McDonald's is being sued over a program that grants scholarships to Latino students, a move that came days after the fast-food giant ditched some of its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies.
The American Alliance for Equal Rights, which challenges race-based preference and discrimination, alleges the McDonald's HACER program discriminates against certain high school students.
Last week, McDonald's said it would adjust some of its DEI policies, which critics have deemed "woke."

After a fire that never should have happened burned thousands of houses to the ground in a liberal enclave of Los Angeles through a combination of Democrat incompetence and more Democrat incompetence, you might ask yourself whether the deep blue people of Los Angeles are ever going to come to their senses and start electing people who aren’t a bunch of communist morons more concerned with Ghana junkets and lesbian representation at the fire department then with actually doing their jobs. Don’t bother asking. The answer is “No.” They’re never going to change. They can’t change.

The wildfires that have engulfed portions of Los Angeles aren't the only things that have been heating up in California in recent weeks.
So, too, has the debate over city, county, and state leadership in the Golden State, with Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, and the woke Los Angeles Fire Department all feeling the heat in a much different way regarding their "priorities" as the fires rage on.
There have also been, on the Democrat/media side, accusations of "climate change," with so-called "leaders" like Newsom and others blaming it and Republicans who aren't sold on the left's climate change agenda for the fires that have happened

The Washington Post is dying, like Democracy does in darkness.
Cringe-worthy slogans aside, the Washington Post's downfall is well deserved as the rag has become an ultra-biased outlet that not only proved itself to be an unreliable social narrator but proved that the ideology that it supported is an absolute failure.
So it's not a surprise that over the course of the years, its audience has more or less completely abandoned it, leaving it a shadow of its former self, a Goliath in the news industry.
According to Semafor.com, WaPo has bled out its traffic, and that bleed was heavy. From 2021, it's lost 90 percent of its daily users:

Mediators have handed Israel and Hamas the final draft of a deal that could finally bring the 15-month-long Gaza war to a close — with US officials saying a ceasefire was closer than it’s ever been after a midnight breakthrough in negotiations.
An official briefed on the talks — which have been attended by envoys of both US President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump — told Reuters that Qatar presented terms to both sides at a conference in the nation’s capital of Doha.
The ceasefire agreement’s text would end hostilities and release hostages — and another round of talks planned for Tuesday morning

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris decided to cosplay as leaders on Monday by giving a briefing on the devastating California wildfires. That's the thing about pretending, though. It rarely ends well, and things went downhill very quickly. While sitting at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, Biden kept his eyes locked on his script, bragging about giving victims a "one-time payment of $770." What that is supposed to accomplish wasn't immediately apparent. Giving away a one-time payment of $770 is basically meaningless to anyone who lost their home in the wildfires. That might cover a few nights at a hotel, but that's about it.

WASHINGTON — President Biden touted his infamous decision to end the American military presence in Afghanistan during an end-of-term foreign policy speech Monday, saying he “saw no reason to keep thousands of servicemen” there — despite top generals warning him against the move.
“Today, I can also report to the American people [as] the first president in decades who’s not leaving a war in Afghanistan to his successor,” the 82-year-old boasted at the State Department, arguing that “the primary objective of war had been accomplished” when SEAL Team Six took out Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden during a daring Pakistan raid in 2011.

As Democrats continue to reel from the decisive Republican victory in November, recurring charges are adding insult to injury for some who donated to help steer Harris toward victory. According to a report from Politico, a joint fundraising committee that worked with the Democratic National Committee (DNC) still has some donors enrolled in recurring payments. This is causing some strife among those who gave to the campaign.

In an unexpected turn of events, Iran has offered aid to California as the state grapples with devastating wildfires ravaging Los Angeles. The offer raises questions about the motivations behind Tehran's odd gesture. While Democrats may view this as a diplomatic move, many conservatives are wary of accepting aid from a regime known for its hostility toward the United States and its support for anti-American causes. Critics argue that California should focus on strengthening ties with trusted allies and domestic resources rather than relying on help from a terrorist-backed nation with a track record of undermining American interests.

Before we get to the gist of the article, we can all agree that nobody trolls better than President-elect Donald Trump. The guy's not only a master at trolling; he often uses the Democrats' own words to reduce them to rubble, which he did throughout the 2024 presidential campaign.
In the two most memorable examples, Trump hopped a ride in a Wisconsin garbage truck in response to outgoing President Joe Biden calling his supporters "garbage." And in response to Vice President Kamala Harris' unsubstantiated claim (lie) that she once worked at McDonald's, Trump responded by working a short shift at a McDonald's drive-through window.

If excuses were good for putting out fires, California’s Democrat chief executive Gavin Newsom could have his state fixed in a jiffy.
As California sailed into the weekend literally ablaze, Newsom thought there was no better time to sit for a half-hour podcast interview with a former Obama administration official. It was beautiful and truly everything we’ve grown to expect from a Democrat in a position of authority.
In 30 minutes, Newsom explained that every criticism leveled at him is “misinformation,” that he is just as much a victim as anyone who saw his home burn to ashes, and that he’s helping fix the problem even though it’s not his responsibility.

Mercifully, President Joe Biden gave the last foreign policy speech of his single term on Monday, and it was as delusional and insulting as you'd expect. Instead of taking responsibility for his laundry list of failures, including the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, Biden painted a much rosier picture, proclaiming America's enemies have become "weaker" under his leadership.
Is that true? Of course, it's not true, but what do you expect from someone who displays sociopathic tendencies?

There are a lot of people currently holding down jobs in the Biden administration that we would like to see gone. A new president is coming in a week, and as a new broom sweeps clean, soon-to-be President Trump's second term promises to sweep very clean indeed.
One person we'll be glad to see gone is FBI Director Chris Wray, architect of the infamous Mar-a-Lago raid, when FBI agents rifled through the Trump's personal items, evidently expecting to find classified documents hidden among Melania's lingerie.
Well, he's leaving now - and trying to spin his legacy as the unemployment line looms.

The Los Angeles County fires have been raging for days. They’re going to be the costliest wildfires in American history.

Countless residents have lost their homes and livelihoods, but leave it to The Associated Press to focus on something that no one cares about right now: the resulting inequity during the recovery from this disaster.

Question: What do the following have in common?
Stupid pet tricks
Bungee cord jumping
Abolishing the borders that define a country
Making oneself a human cannonball
Commuting the duly imposed death sentences of convicted murderers and rapists
Setting oneself on fire
Surrendering Afghanistan to barbarians from the 11th century
Jumping Snake River Canyon on a rocket-powered motorcycle
Closing all the schools to prevent transmission of a disease that barely affects children.
Answer: What these have in common is that all are stunts. They are designed to attract attention, and they succeed in doing so. But that’s all they do.

Carrie Underwood will perform at Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration next week, a source confirms to The Post.
Underwood, 41, said in a statement to The Post, “I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
On Monday, political reporter Matthew Foldi shared a picture on X of the program for the inauguration, revealing that Underwood will sing “America the Beautiful” on Jan. 20 at the US Capitol.

As the LA fires rage on, one question rings out: Where is the City of Angels’ Rudy Giuliani?
After 9/11, Rudy became “America’s Mayor” by leading the charge on disaster response, sparing no effort day or night to reassure the public that the city was going to fight its way back to normal and doing everything in his power to steer his town through the aftermath of the deadliest attack on US soil ever.
The images of him at Ground Zero have entered the pantheon of American political iconography for a reason.

AUSTIN – Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has directed that American flags on state property be flown at full staff to mark President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration next week, bypassing the national mourning period for former President Jimmy Carter.
The move has sparked both praise and criticism on social media.
On Dec. 29, President Biden ordered flags across the country to fly at half-staff for 30 days following Carter's death. On Monday, Gov. Abbott released a statement that he would be directing flags on state property to be flown at full staff on Jan. 20, Inauguration Day.

President-elect Donald Trump is full of praise for Senator John Fetterman after sitting down with the Pennsylvania Democrat over the weekend at Mar-a-Lago.
“It was a totally fascinating meeting. He’s a fascinating man, and his wife is lovely. They were both up, and I couldn’t be more impressed,” Trump said in a Sunday interview with the Washington Examiner.
“He’s a commonsense person. He’s not liberal or conservative. He’s just a commonsense person, which is beautiful,” Trump added.

Washington—The Justice Department can publicly release special counsel Jack Smith’s investigative report on President-elect Donald Trump’s 2020 election interference case, a federal judge said Monday — the latest ruling in a court dispute over the highly anticipated document days before Trump is set to take office again.
But a temporary injunction barring the immediate release of the report remains in effect until Tuesday, and it’s unlikely U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon’s order will be the last word on the matter. Defense lawyers may seek to challenge it all the way up to the Supreme Court.

Senate committees will begin to hold hearings this week on 13 cabinet nominees selected by President-elect Donald Trump.
Senate Republican leadership is tasked with helping Trump fast-track all 13 nominees out of committee for a full floor Senate vote.
Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) promised Trump that he would work hard to sidestep any roadblocks Democrats present, even if that means forcing senators to work Fridays.
“All it takes is one Democrat to refuse to consent to fast-tracking any of these nominees, meaning Senate Majority Leader John Thune would have to burn a few days of floor time to confirm each one,” Punchbowl News reported Monday.

During President Donald Trump's first term, First Lady Melania Trump seemed to be purposely keeping a lower profile than most first ladies. She appeared on President Trump's arm at the usual events, but most of her focus — rightly so — seemed to be on being Mom to her and Donald's son Barron.
But Barron is all grown up now, and Melania Trump seems to see herself maintaining a somewhat higher profile in her husband's second term. On Monday, she sat down for another interview with Fox News's "Fox and Friends" to discuss her plans.

As the California wildfires continued to consume large swaths of land, destroy homes, gut businesses, and take lives, a Democratic Congresswoman from the state went on television and offered up a galaxy-brain scapegoat. Maxine Waters once famously urged her supporters to angrily confront Trump administration officials out in public. She instructed them to "create a crowd" to "push back" in order to send a message that such people are "not welcome anymore, anywhere." Mob tactics. Fast forward to recent days, and she's taken to reciting a stale, partisan, irrelevant talking point as her party's leadership failures in her home state have grown increasingly undeniable.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korea’s spy agency told lawmakers on Monday that two North Korean soldiers who were captured by Ukrainian forces while fighting alongside Russian forces in Russia’s Kursk border region haven’t expressed a desire to seek asylum in South Korea.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he’s willing to hand over the soldiers to North Korea if the country’s authoritarian leader, Kim Jong Un, arranges for an exchange with Ukrainian prisoners of war in Russia. Zelenskyy said one of the North Korean soldiers wishes to stay in Ukraine while the other wants to return to his country, which was consistent with interview videos released by his government.

Foreign aid has been a pillar of America’s global strategy since the Marshall Plan and Japan’s postwar reconstruction—historic successes that created allies with booming economies. Today, foreign aid spending has surged to heights not seen in decades. But key agencies like USAID have veered off course with pet projects replacing strategic interests. Accountability is virtually non-existent. It’s time for serious reform.
Under the Biden Administration, USAID’s budget exploded, funneling billions to activist NGOs and organizations favored by the progressive wing of the Democratic party. The largest recipients of USAID funding are foreign governments and NGOs—practically guaranteeing minimal oversight and no chance of return on investment.

A glance across America and Europe leads to an unmistakable conclusion: Revolution is in the air. The failures of democracies are sparking internal upheavals. Thankfully, spasms of violence and bloodshed are few, but a toxic brew of overbearing governments, shrinking freedoms and undeniable decline is producing demands for big changes. A common thread from California to Great Britain, France and Germany is that liberal underpinnings have morphed into sloppy socialism, unchecked immigration, cultural clashes and restraints on critical speech.

In January 2025, wildfires devastated Los Angeles County.
While not every detail is yet known – and some details will likely never be known – these fires have destroyed entire communities, burned thousands of houses, schools, churches and businesses, killed and injured people and pets.

Nearly 100,000 signatures have been gathered on a petition demanding Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass resign immediately over her "gross mismanagement" of the devastating wildfires engulfing her city.
The fires in and around the LA area have resulted in at least 16 deaths (five died in the Palisades fire on the west side of Los Angeles), burned over 36,000 acres, and destroyed more than 12,000 homes and structures.
Those numbers, tragically, are likely to go higher as firefighters battle to contain the blaze, weather forecasts predict more winds, and thousands of piles of rubble have yet to be searched for victims.

Oy veh — it’s gonna get mashugana out there.
In the waning days of the Biden administration (which also coincides with the waning days of Joe Biden), a few uncomfortable truths have emerged. First, Biden is destined to be remembered as one of the least consequential presidents in American history. His tenure was a speed bump -- a thin slice of bologna that’s sandwiched between the two Trump terms. For a guy like Biden, who so clearly covets adulation, recognition, and public praise, that’s gotta sting.
Two, it’s now apparent that Biden’s presidency coincided with a national realignment. The public has changed.

Sweden has the highest sexual assault rates in the EU. When researchers tried to unravel the cause of the sexual assault epidemic in the country they discovered that “first- and second-generation immigrants constituted the majority of the rape offenders”.
Over half of immigrant sex offenders came from the Middle East and Africa.
In Malmo, the largest ‘Muslim city’ in Sweden and Europe, where a quarter of the population is Muslim, the study found that 71% of the convicted rapists were immigrants.
Swedish authorities tried to prosecute the female lead researcher for releasing those numbers. [SNIP] Muslims have been responsible for some 40,000 sexual assaults in a country of only 10 million.

LA Mayor Karen Bass promised voters before being elected that she would not travel abroad — only to be caught gallivanting around Ghana when the worst wildfires in the city’s history broke out last week.
Just a year before she took office, Bass pledged to the New York Times that if elected, “Not only would I of course live here [in Los Angeles], but I also would not travel internationally — the only places I would go would be DC, Sacramento, San Francisco and New York, in relation to LA.”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is reportedly attempting to kill the Laken Riley Act, a bill that requires the DHS to take illegal aliens who have been charged, arrested, or convicted for crimes such as theft, larceny, burglary or shoplifting into custody.
Pablo Manriquez, a news reporter, wrote in a post on X that “sources at DHS” were informing him that the cost of the Laken Riley Act was estimated to be between $20-$30 billion.
Manriquez added that the DHS sources had cited “a $7 billion figure just for beds BEFORE the mandate’s costs on local law enforcement.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has signed an executive order to suspend regulations that would impede the rebuilding process following the destructive wildfires.
The three-page executive order signed by the governor this week would aim to streamline the building permit process as well as rollback environmental regulations that would subject rebuilding to layers of time-consuming bureaucracy. The order covers all of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, both of which were affected by the wildfires, which have been estimated to be the costliest in California history.

Outgoing FBI Director Christopher Wray said Sunday he’s leaving his post when President-elect Donald Trump assumes office to avoid throwing the bureau “deeper in the fray” as he defended the agency’s 2022 raid of the 45th president’s Florida estate.
The head of the FBI addressed his impending resignation, the controversial search for classified documents at Mar-a-Lago and how China is the “defining threat of our generation” in a wide-ranging interview on CBS’s “60 Minutes” Sunday night.
Wray, 58, said deciding to step down before completing his 10-year term was “one of the hardest decisions” he’s ever faced. He announced his departure from the post last month.

The number of deaths linked to the California wildfires has risen to 24, according to a Sunday evening update from the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner (DME).
Sixteen of those deaths are from the Eaton Fire, while eight are connected to the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles, NBC News reported. The medical examiner noted that the deaths are “still under investigation by the department” and that it “cannot confirm human remains until after the DME processes them at our facility.”
Many of those who have died have not been identified and are listed as John or Jane Does on the medical examiner’s website.

This year began in tragedy, as a man drove his truck, one with an ISIS flag, into those celebrating on Bourbon Street. He also got out and began firing. Police killed the suspect, Shamsud Din Jabbar, but not before he killed 14 people. There's been plenty of concerns about how law enforcement, including the FBI, handled the terrorist attack, making it even more necessary for Kash Patel to be confirmed as President-elect Donald Trump's FBI director. Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), in a recent episode of "Unmuted with Marsha" weighed in on all of this, with a sneak peak exclusive shared with Townhall.

Just when one thinks the debacle regarding California local leadership cannot possibly get worse, a new bombshell drops.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that a massive 3,000-acre wildfire raged out of control and engulfed homes in Pacific Palisades, California, on Tuesday afternoon. Shocking and heartbreaking footage has emerged showing people abandoning their cars and running for their lives.
Residents have lost their homes, entire livelihoods, and even their lives over the past several days as fires have spread all across Southern California with no signs of abating.

LOS ANGELES — Wildfires that have ignited across the Los Angeles area have left a trail of destruction, killing at least 24 people and destroying thousands of structures, officials said Sunday. In an update Sunday evening, the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner said a total of 24 people have died due to the wildfires. The cases remain under investigation by the department, which noted that only 10 have been confirmed as human remains. Efforts to gain an upper hand against the deadly infernos continued on Sunday as ominous new wind warnings as flames threatened additional Southern California communities.

President Trump’s trolling of Canada continues to trigger all of the right people including outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Now, one can add another highly influential leftist and potential Canadian Prime minister to the list.
Jagmeet Singh, the leader of the radical-left New Democratic Party (NDP) and candidate for Prime Minister, is still hopping mad over Trump’s trolling posted a deranged message to Trump on Sunday afternoon on his X account.
“I have a message for Donald Trump,” Singh began. “Our country’s not for sale.
“Not now. Not ever.”
