Transitioning the Federal Workforce into Farmhands

I was reading one of James Howard Kunstler’s exquisite essays when I stumbled upon a hilarious conversation in his comment section. Discussing President Trump’s turbocharged criminal alien relocation efforts, a reader named Mitch observed, “People keep asking who’s going to man the grills, pick the crops, clean the houses when all the illegals get deported. We have lots of useless government-paid parasites that could fill those jobs nicely. They’re educated, speak English, and currently produce nothing but obstacles.” Bandit replied, “But bureaucrats don’t do work.

Those working for the federal government that were hired needs to be evaluated FAIRLY. If this person's performance really is below average or just average, it needs to be reported as such. Lots of documenting, etc. Then there is no other option but termination. Color, gender or religion should never enter into any evaluation unless the person uses these to try to keep the job (DEI). It's PERFORMANCE. The government is currently hitting rock bottom. Don't expect to see changes for sometime. This problem is too big to fix overnight. It actually started with Obama and went full speed ahead under Biden.

The 81,000 new IRS agents haven't been on the job long enough to get comfortable or completely lose all useful skills. Hand them some gardening tools and give them a chance. Business guru Jack Welch once said that the bottom ten percent of every work force should be fired every year and replaced with new hires. The government could use thirty percent as a standard and do very well.

I would just like to remind people that these NTSB investigators, along with the FAA safety inspectors/investigators are federal employees. Yes, there are a lot of paper pushing bureaucrats and arseholes like the TSA screeners, but not everyone is and some actually have jobs that do benefit the public.

General Milley may face consequences after all 15 replies

On January 22, in Mark Milley: pardons and mutiny, I argued a case against General Mark Milly for mutiny, which carries a penalty up to death. Of course, the argument was academic as Milley was given a blanket, preemptive pardon by Joe Biden’s handlers. (snip) Now it appears Milley may face consequences of a sort, if not exactly the consequences he arguably deserves: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth will announce he is "immediately pulling" retired Gen. Mark Milley's personal security detail and security clearance, multiple senior administration officials tell Fox News.

Within moments of returning to the Oval Office on Monday, President Donald Trump got to work signing a flurry of executive orders. One of them is focused on "protecting the United States from Foreign Terrorists and other national security and public safety threats." "It is the policy of the United States to protect its citizens from aliens who intend to commit terrorist attacks, threaten our national security, espouse hateful ideology, or otherwise exploit the immigration laws for malevolent purposes," the order states. That's bad news for pro-terrorist visas holders causing trouble on college campuses by advocating for terrorist organizations like Hamas.

While it’s true pardoned members of Joe Biden’s crime family can be interviewed by the FBI, and lying to an agent is a crime, they don’t have to speak with federal agents. It’s equally true they can be subpoenaed by Congress and may be prosecuted for perjury, but I’m quite sure that like James Comey, Christopher Wray and a variety of other swamp dwellers, they’ll suddenly develop very bad memories. It’s equally likely Former General Mark Milley, also pardoned by Biden’s handlers, will suffer memory loss. There is, however, one consequence, small for most Americans, but large indeed for a perfumed prince of the Pentagon:

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) flew into a rage over President Donald Trump pardoning and commuting some 1,500 Americans who were ensnared by the FBI’s overreach concerning the January 6 riots. It was an action long foreseen, though liberals need something to whine about, as it’s their only crutch regarding the 2024 elections. The California liberal took to social media to voice her outrage: Tonight, the President announced pardons and commutations of sentences for those who violently attacked the Capitol and law enforcement officers on January 6th.

Former New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, who's famous for predicting that President Trump would bring global recession in 2017, can't stop talking. Now he's now got another forecast for us. Nobel economist Paul Krugman says Trump's policies will leave his blue-collar base feeling 'brutally scammed' The Nobel-winning economist says tariffs and deportations will hurt instead of help the poor. The economist, who won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 2008, criticized the president-elect's plans to raise tariffs and cut taxes during Tuesday's episode of "The Daily Blast with Greg Sargent" podcast. He told The New Republic show that those and other policies would lead to the working class paying higher prices

I’m guessing it would take quite a lot to cross California Democrat Sen. Adam Schiff’s ethical line because in Donald Trump’s first term and in the subsequent corrupt J6 Committee, the long-necked Democrat proved that he was willing to do just about anything to “get Trump.” As fierce and nasty a partisan as you could find in The Swamp, Schiff was a leader of both impeachment trials against the 45th president—now the 47th president—and for years promised evidence of Russia collusion that he never produced. We're still waiting, Adam. He is so dishonest that the House censured him in 2023

I’m sure that all of you remember how ABC and George Stephanopoulos entered into a $15 million settlement with Donald Trump, plus providing an apology, after George S repeatedly called Donald Trump a “rapist.” Trump was never tried or found guilty of rape, and calling him a “rapist” was and is pure defamation. (And that’s entirely separate from the peculiarities in E. Jean Carroll’s narrative.) It seems, though, that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (“AOC”) missed out on that whole $15 million dollars thing. On Sunday, in one of a series of anti-Trump rants, AOC explicitly called Trump a rapist.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) faced a monumental political chore: telling Joe Biden, the leader of his party, he needed to step down. It’s no small feat, and it’s not like the Democrats had much time. The June debate on CNN, where Biden got rolled by Donald Trump, has set off alarm bells. The cover-up of the president’s mental health got exposed—there was no pivoting away. Then, he caught COVID a few weeks later during a Nevada campaign stop. It reinforced the narrative that was now firmly entrenched in the minds of voters

This decision by the US Army to withhold the name of the third member of the Black Hawk helicopter crew involved in the Reagan air disaster was never going to last. It’s the worst aviation accident in years. All 67 individuals involved perished—and the Army's initial refusal to release the name led to conspiracy theories and incidents of misidentification. There’s a balance between privacy and transparency—I get it. The family needed time to mourn, but the Army refusing to release the female pilot’s name was never a sustainable position. They finally caved and released her name tonight: Capt. Rebecca Lobach (via NY Post):

The doomed military helicopter that collided with an American Airlines flight over Washington, DC, Wednesday night was conducting training to prepare for a catastrophic event or attack on the US, according to officials. The crew aboard the UH-60 Black Hawk chopper, the 12th Aviation Battalion, is responsible for top-secret evacuation missions meant to whisk top US officials from DC to secure locations in the case of a national emergency such as a terrorist or nuclear attack. In a press conference on Thursday night, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the soldiers “were on a routine, annual re-training of night flights on a standard corridor for a continuity of government mission.”
