Here’s What Trump Has to Say About the
‘DOGE Dividend'

On Tuesday, Elon Musk responded to a proposal from James Fishback, CEO of Azoria, regarding a unique idea: the “DOGE Dividend.” This initiative aims to issue a $5,000 tax refund check to approximately 79 million American families, funded by a projected total savings of $2 trillion from DOGE. Fishback emphasizes that this dividend would not only compensate taxpayers for the misuse of their dollars but also help restore trust in government accountability.Fishback’s argument is compelling: the DOGE Dividend represents a social contract between taxpayers and their government, a much-needed refund given the egregious waste uncovered. Go back several years as some people who have retired only have SS income now and don't have enough income to pay Federal taxes but have for many years prior.

Suggest the DOGE dividend be limited to those who actually had to write a check to the IRS sometime in the last 10 years, and exclude any who pay no taxes.

I could use a 5 grand stimulus. However, it might be better used to go into the SS fund, robbed blind these last few decades.

We are projected to go deeper in debt this year and we are sending $5,000 dollars back to taxpayers? Crazy. Use it to fund the budget.

Nice idea but the Gimmedat crowd will feel cheated and discriminated against. The best "feel good" gesture would be to pay a substantial chunk of money against the national debt to prove that government is going in the right direction, then set it up as a yearly autopay. It would be a big boost toward American morale and confidence.

This is not a good idea. This will increase inflation. Better to use it to reduce the deficit. If it is done, then it should only go to taxpayers.

It would probably evolve into a typical government program, thanks to dems and liberal judges, where the earned income gimmeedats would go to the head of the line, and legitimate taxpayers would either be left out or would end up paying for it. As a tax payer for over 65+ years, I have little faith that our politicians would do this fairly!

After President Donald Trump was elected, we published a semi-whimsical list of what would be “out” and “in” after his victory as the left instantly switched gears (“What’s In And What’s Out After Trump’s Stunning Victory”). On that list: Out: The economy is doing great! In: Why hasn’t Trump fixed the economy yet?? Over the weekend, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries proved us right. “Donald Trump and Republicans consistently promised that they were going to lower the high cost of living, and they’ve done the exact opposite,” Jeffries said. “They’ve shown no interest in lowering costs in the United States of America, which are too high.”

In his 1951 farewell address to Congress and the American public (known as the "old soldiers never die, they just fade away" speech), Army General Douglas MacArthur said something the Trump administration should recall as it seeks to end the war between Russia and Ukraine: "... once war is forced upon us, there is no other alternative than to apply every available means to bring it to a swift end. War's very object is victory, not prolonged indecision. In war there is no substitute for victory."

On Friday, the not-so-surprising news sailed across the transom that President Trump’s Department of Justice moved to dismiss the five-count bribery case against New York City’s fun-loving Mayor Adams. The DOJ cited concerns that the charges were retribution against Adams for criticizing the Biden administration’s immigration policies — and that they “improperly interfered with Mayor Adams’ campaign in the 2025 mayoral election.” Indeed, the DOJ letter stipulates that Adams’s case will be reviewed again by prosecutors after November’s ballot.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday night didn’t rule out removing Mayor Eric Adams from office after allegations emerged that the feds would drop their criminal case against Hizzoner in exchange for his help with President Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration. The governor told host Rachel Maddow that she read a letter penned by now-former acting Manhattan US Attorney Danielle Sassoon that claimed Adams’ legal team offered a “quid pro quo” in hopes of seeing his federal charges get dismissed.
