Joe Rogan posted a 3-hour-long interview with Elon Musk today. I haven't watched all of it yet but already there are some highlights worth sharing. For instance, here's Rogan suggesting that Trump's cabinet is like nothing American has seen in a long time. People always saw Trump as a disrupter of the status quo but now it feels like every person he's got in his cabinet are disrupters as well. This makes for interesting times. Of course DOGE is probably the biggest disrupter so far in this term and was a major topic of the conversation. Pollster Frank Luntz conducted a series of shock polls--albeit somewhat unscientific ones--on the X platform after Zelensky suffered a total freakout in the Oval Office meet-up with President Trump and VP Vance--and he released the final results on Saturday. As I highlight here, the polling is not real, but it's worth mulling over a snapshot like this, I think. And whatever your opinion on Luntz's biases, stick with me here.

Virtually all political leaders — from both sides of the aisle and across the pond as well — have weighed in on the Oval Office dustup between President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday. Unsurprisingly, most of those in the Donald Trump Bad camp have attempted to lay things at the feet of Trump and Vance, conveniently overlooking the context of the discussions leading up to the meeting and the 30 minutes prior to the moment when things ratcheted up considerably.
As with most things these days, the incident provided a Rorschach test of one's views on the players involved.
The left once again showed its true colors after President Trump's meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday. The pearl-clutching commentators, be they in Congress or the media, immediately ran with their favorite narrative: the explosive meeting was Trump’s fault, Trump embarrassed America, and he "ambushed" the poor Ukrainian leader in an orchestrated setup.
There's just one problem—it's complete nonsense.

According to the outline Starmer proposed on BBC News, following the disastrous Zelenskyy meeting in the White House, the British PM called President Trump and also Emmanuel Macron. According to his statements, Starmer told Trump he would work with Macron +2 unidentified countries (a “coalition of the willing”), to organize an EU security force for a Ukraine ceasefire; then the group will require Trump to provide a U.S. troop “backstop” as an insurance policy.
