who led the disruptive protests at both Columbia University and Barnard College has been arrested by ICE agents at his campus apartment, according to his lawyer. Mahmoud Khalil, who completed his graduate studies at Ivy League Columbia in December, also potentially faces having his visa revoked and his green card canceled following President Trump’s crackdown on unrest at colleges, attorney Amy Greer said Sunday. He was inside his university-owned apartment a few blocks from campus Saturday night when ICE agents entered the residence and took him into custody, Greer said.

The unveiling of the USAID’s scandalous misappropriation of money continues. This week, MSNBC tried to toss a lifesaver to Stacey Abrams, asking her to explain the $2 billion allotted to her pop-up nonprofit by the EPA when she lacked all experience for managing so much money. Didn’t work. In fact, her own words underscore that this was a Democrat party grift. She claimed it was to be used to buy energy-saving appliances for people who could not otherwise afford them. In other words, a new, more expensive remake of the Obama phone giveaway. Imagine how Stacey would allocate this pelf.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom refuses to protect women’s sports just days after he claimed it was “unfair” for men to play in women’s sports. In a podcast featuring Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, Newsom said men in women’s sports are “unfair” but did not answer Kirk’s question as to whether men should be prohibited. Newsom then suggested that there needs to be a way to balance fairness with the mental health of these young men, otherwise they might “commit suicide.” “There’s also a humility and a grace. You know that these poor people are more likely to commit suicide,

Iran has also been installing more advanced centrifuges, increasing its capacity to enrich uranium faster than ever. The Iranian regime appears to believe that nuclear weapons will give it leverage to silence opposition at home and deter any foreign intervention that could threaten its rule. A nuclear-armed Iran poses an existential threat not only to the "Little Satan," Israel, and the "Great Satan," the US, but to all the oil-rich Gulf countries in the Middle East. The task is not just about protecting Israel, Europe and the US; it is about preventing.... the mother of all arms-races throughout the Middle East.

  1. It’s good to be king — or a district judge. Judge Amir Ali has no power to appropriate money or spend it. Neither does he have any authority over the conduct of US foreign policy. Ali is not letting that stop him in his escalating conflict with the Trump administration over USAID spending, though. The judge won a modified victory in the Supreme Court, which opted not to stop him from trying to force the Trump administration to spend money that it has currently paused. In a dissent expressing shock and dismay that the court is letting Ali proceed on his current course,
Three cheers for Jeff Bezos, fighting

Jeff Bezos is one of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs — but making his Washington Post staffers face reality may be his toughest-ever career challenge. A long time ago in a media galaxy that now seems far, far away, the Post was one of the most respected newspapers in the country, capturing 68 Pulitzers in the process. But in recent years, especially since Donald Trump’s first presidential run, the paper’s shift from left-of-center to hard-left extremism has become obvious and overt. The paper has never endorsed a Republican presidential candidate in its history — boosting the likes of Jimmy Carter (twice!)

[Barnard's] radical "studies" departments are propaganda mills that teach students what to think rather than how to think. Consider, for example, the "Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies Department". Its website calls for students to "smash the white supremacist hetero-patriarchy." In other words, this women's studies department has little to do with scholarship, teaching or learning. It has everything to do with advocacy. That is true of many other specialized studies departments at Barnard. Signs at these protests call for "war" and "intifada".

As a lifelong Democrat, I never imagined I would watch my own party embarrass itself so thoroughly — and so publicly — as it did during Tuesday’s joint session of Congress. From obnoxious booing to childish protest signs to a sitting member of Congress having to be physically removed from the chamber, Democrats turned what should have been a solemn, dignified event into a bad reality show. And for what? To go viral on TikTok? To book a slot on MSNBC to brag about their “resistance”? Nothing was more disgraceful than when my colleagues refused to stand or clap when 13-year-old DJ Daniel, a brain-cancer survivor, was made an honorary Secret Service agent.

Get ready to be bombarded with ghoulish ads warning about grandmothers dying and children denied needed cancer treatments “just to make billionaires like Elon Musk even richer.” The ads, paid for by a Democratic PAC, started running Monday. And Monday night Democrats attending President Donald Trump’s speech to Congress held up paddles with the message “Save Medicaid.” It’s demagoguery in full swing to combat Republican efforts to control federal spending on Medicaid and stabilize the nation’s debt. Gov. Kathy Hochul is claiming, “House Republicans just voted to rip health care away from up to 1.8 million New Yorkers — all to bankroll giveaways for billionaires.”

Warren, Mich. — Bernie Sanders is standing alone on the back of a pickup truck shouting into a bullhorn. He’s facing several hundred ecstatic voters huddled outside a suburban Detroit high school — the group that did not fit inside the high school’s gym or two overflow rooms. The crowd screams in delight when he tells them that a combined total of 9,000 people had shown up for the rally. “What all of this tells me, is not just in Michigan or in Vermont, the people of this country will not allow us to move toward oligarchy. They will not allow Trump to take us into authoritarianism,” Sanders yelled.

In a recent podcast interview with popular host Joe Rogan, comedian Bill Murray complained about the false description he felt famous journalist Bob Woodward had rendered of Murray’s good friend, the late John Belushi. As he expounded to Rogan on what he felt was Woodward’s gross inaccuracy, Murray mused that as a result, he began to think that President Nixon was framed by Woodward’s similarly false reporting during the Watergate scandal. While Murray was not making a serious allegation about Watergate, in fact he was generally correct:

The warm-fuzzy marketing appeal of ActBlue to attract Democratic “small donors” has turned into the party’s worst nightmare: It is now being accused of operating a “money-laundering operation” as the Democratic party’s main fundraising platform, according to Republican lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee. Suspicions surfaced when small donor funds reached billions with the math failing to add up. “We are investigating potentially fraudulent and illicit financial activity” in connection with ActBlue’s network of on-line platforms, read a letter addressed to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen by Republican lawmakers Rep.
