Los Angeles is burning and the East Coast and Midwest have been walloped by cold and snow. Naturally, the global warming alarmists screech and honk about human reliance of fossil fuels. It a gross and irresponsible assumption. It never takes long for the foolish to break out and Vermont socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders didn’t disappoint on Wednesday when he tweeted: “80,000 people told to evacuate. Blazes 0% contained. Eight months since the area has seen rain. The scale of damage and loss is unimaginable. Climate change is real, not ‘a hoax.’ Donald Trump must treat this like the existential crisis it is.”

As everyone knows, one of the Democrats' main guiding principles is Rahm Emanuel's infamous line, "Never let a crisis go to waste." The Dems' overwhelming Number One guiding principle, however, is, "Never let a crisis go without reminding everyone that you're a loathsome human being." The Climate Church dullards are an international embarrassment whose only real skill is the ability to move goal posts in order to help them sell their latest load of ideological horse dung. One person has been taken into custody in connection to the Kenneth Fire, which erupted Thursday afternoon in Los Angeles’ West Hills, as ferocious wildfires continue to tear through Southern California, according to reports. The LAPD launched an arson investigation at Victory Trailhead, where the devastating fire broke out, with the area being treated as a crime scene, Brian Entin of NewsNation wrote on X. The Kenneth Fire sparked just after 2:30 p.m. and has since spread over 800 acres (1.25 square miles) and continues to rip through Ventura County, Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley told reporters Thursday night.

There is a clip of Joe Rogan that is being widely circulated on social media right now, in which Rogan describes a conversation he had with a firefighter who warned him about the type of fires currently consuming greater Los Angeles. In the clip, which is from an episode back in July of 2024, Rogan recounts the conversation and describes – almost exactly – the types of conditions which would give rise to such a fire, including the wind and the inability to put it out. It’s eerie how spot on this prediction was. FOX News has details:

Apparently, the entire population of 9.6 million residents was mistakenly told to evacuate their homes around 4pm local time, according to Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn. The emergency alert was supposed to be for a specific region ‘impacted by the Kenneth Fire in Woodland Hills.‘ However, someone sent the alert to every resident in the greater Los Angeles region, creating massive anxiety and exacerbating an already tense situation.

Donald Trump just appointed a veteran who survived attempted Taliban murder to a position at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Back in October, when Sam Brown was running for Senate in Nevada, he described himself as a “fighter,” and said, “The Taliban tried to kill me and failed.” Terrorists set him on fire, and though he was seriously injured and scarred, he survived. Why on earth are we still hearing more expressions of empathy for Luigi Mangione, alleged assassin of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, than for his young children left fatherless? Incredibly silly women are fawning over the 26-year-old alleged cold-blooded killer of the CEO and even getting his face tattooed on their bodies as an everlasting memory of their stupidity. Some gays have idolized him as an 'icon,' too. Even jealous Sean Diddy Combs is complaining that Mangione is getting more attention than he is at the correctional center they’re both now imprisoned at.

One suspects he's quite used to them, but even for President-elect Donald Trump, Thursday has been a busy day. While he spent the morning, along with his wife Melania, at the funeral services for former President Jimmy Carter and later in the day announcing additional appointments to his incoming administration, a bevy of legal decisions was being made regarding him. First, the New York Court of Appeals denied his request to stay the sentencing in his Manhattan criminal case (set for Friday morning). Then, the Supreme Court did the same, just as the 11th Circuit denied his co-defendants' efforts to block the release of (former) Special Counsel Jack Smith's "Final Report."

The Los Angeles County Fire Department erroneously sent an evacuation warning text message alert to all of Los Angeles County on Thursday afternoon, inflicting more panic and confusion on an already traumatized public coping with the most damaging fires in Los Angeles history. The text message was sent at approximated 3:57 PM Pacific time to residents throughout Los Angeles County. It stated: “NEW: This is an emergency message from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. An EVACUATION WARNING has been issued in your area. Remain vigilant of any threats and be ready to evacuate. Gather loved ones, pets, and supplies. Continue to monitor local weather

The fires are still going out here in Los Angeles and new ones are emerging tonight, the Sunset fire and now a fire in Studio City, the air smells of fire and smoke, and the only thing worse is the inept local leadership. The entire political leadership in California deserves to be in jail. Okay, maybe that’s too much, but everyone must be fired. Police reportedly have been investigating the Kenneth fire in Woodland Hills near the southside of the San Fernando Valley as possible arson and have detained a suspect, according to a local Fox News affiliate.
