During Donald Trump's big speech on Tuesday night, the Democrats proved more than ever that they hate this country and do not wish to see it succeed. They refused to clap for common sense things like lowering taxes and removing dangerous criminals from the streets. Even worse, they failed to applaud for everyone from the mothers of young girls who were brutally murdered to foster dads and foster children. But one of the most disgusting moments of the evening came when they refused to acknowledge a young boy with brain cancer for something that was about as far from partisan as you can get.

On Wednesday morning, in a 5-4 emergency decision, the Supreme Court upheld a decision from U.S. District Judge Amir Ali that essentially says that Donald Trump can't withhold $2 billion in USAID money from existing contractors. Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Amy Coney Barrett sided with the three liberal members of the court. Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, and Brett Kavanaugh voted in favor of Trump, with Justice Alito writing the lengthy dissent that begins with: Does a single district-court judge who likely lacks jurisdiction have the unchecked power to compel the Government of the United States to pay out (and probably lose forever) 2 billion taxpayer

If you watched Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress Tuesday evening, you know that Democrats behaved like children, and Rep. Al Green (D-Texas) was so disruptive that House Speaker Mike Johnson had him forcibly removed from the chamber.
Speaking to reporters after the incident, Green doubled down on his disruptive behavior and, of course, defended his childish actions.
“The president said he had a mandate, and I was making it clear to the president that he has no mandate to cut Medicaid,” Green said. “I have people who are very fearful. These are poor people, and they have only Medicaid in their lives

CBS’s Stephen Colbert stayed up for a live show on what turned out to be Wednesday morning after President Donald Trump’s address to Congress. Colbert spent his monologue praising Rep. Al Green for getting kicked out of the House chamber and attacking Trump on everything from transgender issues to shipbuilding. Later, he would welcome former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to wonder, “Where is the soul of our nation headed?”
Democrats have long used Trump’s speeches as a chance to engage in eye-roll-inducing theatrics, but Colbert was a big fan of Green,

“If we have 6 months of democracy left i’ll be surprised,” actress Mia Farrow said in Bluesky, adding “Im guessing 3-4 months – unless we do something.” [BlSky]
What that “something” is, Farrow didn’t explain to her 200,000 followers.
Farrow’s wild theory came just as President Donald Trump was delivering his primetime address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday.
She also revealed new nicknames for the president and took shots at the Republicans cheering him on during his speech.

ABC News staffers are bracing for imminent layoffs while the division will restructure its programming including the merging of its “20/20” and “Nightline” programs and the consolidation of its “Good Morning America” productions, according to reports.
The Walt Disney Co. is set to lay off around 200 people from its ABC News Group division as well as its Disney Entertainment Networks unit — a move that constitutes cutting some 6% of the combined staff of the two units, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Almin Karamehmedovic, president of ABC News, circulated a memo to employees on Wednesday morning confirming the changes.

Democratic mayors of four major cities said Wednesday that Congress and the Trump administration are exaggerating crime committed by immigrants and attacking so-called sanctuary cities simply to score political points, as Republicans hammered the policies for shielding criminals and discouraging cooperation with federal officials.
The comments came in a hearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, where Republicans accused the mayors of putting their cities in danger and undermining President Donald Trump’s mass deportation efforts.
Republicans have repeatedly highlighted crimes committed by immigrants who crossed illegally into the U.S.,

When the president addresses Congress, we expect some partisanship. When Democrats talk about how they want to force people to do their bidding, Republicans don’t applaud. When Republicans talk about cutting people’s taxes, Democrats sit on their hands.
But there have always been times in the past when the entire chamber applauds, sometimes members of the opposing party even stand. That’s because the person addressing them is president of the United States, not leader of a faction.
Until now.
We have never seen a spectacle like we saw last night.

As predicted, the meltdowns Democrats were having prior to President Donald Trump giving his joint address to Congress Tuesday night carried over into the speech itself, with ping pong paddles containing anti-Trump messaging being flashed, "feminist" Democrats wearing pink with political messaging on it, and repeated interruptions of Trump's speech happening in its first few minutes.
In one of the more dramatic moments, Rep. Al Green (D-TX), who was the first Congressman in this session to declare on the House floor his intentions to try and have Trump impeached, was escorted out by the House Sergeant in Arms at the direction of House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) after repeated interruptions

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace said Tuesday on her network’s coverage of the presidential address to a joint session of Congress that she hopes the young man who survived pediatric cancer who wants to become a police officer does not commit suicide because of something like January 6
Wallace said, “Let’s just stick with DJ. I mean, I think that if there was a moment where your whole body could relax and you could celebrate someone, it was the 13 year old cancer survivor who would like to be a police officer. It was a genuinely beautiful moment.
